Developing an awareness of Depression.
- Mild depression is a normal occasional feeling;
- Early symptoms of depression are often dismissed by the subject: denial;
- Mass cultural denial has often labelled depression as "immaturity";
- There are many intensities and durations and frequencies of depression;
- Energy blocks can produce depression promoting behavioral habits;
- Depression has been considered epidemic in North America since the 1960's;
- Chronic illnesses encourage behaviors & attitudes which lead to depression;
- Malnutrition and/or parasitic infestation produce feelings of depression;
- Most doctors cannot effectively diagnose or treat depression;
- Knowledge of symptoms, influences and remedies can help anyone cope.
Symptoms:
- A. Sadness and pessimism, together;
- B. Hopelessness and despair, together,
- C. Concentration and motivation wanes;
- D. Detachment and withdrawal from others;
- E. Constant tiredness and feelings of apathy;
- F. Reduced physical activity & performance;
- G. Attraction to co-dependent activities, substances, etc;
- H. Contemplation of suicide or loss of identity.
- Common Influencing Sources -
- Hormonal imbalance: heredity, menstruation, menopause, ...
- Nutritional imbalance: vegetarianism, parasitic infestation;
- Emotional imbalance: co-dependency, learned or reactive;
- Biochemical imbalance: heavy metals toxicity or minerals deficiency;
- Spiritual denial: separation from or fear of one's Higher Self;
- Lack of coping skills for loss of health, job, home, spouse, friend ...;
- Weakness of/overwork of thyroid, colon, heart, lungs, pituitary, ...;
- Poorly developed interaction & communication skills.

Few of the above noted sources were commonly recognized in 1997.
You cannot constructively influence what you do not understand.

Most doctors and therapists only recognize and treat 1 or 2 of the above elements.

Any individual may be susceptible to one, some, or all of the sources noted.

Chronic depression often indicates chronic life failure decisions.

Helping oneself and others demands knowledge of ALL sources.
