Brief:
"Impotency" is a term used to express the state of either not being able to get an erection (male) or become sexually aroused (female), OR/AND, not being able to ejaculate (male) when aroused. It should not be confused with the following terms.
"Infertility" is a term that describes an inadequate result (pregnancy) from an expected activity (sexual union). There are many possible reasons for this reality. Some are normal, others are accidents or injuries, and still others are dynamic.
"Libido" is a term for the frequency of sexual desire within an individual. These two terms are not synonymous, though ignorance can bring them into association.
Self-awareness is often a key to understanding impotent sexual expression.
