What are Preventive Sessions?
When we are exposed to experiences which are traumatic for us we have the option to cope with the situation constructively and diminish the urgency, threat, or confusion, or, our brain, in an effort to protect us, will build an energy block. That reactive pattern will be composed of defensive behaviors and attitudes intended to extract us from the present situation and automate our behaviors and attitudes in the future to have us avoid similar situations.
Many of these reactive patterns prove to be irrelevant in the future and result in our making mistakes and failing repeatedly in circumstances and interactions in which there are more positive alternatives ... one's which we should be able to learn, but find it impossible to change our responses and improve our performances and lives.
Preventive Sessions are Spiritually Guided Balancing Sessions which determine the nature of the energy blocks being built, the nature of the trauma, a personalized set of coping instructions or suggestions, and, what Bach Remedies and actions are required in order to stop and undo the present block formation process.
The therapist and the client are advising the brain (Reptilian Structure) of the client that a solution has been found to the current threat and that the emergency procedure of building an energy block can now be dispensed with. There is no longer any need to armor-plate our compact car. We have pulled off the highway to repair our wobbling wheel. When we are finished, we will get back on the highway with everything intact and proceed with safety.

When do you need a Preventive Session?
If Spiritual Guidance or muscle testing indicates that you require a session, only then do you need one. Until you are cleared of Energy Blocks and have developed self-awareness, it is difficult to determine what is merely stressful and what is your body interpreting as "traumatic". Remember, "traumatic" may include environmental elements of which you are consciously unaware. Also, very emotionally or intellectually upsetting situations may not be traumatic, just dramatic. Here are a few Guidelines for you to consider:
- A sudden change in body temperature;
- A feeling of great confusion;
- An unusual sense of panic;
- Intense emotions that seem out-of-place;
- A sudden inability to concentrate;
- A need to talk or to be by oneself.

Why do you need a Preventive Session?
We are exposed to unusual experiences sometimes for which we have little preparation. We need to find some way of understanding and constructively responding to them. We are fortunate if we have the self-awareness and the resources available for us to analyze what is happening, consult references which have appropriate solutions, and have the choice to follow those options. Often, time does not permit this strategy.
Other possible coping tactics can include contacting others who may be more experienced or knowledgeable, or, having others nearby who choose to encourage us and partner with us long enough for us to find a workable solution and put it into effect. Too often, this also is not available when we need it.
Our brain needs an answer when an urgency presents.
If it does not have a ready solution from previous training and experience, it allows our conscious mind the opportunity to find and implement one. How much time it allows depends upon the perceived urgency. If the time runs out before the conscious mind finds an acceptable option, the habit structure of our brain intends to force a pattern of defensive behaviors and attitudes in order to relieve the drain of energy constantly being expended in confusion, anxiety, fear.
As an example, you are driving down the highway when suddenly your car begins to vibrate severely. You can't think of what to do and are not making a decision. If your car grinds to a stop or you lose control, you may be crashed into or you may crash into someone else. You may die and/or others may be killed. Your Reptilian mind habit structure decides that a decision cannot wait any longer. Through its fantastic strength, it armor plates your car in a flash. Now it doesn't matter who hits whom, you will not be hurt.
Eventually, the vibration will stop, or, you will leave the road and go to a service station, or, your car will break down completely and stop. The future will determine the outcome. The present has been passed. The greatest difficulty is that the next time something similar happens, you will not even try to find a solution. You will now react by simply continuing, as before, because you now have an armor plated car. Not very constructive, but effective in reducing the stress of the moment.
A Preventative Session is like taking a short detour in the present.
You have a problem and you need a solution. Your passenger suggests that you pull off the road onto the side and stop for a moment. You follow the advice. There, your passenger gets out of the car and inspects it to determine the problem. After checking a few things, your friend describes to you what is wrong and what an efficient and constructive solution would be.
You choose to agree with your friend and follow the advice. Together the problem is repaired. You get back into your car and set off once again without mishap. A preventative session determines the details of the Energy Blocks in the process of being built and provides a solution so the block-building process can be stopped and withdrawn. The Present is returned to health and the Future is entered without a new automated defence pattern.

What happens if you miss a Preventive Session?
If one or a layer of Energy Blocks is not prevented from forming, then you gain them. They cannot then be accessed and dissolved away until they present in a normal process of releasing Energy Block layers. That means that the new reflex behavior will now control you like a robot in any similar situations for perhaps months or years ... until, and unless you can access and release them.
The time taken to build new Energy Blocks and layers can range from a few minutes to days to even months. An average length of time is about 2 hours. Spiritual Guidance can indicate how much time you have and what can be done. If you cannot find someone who can do the Balancing within that period of time, your new blocks are built. You then have a new addictive behavior. That is, it is an attitude and behavior pattern which will automatically follow through in specific circumstances. Your actions will be complete before you know what happened. Then, like a true addict, you will rationalize as to why you did what was done, or, you will become depressed and discouraged because you seem to choose failure, or, you blame someone else or the world for making a mess of your life.
The next time you have the indicators noted above, use Spiritual Guidance to determine if you are building new blocks. If you are, arrange to go through a Preventative Session to disburse those blocks and determine what coping skills would best prepare you for now and future experiences which are similar.

How do you prevent Preventive Sessions?
One must be careful not to be exposed to too much negative energy at a time. If one fails to keep oneself balanced, spiritual skills will weaken and one will increasingly become drained of physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual energies. Frequent contact with Spiritual Guidance, a developed spiritual awareness and attitude, and, self monitoring assists in achieving this goal of strength together with a choice of social, physical and spiritual environments. If you place yourself in toxic environments, you will endanger your health. If you insist on exposing yourself to challenges for which you could develop coping skills, but choose not to, you choose to experience trauma, and build new blocks.
For those not yet so well prepared, many of the positive stressors noted on this website could be taken into account and developed within oneself, awareness, then action. The best defence is Guided preparation. What is best to concentrate on first will be particular to your Basic Personality, your resources, and your present level of health.
