Yes, this section IS long!
You will find that TIMING is often the critical factor between your survival and your Recovery, and, your misery and death. The awareness you have of the value of and options available within timing will be revealed by your actions of ignorance, or, wisdom. It is now YOUR Choice.

 

1. Spiritual Guidance

Accurate Spiritual Guidance will enable
the best of decisions.

It don't come easy! And, one may find it necessary to build over years.
When I started, I didn't have ANY of the info on Earthtym.net.
I also had over 145 energy blocks and a host of hidden blocks.
I had 35 hypersensitivities and 4 of those were life threatening.
I was told by "experts" that recovery was impossible; prepare to die.
That was 1988. I innovated and discovered Spiritual Guidance.
With THAT help, I released ALL of my energy blocks.
I also got rid of ALL of my hypersensitivities.
I went on to assist hundreds of others.

YOU can learn to get Spiritual Guidance, and, get it accurately.
FEW people make the effort. Perhaps it is simply easier to come to me.
Often, it is because they don't know about it, or, lack the motivation.
Or, they don't want to read the info I have on Earthtym.net and practice.
If you work at perfecting it, like any other talent or skill, you will SAVE an abundance of time, effort, money, and, AVOID a huge amount of disappointment, regret, guilt, conflict, anger, anxiety, and missed appointments. IF you think you are getting It and it is easy for you, you are wide open for a lot of errors and misdirections.
It takes Time and effort to SAVE Time and effort.

It can be easy to receive fast bursts of Intuition (accuracy: 20% to 80%) and to have a quickness of rational thought (accuracy: 50%). It is even usual for some people to receive bursts of Spiritual Guidance (accuracy 100%). Seldom is one so alert and focused and free of distractions as to undeniably receive Spiritual Guidance accurately without double-checking. I've been using and perfecting my own skill for 20 years and ASKING hundreds and thousands of Questions daily. I double check what I receive just to keep my Identity Factors from interfering. The more you let them, the better they will become at interfering .. and the more deceived you will be by them.

Timing is critical if you want
an ACCURATE Spiritually Guided answer.

ALL humans have been gifted with CHOICE, whether and how often they use it.
That means that potentially 6 billion persons can change their minds every half-second! That and other factors potential influence the Guided answer for YOU. Accuracy means rechecking whenever the Answer can greatly be influenced ... Timing. Here are some standard reasons why:

  • you are distracted by intense emotions & the Guidance is disrupted;
  • you forgot about an integral factor: adjust, reschedule, cancel, ..;
  • a commitment is delayed by the forgetfulness of someone: forgive;
  • an appointment is delayed by schedule changes: reschedule;
  • Your Identity Factors (one or more) are immature;
  • you are in public and don't have a tactful way of rechecking;
  • someone, is incompetent, lazy, proud, energy blocked;
  • accident/delay along your expected route: change the route?

Spiritual Guidance can be the only certainty you can Trust in your life and on your way to Recovery, yet, only if you take the time and energy to learn it, perfect it, and safeguard it.





2. Muscle Testing

Always be sure to muscle test or use Spiritual Guidance to determine if it is applicable to you, or for someone else from whom you have the permission to ask for, at the time of your interest.

Note that muscle testing can be subverted by strong and immature identity factors (Ego or SuperEgo, or, both). Note that some options are best for us at some times or in a sequence with other skills, attitudes, therapies or products, rather than at all times. Some, are simply beneficial for gaining and maintaining optimal health.

It is there for a reason. It is too easy, once again, to be deceived by your own pride and weakness, or, by that of others whom you have chosen to trust.

3. Medical Doctors, MD's

Doctors in North America work under many restrictions.
These limitations enable the medical system to operate more like an industry than like a service. Are we encouraging good health, or, providing a level of service controlled by authorities. Doctors choose to work in the field out of sincerity, idealism, parental expectation, or a need for one or more of power, fame, excitement, or acceptance. Doctors do their best work, not on the TV, but in their clinics when patients present simple direct health issues, easy to diagnose, and capable of remedy by pharmaceuticals, surgery, radiation, or, placebo.

TH1 Cytokine Symptoms are expressed by most people with CFS-ME as well as many other chronic illnesses. They make YOU "difficult" to communicate with. Add an atmosphere of rush (10 minute interview), an attitude of denial (the old cast-off medical belief that CFS-ME is hypochondria or hysteria), a likely sense of urgency by the patient (how relaxed would you be with the Symptoms), and an order-taker sense of dismissal asking you which ONE symptom you would like treated, ... and you can likely remember the usual conflict generated responses.

A few Guidelines to prepare the CFS-ME patient to see their doctor can be a huge help. If possible, obtain the DVD, "Recovering from Chronic Disease." Find and review several times the presentation by Dr. Greg Blaney, which focuses on this topic. I will add my own findings for a beginners list as follows:

     
  1. Be Patient, Considerate, and Sympathetic to the receptionist and other support staff. They can make your visit better or worse if you show them the kindness and respect that ANY person deserves. Try and find/notice something you like about the person and compliment them on it. It could be their voice, the color or style of their hair or a piece of their clothing ("it looks good on you, NOT "it makes you look good"!) ... something you can be positive about and honest. If everyone could take a moment to do the same to those around them, the world would be a happier place ... and you would get better attention.

    Put yourself in THEIR shoes.
    They are often rushed, and may be working with a doctor or doctors who have poor organization skills, and, a sloppy and nearly incoherent dictation voice or writing. Patients they see will typically be preoccupied, irritable, have poor hearing, and express urgency, whether relevant or not. When the support staff inform the walk-ins of office rules they must abide by, yet have no authority in the making or changing of those rules, the prospective patient too often becomes abusive. Whether the patient drove for 4 hours to have a test which is cancelled now because an emergency came in earlier, or, the doctor is running 2 hours late with appointments, for whatever reason, it is NOT the responsibility of the support staff nor their creation. Take a time out!

  2. Make the job of the doctor as EASY as you can by paying attention to HOW they work. Different doctors have different idiosyncrasies. You don't often have a choice of doctors, unless you are prepared to pay private fees. Most doctors do not want to read Reports, go to websites, see research. They don't get paid for it and if they find something beyond the status quo authority they must abide by, they can't use it anyway. That pushes them to feel guilty. The type of change you may be pushing on them may mean their leaving the career, or, jeopardizing it. It may mean putting their family and personal life last. Would you, after 10 years of sacrifice? Be honest!

    Don't PUSH.
    If you want a prescription for a drug to be used in a non-conventional way, ask the pharmacist which (by YOUR paying attention) the doctor respects, for a copy of the monograph. Take along a copy of the Protocol requiring it. LISTEN to the concerns of the doctor. Be prepared to go at THEIR pace, at least in the beginning. It may take several visits for them to get going with it. They may wish to try something else first to confirm that it won't be a danger for YOUR system. They may want to try a smaller dose initially, even though you KNOW such will do nothing. Yes, it is YOUR life. If you can't be patient, go to another doctor.

  3. Do your own Research, or, use the best compiled set of Resources you can find, such as this one. IF you really have CFS-ME, you will have more time than the doctor to ferret it out and make sense of it, even if only at a rate of 10 minutes at a time. Make a note of the names of relevant doctors and protocols, relevant tests, and don't expect to remember anything when you get to their office. Don't hold them responsible for YOUR health. The Reality is that only YOU are responsible and will take the time and make the effort to get to Recovery. They can ASSIST you. They won't MAKE you recover.

  4. Make a detailed and extensive symptom listing
    for YOURSELF.

    Then, plan to cover that list in the next TEN visits. Present and request 1 or 2 items per visit. If the doctor is acknowledging and accepting, perhaps present 2 or 3 in the next visit. Expect more and you will likely be making yourself prone to outbursts of anxiety, frustration, and anger ... when you find ALL of your submissions are denied, and nothing more than a general set of tests are offered. If you make a habit of being abusive and impatient, don't be surprised if the word gets around and those who COULD help you just don't have the time, or, are no longer taking new patients.

  5. Prepare a list of specific TESTS that you would like the doctor to prescribe, if he has the authority under your system of health care, health insurance, or private financial obligation. Ask for no more than 2 tests at one time. Overloading the system or the doctor is likely to produce refusal. Many doctor's offices and clinics are now posting a notice encouraging patients to provide a list of symptoms and concerns to the doctor. As per above, plan to cover these in TEN visits, unless, you are paying privately and going to a specialist, such as a naturopath, or an opted out MD.

  6. Use TACTFUL communication when describing your symptoms, your suspicions, the research you have collected, previous doctors, and, the system of regulations which sanction their employment in your country and your province or state. Doctors have studied and been interns for possibly 7 to 10 years of sacrifice before you met them. They deserve your Respect for making the effort. YOUR politicians created the regulations, or, sanctioned the rules set down by the Medical Associations in your jurisdiction. Exercise your vote, your pen, and your voice towards those who are responsible if you have any criticism. Find out and know HOW the system works. Don't ask the doctor to risk his employment and career. They have been imprinted to receive respect and authority.

    YOU telling Them what to do, is a loss.
    Sometimes, it is a loss you can't recover from.
    You either help the doctor grow to become someone who can assist you, or, you keep opening doors and asking others to slam them on you. Try a better way. Be assertive: direct about your stats and symptoms; polite about treatment received by you from others; calm about tests you would like taken; listening as to what the doctor believes is best; repetitive (next visit) about requests not undertaken; supportive with summaries and copies of research, protocols, drug monographs (with pleasure if only ONE is kept).

  7. ALWAYS request a copy of any test results or specialist reports which have been completed and added to your office file. You can request it from the receptionist. Often, the office staff will require the authorization of the doctor to provide it to you. Whenever possible, do not leave the office without it. Question the false restrictions sometimes believed. WHY should YOUR test results be held secret from you? The only person or company who would want PROTECTION from you would be an incompetent one. Are they suggesting that they don't trust their own judgement or that of the lab? Or, is the government suggesting that the regulations they place on the doctors, they KNOW are irrelevant? YOU are the taxpayer. YOU are paying for the tests. YOU are OWED a copy of what you have paid for.

  8. Ask for a Referral to a Specialist if your MD does not know how to diagnose you, or seems confused by your expressed concerns. I went to 5 doctors before being sent to a distant specialist. It took me 2 years to get a diagnosis of CFS-ME. My wife went to 6 doctors in 3 years to get the same form of referral and diagnosis. The only reason we had access to as many doctors is because we moved to different administration areas by living in temporary rentals. My wife was sent to 4 local specialists who affirmed that she was healthy, regardless of symptoms, possibly because she was able, with great preparation, to make it into their office. NONE of them considered multiple symptoms. They were competent on diagnosing acute single symptom ailments. This was BEYOND their defined scope of practice and training.

    We were responsibly assertive!
    We had been patient. We had specified our concerns. We made no threats. We were prepared to do exactly what we stated. We already had the name of another doctor to approach. In both of our cases, only our second last doctor was willing to send us to the super-specialist (400 miles distant & the acclaimed provincial expert). He did so because we told him we were going to find another doctor who would if he didn't. Don't expect this tactic to work for you! We got a diagnosis, yet no treatment answers. As it was, we had to move again, managed to get to see a doctor in the new locale after another YEAR, and were able to benefit from these Guidelines there. With the additional delays and time, I was also able to do review more research, more research was published, facilitators became experienced and available who could help, helpful supplements and herbal options came into being.

  9. People change, they move, they retire, they die.
    Timing means knowing when to stay, move on, encourage change.
    We advanced towards our point of Recovery faster when we found doctors, dentists, facilitators, trainers, and therapists who would work WITH us. We were sometimes Spiritually Guided to persons who had the access and skill to assist us, yet, ultimately, CHOSE to stay in their cocoon and be safe, lazy, and inflexible.

    Enthusiastic and adventuresome, some, became appreciative of someone they could learn more about their discipline WITH. They were the self-confident persons who were passionate about their ability to assist others. They KNEW that we provided them with an option to improve and extend their skills. We maintained contact with and worked with them. Over time the combination grew their skills to be better than their competitors who were practicing much longer. Yet others worked with us for a time until they reached a dead end with the skills and awareness they had and had no humility to advance further. Then there were others whose skills were required in periodic ways, interspersed with other therapies or protocols, because that was what worked most effectively for us.

    Never avoid something because you did it and it had limits.
    "Been there, done that," simply means you have given up on real possibilities because YOU had the timing wrong! Grow up. An option is an option whenever it is RELEVANT. Just because it wasn't once, doesn't mean it never will be. Just because it WAS for a time, doesn't mean it can't be again, and again, just not continuously. If you have changed YOUR limits, it may again be a FURTHER benefit for another interim. In a few situations, a particular clinic may be your only economic option. You may have established that those practicing are of no benefit. Eventually, a new person may arrive who has the skills you can benefit from. Either the practice is expanding, someone has moved away, retired, or died. It happens.






4. Holistic Practitioners

Holistic Practitioners endeavor to use the best resources and practices of both standard medical and alternative health care communities. Each have their own focal point or areas of special interest, confidence, and application. These may narrow, expand, or remain the same over time. They may be shunned by BOTH the medical and alternative fellowships, or, honored and respected by selective practitioners from both. For medical requirements, they will usually have chosen to opt out of the Provincial or State health systems and their fees will not receive any subsidy/support by the state. You will be paying them a private fee, fully disclosed, and seeming to be high. What is NOT disclosed to you, is how much the state is spending on YOUR behalf when you go to your MD, an amount which is ultimately shared amongst all taxpayers, including yourself.

A List of Guidelines for optimum service and success from these facilitators will include ALL of those mentioned above for Medical Doctors, MD's. In addition, consider these:

  • In a Private Pay relationship, understand that whatever tests you request, you pay the full price of. That also means that you may be able to skip the delays involved with running simpler tests run by an MD, which are irrelevant. It also means, that unless you, or your Holistic partner, are good at diagnosing, using muscle testing, or using Spiritual Guidance .. you may elect to run many costly tests which confirm little beyond what you do NOT have and do NOT have to treat. It is your money and your bill. Listen to their feedback. Reflect. Consider other options. Proceed with what you are comfortable with.

  • A New Patient Questionnaire Kit with multiple forms is commonly provided to you to be completed BEFORE you see the Practitioner. The extent of this can range from several pages to several dozen pages. It is often helpful if you acquire copies of recent medical (blood, urine, stool) test results from your MD and copies of any recent X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, MRI's, or specialist reports completed for you within the government health care system. Some of these can be borrowed from hospitals or labs. You can have copies made of them, and return them to the provider.

  • Your First Visit will likely be a lengthy interview in which your Questionnaire is reviewed, additional notes are recorded about your history and symptoms, any previous test results are noted, and a First Glance Assessment is, or may be, offered by the practitioner. They will/may also provide you with an overview of a Protocol they prefer to follow and the Basic Tests they expect you to undergo and pay for. First Visit charges should be suggested before you arrive and often range between $60 and $350 with the emphasis on the higher. This is often for an appointment time not expected to exceed 60 to 90 minutes. You may be able to request a longer time for additional payment.

  • How structured and dynamic your Holistic Practitioner is can usually be determined in the first visit. This means: "Will they work WITH you, or ON you?" If they will work WITH you, they will be flexible in listening to YOUR requests of what they do that they can do. You may be familiar enough with their practice, and confident enough from your own awareness, to request that they use certain of their offered therapies first, before their in-house protocol, and run a specific series of tests from specific labs that you have confidence in.

    IF you have done your research, you may not want to spend $3000 on 8 tests that you are sceptical of until you have received the results of 5 tests costing $1500. Some of what you have selected will usually include some of what they prefer. IF, they will NOT proceed unless you run THEIR tests in THEIR labs, YOU are best to carefully consider if THEY are WHO you want to work with. Can you afford the resources to go a few more steps before deciding to STAY or GO? Sometimes, it is better to pay $270, and leave, rather than $3000 and leave.

  • What are the Real Boundaries
    of your Holistic Practitioner?

    Not as easy a question to answer as you may think.
    I went to a Holistic Practitioner who diagnosed in 30 minutes that I had mercury poisoning from dental mercury amalgams, from my symptoms and energetic testing. He wrote a Prescription for a dentist to remove my mercury fixtures and replace them with plastic or other materials. I went to a local, and the major, Province of Ontario dental college, at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada, .. free clinic. The university professor supervising the attending student was very aggressive and confident in his assessment:

    • This Professor/Dentist had been teaching student dentists for 15 years and believed he knew his stuff.

    • Medical Doctors (MD's) have no LEGAL jurisdiction for diagnosing, treating, or prescribing anything in the Oral cavity ... at least within any Province in Canada. The prescription my Holistic doctor had written could have resulted in his being legally charged and he might have lost his MD license, if, I had pushed his authority in front of this dentist.

    • The professor expert said that he had NEVER heard of anyone getting mercury poisoning from dental amalgams and there was no research to support such. Dental mercury amalgams were entirely safe! There was a medical-dental university research library upstairs and he invited me to go and see for myself that there was no research supporting such absurd declarations. I DID, after this appointment, and found otherwise.

    • IF I had mercury poisoning, he reasoned, it could only be from my eating too much canned tuna. That was his asserted conclusion. Yet the tuna I was eating was from young tuna (low biological burden), caught in Pacific waters off Canada (low toxicity source), and many other people were eating as large a quantity without ANY of the symptoms I was having.

    • I didn't have any of my amalgams removed by an institution which TEACHES the newest, best, and brightest new dentists ... that what the rest of the world recognizes as a legally restricted toxic dental fixture .. is perfectly acceptable and deemed safe in North America!

    Just because your Holistic Practitioner advises you of something, and is correct, and it must be administered by other state and association sanctioned health care practitioners, does not mean you will easily get someone to act on such an option (although, in 2009, it is much more likely that you CAN find someone to listen).


Holistic Practitioners can offer you more options than an MD. They can view you from a broader perspective and awareness and with personally proven diagnostic skills. The caution is still YOUR responsibility. While most MD's can be depended upon to respond in fairly uniform manner, due to their legal and institutional restrictions, Holistic MD's can have quite different individualized strengths, weaknesses, and perspectives. It is easy to find an average MD. It is difficult to find an average Holistic MD. Often, they are either Relevant for you, or, Irrelevant.





5. Alternative Facilitators

Alternative Facilitators endeavor to use the best resources and practices of non-medical health care communities. Their focal point or areas of special interest, confidence, and application are to reject the use of pharmaceuticals, surgery, antibiotics and genetically altered lifeforms, and, radiation burning -- in favor of herbs, homeopathics, energetics, physical manipulation, detoxification. They are shunned by the medical fellowship, and, seldom honored and respected by selective MD's. You will be paying them a private fee, fully disclosed, and seeming to be high. What is NOT disclosed to you, is how much the state is spending on YOUR behalf when you go to your MD, an amount which is ultimately shared amongst all taxpayers, including yourself.

A List of Guidelines for optimum service and success from these facilitators will include many of those mentioned above for Medical Doctors, MD's. In addition, consider these:

  • In this Private Pay relationship, understand that whatever tests you request, only non-medical ones may be available. This may mandate your returning to an MD for some tests. Alternative health provider diagnostic methods are often considerably MORE accurate than medical tests, or, LESS accurate. The degree of success they have with their clients is often a valid indicator, though not often available due to confidentiality principles. It also means, that unless you, or your Alternative partner, are good at diagnosing, using muscle testing, or using Spiritual Guidance .. you may elect to have many costly therapy sessions which result in limited health enhancement, or, prove difficult to evaluate. It is your money and your bill. Listen to their feedback. Reflect. Consider other options. Proceed with what you are comfortable with.

First Visit charges should be suggested before you arrive and often range between $60 and $150. This is often for an appointment time not expected to exceed 45 to 90 minutes. You may be able to request a longer time for additional payment.

  • How structured and dynamic your Alternative Facilitator is can usually be determined in the first visit. This means: "Will they work WITH you, or ON you?" If they will work WITH you, they will be flexible in listening to YOUR requests of what they do that they can do. You may be familiar enough with their modality, and confident enough from your own awareness, to request that they use certain parts or regimes of their offered therapy first, before their in-house routine.

    IF you have done your research, you will not want to spend $1500 on 8 therapy sessions that you are sceptical of until you have evaluated the results of 3 sessions costing $500. YOU are best to carefully consider if THEY are WHO you want to work with. Can you afford the resources to go a few more steps before deciding to STAY or GO? Sometimes, it is better to pay $70, and leave, rather than $1500 and leave.

  • What are the Real Boundaries

Alternative Facilitators can offer you more options than an MD. They can view you from a broader perspective and awareness and with personally proven diagnostic skills. While most MD's can be depended upon to respond in fairly uniform manner, due to their legal and institutional restrictions, Alternative Facilitators can have quite different individualized strengths, weaknesses, and perspectives. It is easy to find an average MD. It is as easy as difficult to find an average Alternative Facilitator. Often, they are either Relevant for you, or, Irrelevant.





6. Supplements: All-in-One

Nothing remains the same.
You are not always the same age. You do not always have the same organ and muscle strengths from year to year. You tend to have experienced more viral, bacterial, fungal, and other parasitic encounters as you grow older. You tend to acquire more energy blocks and build your total as you experience more traumatic events and exposures. Any imprinted behaviors you have are likely to become stronger and more automatic, the more often you rely on them. The environment you live in will impact you differently from one home and workplace to another. Even in the same locations, over durations, there will be a change in the number and intensity of pollution sources. Even the quality of your food supply will change, better, worse, or better for some and worse for others. EACH of these variations will impact the stress load on your body. As your stress loads change, even by the hour, the optimum nutritional supplementation for YOU, will change.

One for all!
This is the promise of All-in-One, or One-a-Day supplements.
Is it realistic to expect that your life is at a standstill?
Or, that the rest of the world is? What is true this year may not be next year. These supplements are made from resources available in specific political and industrial environments. In 2009, it is well known that some produce from Mexico has high levels of heavy metal toxins and toxic chemicals from high use levels of chemical fertilizers and mercury based pesticides and fungicides. Proportions of some supplements
can be antagonistic to others.

It is alarmingly regular that equal amounts of all B vitamins are added to some supplement combinations. It is also well known that if such supplements are not combined in specific variations, they defeat one another. Too much zinc can produce symptoms of too little. The same is true of vitamin C. Why? Because if you take too much, your body signals "Overload" and dumps all of what you have taken, PLUS, your reserve! Some supplements are best taken WITH food. Others are best taken AWAY FROM food. Why? Because if taken WITH food, there may be a better digestive dynamic for their assimilation. And, if taken AWAY FROM food, they may not be neutralized or minimized by the presence of the food nutrients or pH. What is in your All-in-One?

Profit and competition, unfortunately, often twist the principles of competitors and shareholders to allow for the substitution of cheaper and inferior ingredients. It happens in health food stores constantly. An passionate and health oriented innovator creates a new product. Its brand name becomes popular through customer acceptance, the articles of respected and enthusiastic health care workers, and, attractive marketing and efficient distribution. After a number of years of 60 to 80 hour weeks and a stringent lifestyle, the originator agrees to sell the business. The new company keeps the brand name and marketing and administrative formalities. Yet, the new owners decide to make the product "better" and more profitable, by, changing the recipe. Toxic oils and compounds are substituted for the originals to save costs.





7. Supplements: Herbs

Herbs are our term for powerful vegetation.
These are plants which we have found to have medicinal and/or health enhancing influences. In some uses of the term, it also refers to plants which have powerful destructive influences, capable of bringing poisoning, and death. Every culture has plants which they use frequently, in small amounts, with their food or drink. These are called, Spices. The manner in which herbs are grown, harvested, preserved and used each determines the strength of the supplement as well as whether it has been contaminated and actually made harmful. In addition, there are some herb names which apply to a whole family of herbs, each with different properties, not only to one.
Quality is important.

Herbs can provide great benefits.
They can gradually strengthen our lifesystem through an encouraging and boosting process which proves long term influence. An ingredient which is too powerful, such as many pharmaceuticals, may have a dramatic immediate effect, yet may leave our lifesystem weaker and more prone to a redevelopment of the symptoms we were seeking to banish. Too strong -- may turn OFF, or die off, some of our immune processes and disrupt some neurotransmitters and endocrine functions. In too frequent instances, they may encourage our Reptilian Structure to set new thresholds for these substances, typically LOWER thresholds. Herbs are much safer in that such physical harmony devastation rarely happens from their use. Considerable ignorance, pride, and excess is usually required to turn a beneficial herb into a hazard.
Quantity is important.

Obtaining a balanced quantity for one's health is a challenge.
That is, the hourly requirements of your body for nutrients is constantly changing. They also change faster when we are physically or mentally active than when we are at rest or in a routine. We can best determine what these levels are by being aware of a wide range of herbs and having a quality supply of those which are best indicated for us as a home resource. Next, we are best served by developing skills to accurately determine which, and what quantity is best for us at any time. Spiritual Guidance is the best source of this intelligence. Proficient muscle testing is a second means to testing. If you are unable or unwilling to develop either of these skills, herbalists, naturopaths, and homeopaths receive training to assist in this discernment.
Selection is important.

Mixing herbs together is similar to any other mixture.
The SUM of the ingredients may be more powerful than each of the components taken separately, may be diminished in effectiveness, may become destructive in influence, may become impotent in effect, or, may produce erratic, confusing, and unstable results. This also includes non-herbal influences that can impact the whole. Energy, time, participation, joy, reverence, ... are all being wasted and/or lost.

Acting Out:
You just MUST get something happening!
You WANT something. You DEMAND it.
You are Demanding, and THEY are not moving!
Participation is lowered a notch to anger and threats.
Either others are Rejecting YOU, or, you Reject THEM.
Soon, you are a person who needs Help, but, you're not getting any!

Panic:
Wants turn into NEEDS.
It may not be a widely held perception.
Heightened hormone levels can change perceptions.
Too much libido and you become a lust driven tyrant.
Your regular limits of discernment disappear.
Even ugly strangers begin to morph into stunning beauties.
You are at once both in awe, and, on the verge of attack.
Or, it may be the opposite response ....


Fire Control:
Very Bad Scene!
This is when IT looks at your (specific hormone) gauge and reacts AS IF the gauge is reading in the Red danger zone, and, continuing to free fall. Time to shut this circuit down. That means that your Reptilian Structure starts changing threshold assimilation and retention limits. It may mean that you become infertile and remain so for months, even years! It could mean that you have difficulties getting a solid sleep, or, enough sleep. You may begin to lose your ability to think and communicate. Calcium and Magnesium regulate the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) which controls our "fight or flight" reaction.

SNS is stimulated by calcium, and inhibited by magnesium.
Imbalance causes SNS dominance, an uptight nervous, jittery person.
Magnesium will calm you down and bring back your sunny personality.
For many reasons, persons with CFS-ME often require LESS calcium and MORE Magnesium.

Potassium and Sodium regulate the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS), which controls our "rest & digest" reaction.

PSNS is stimulated by potassium, and inhibited by sodium.
Imbalance causes PSNS dominance (quite rare) a lethargic, tired, slow moving person.

A great amount of energy may be expressed through anxiety, distraction, denial, ... as if, you are expecting that your intestines are going to digest the milk, ON, while you are actively killing off the healthy bacteria you require to digest it. The result is autotoxicity, indigestion, and poor assimilation. Energy, time, participation, joy, reverence, ... are all being wasted and/or lost.
Time to listen to your body.

Powerful spice levels can change reactions.
Too much of anything and you can become hypersensitive.
Formerly acceptable levels can change into dangerous ones.
The favorite you loved now becomes the terror you fear.
You are at once both in awe, and, on the verge of repulsion.
Or, it may be the opposite response ....


Fire Control:
Very Bad Scene!
This is when IT looks at your (spice) gauge and reacts AS IF the gauge is reading in the Red danger zone, and, continuing to free fall. Time to shut this circuit down. That means that your Reptilian Structure starts changing threshold assimilation and retention limits. It may mean that it simply refuses the previously acceptable spice. You would not listen. Now, your Reptilian Structure has your CONSCIOUS attention. You were already having symptoms of illness. This may not have been the best Time to recklessly add Spices to the mix. All that was necessary was to ASK your Reptilian Structure or Spiritual Guidance.
There will be another Time.

Heightened vitamin requirements can change perceptions.
Illnesses and heavy metal toxicities can soak up vitamins.
Recommended daily amounts for healthy persons don't apply.
Yet this is all that your medical experts will entertain.
In fact, many continue to assert that foods supply enough.
Your body is starving, and you are making excuses!


Fire Control:
Very Bad Scene!
This is when IT looks at your (specific vitamin) gauge and reacts AS IF the gauge is reading in the Red danger zone, and, continuing to rise, or, fall. Time to shut this circuit down. That means that your Reptilian Structure starts changing threshold assimilation and retention limits. It may mean that it simply dumps all of your current load of Vitamin C, and, your RESERVES. It is possible that you could end up with diarrhea, scurvy, and die, from taking too much Vitamin C! Or, you could end up with nerve damage from taking too much vitamin B6! If you are not taking the botanically appropriate ratios of B vitamins, your Reptilian Structure can get lost in the anarchy and just start dumping all of some of them. If you don't know what YOUR optimal daily changing intake level is, you could be better off not taking it.

12. Housing: attached/row and apartments.

When you build your housing and when you move away from rental housing, there are usually some key influences. These can ALL influence how ill you become and how quickly, or if, you Recover. If your health, relationships, income, freedom, and participation are important to your quality of life, you could benefit from a greater awareness of the following.


Security: Keeping out pests.

Pests can take many forms and each can encourage you to become weaker and sicker. Part of the equation is that we can attract, invite, and sustain pests in our environment. The FORM is unimportant. There are bacteria, fungi, virus, insects, animals and people who can bring positive influences to our health. This is the cultural downfall of our attachment to FORM. We are conditioned early to EXPECT and Assume that Form is a good indicator of worth. This is not only inaccurate. It is deceptive and we sometimes enable such perceptions to manipulate us. We are seldom manipulated by THEM. We are the ones who ENABLE ourselves into being manipulated. Often, this is OUR shortcut to discernment because we are too lazy or rush ourselves too much, to take the time and spend the energy to evaluate what we are committing to. What and Who are we committing our Time to?

We commit to whatever we participate in by routine.
If we allow our surroundings to become dirty, we are committing to NOT cleaning. If we keep our music loud constantly, we are committing to Denial, and often to addictions to ward off chronic depressiveness. When we suggest that our life is controlled by fate, imprinting, energy blocks, politics, employers, or, OTHERS, we adopt a Victim persona. When we make persistent efforts towards Recovery, we present and project ourselves as Survivors. Pests, of all forms, choose Victims, by preference, rather than Survivors. Why battle with someone who cares when you have others who just invite you to take from them?
Time to become a Survivor.

Survivors set limits to keep Pests out.
They clean up their food crumbs, wash the preparation countertops, launder their clothing and linen, sweep away the dirt, and keep their doors and windows closed against the entry of dust on windy days and water on rainy days. If you don't want dust mites, harmful bacteria and fungi, food poisoning, flu viruses, and other health weakening pests (including depressive humans), you are advised to screen your windows and phone calls, patch the holes in your walls, floors, and computer communications, and, wash away the accumulated dirt and destructive attitudes. Survivors do not have Time to waste.


Stability: Staying predictable.

A living space that changes constantly requires constant adjustment to live in. The alarm malfunctions and goes off at a different time each morning, or, not at all. The range elements only work on several of their many settings, and not the same one's when we use them. We go to get a food from the cupboard and find that it has been used up and not replaced or its absence mentioned. We come home to rest and find a noisy party in progress. Either we prepare food for ourselves and others only to find no one arrive, or, we arrive home fatigued to find no food prepared. With CFS-ME, one requires a predictable living space. Time is not available for needless changes.

Searching for and filling one's basic and immediate needs for oneself is a huge energy absorber for those with CFS-ME. What is routinely completed or adjusted to with full alertness becomes a mountain climbing challenge for someone with brain fog and fatigue. When others fail to understand this and one must attempt to explain it, yet again, to them, more energy loss flows into the fatigue well. Going without will encourage physical depression .. which will enable mental depression. Finding a balance is critical, and, difficult. Sometimes it is better to be more of the time by oneself and avoid the energy demands of miscommunication frustrations. Often, it is a matter of survival to have others who can assist with cleaning, food preparation, and trips to the market. Better time together may mean more time alone.

Setting organizational rules and asking others to abide by them in YOUR space is often a difficult action in a modern society of many options, immature and uninformed people, and shared spaces. It is the little irregularities which can become huge frustrations for the person with CFS-ME. At the same time, SOME changes and frustrations can be constructive in keeping one's brain active and growing, rather than shrinking in size and ability. I frequently worked at researching, software coding, and getting accurate Spiritual Guidance during my CFS-ME and Recovery. These were often huge challenges for someone with constant fatigue AND brain fog. Without the effort, I oozed away to death, with my brain and body shutting down a little more each day. Activity Time doesn't have to be easy time.

Protection: from weather extremes.

Best is a warm surrounding which is dry.
If the roof and ceiling leak, a faucet runs continuously, rain comes through a broken window, and the walls are building a mildew covering ... we may be at more of a health risk than in a tent or motorhome. Our Reptilian Structure is genetically responsible for attempting to maintain an internal environment for us which is free of extremes, except at brief extreme times. ITS extremes are struggling to stay alive during biological attack, a critical injury, running to get away from a predator, attacking to maintain one's freedom, or, trying to keep energy levels balanced without adequate nutrition and assimilation.
It's Time to assess WHY your Reptilian Structure is struggling.

Weather extremes trigger adrenal urgency hormones.
A dwelling which is too hot, much of the time in temperature or conflict is going to drain away a lot of "cooling" energy. The same is true of an environment which is too cold in temperature or emotion. Our Reptilian Structure is going to do ITS best to raise that temperature and our participation. Either way, there will be a strain on our Thyroid temperature regulation center as well as on our Liver energy release centers. If one has CFS-ME, these centers are likely to already be under constant excessive demand. If we knowingly ADD to these demands, we are increasing our weakness to the further invasion of parasites and the further stockpiling of toxins in our cells.
Time to check our temperature swings.

Economical: within one's means.

"Beyond one's means" means always having to get more just to stay in the same place. It is like running on the spot. A lot of energy goes in. No additional pleasure comes back. It is like working an extra job, for free. For persons with CFS-ME, their Reptilian Structure is often running on the spot. It started to run with the first major health concern. When it was getting ready to take a breather, a second major dis-ease came in the door. Then a third, and more. Now, it just runs as if that is "normal". That does not leave much energy for the physical interactive elements of our Ego and SuperEgo to work with. Considering that pre-CFS-ME they had the rule and likely had little encouragement to even recognize, respect, or encourage our Reptilian Structure, NOW, is an extreme frustration for them. Times have changed. What THEY considered the Slave, now rules over them!

Buying the best residence with what we can just barely afford NOW is a highly risky choice. It assumes that our income can only continue to rise. This has been a potential reality for perhaps a decade at a time during 1950 to 1990. Repeatedly, such Growth economic times would be bordered by economic recessions before and after. As humans, we so often think of the Recent and forget the Past. We forget what we don't like and what we hope we have surpassed. What history continues to demonstrate is that we haven't passed anything! We have simply made excuses for our weaknesses and wrongs and hedged our bets. We fail to take responsibility and diplomatically say we are being positive, or, doing good business. We invite Times (history) to repeat, and, it does. It will only change when we do.

There are costs to ownership of a residence.
First time buyers can be in denial of these.
After that, we are simply ignoring the facts to get what we WANT.
And why do we want more than is financially reasonable and timely?
Does what we have indicate to us and others the level of success we NEED to feel about ourselves and we want others to acknowledge of us? Does it indicate our Need to affiliate ourselves with and see ourselves as part of an economic group which CAN afford this standard of living? If indeed these are unquestioned needs, they are driving us, and owning us, rather than we enjoying them. The costs can present chronic anxiety, fear, and depression within us. ALL of these drain energy away. With CFS-ME, no one can afford this form of energy drain.
Time to MOVE?

Supportive: makes life better.

Anyone with a chronic illness or Package of chronic illnesses will cope better and recover faster if they have a residence which makes THEIR life easier and more enjoyable. Being jolted awake with the dramatic opening of drapes or blinds to bright light, screaming loud music, the clanging of pots and pans, voices shouting at each other, a power lawn mower thundering by our window, phones ringing, tools banging, or, televisions/DVD players proclaiming ... is an alarm for the Reptilian Structure of someone with CFS-ME. Yes, you, before CFS-ME, and the healthier persons around you may hardly have noticed these things. That Time is Past. What was all background, is now in YOUR face. Now, they are INVASIONS that compete with your immune system.

Support includes a recognition of the individuality of oneself. This goes beyond the general attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of the person we WERE. We are now in the territory of someone we ARE! Many of the people we know, sometimes even spouses, prefer to remember us how we Were and to expect us to contribute as we did in the Past. When this is not possible, they are apprehensive and wonder if we are choosing to be "difficult", if we still "love" them, if we are "insane"? For the patient, many want to have an idea of How Long. Sick people, they have experienced and been told, recover within generally specific periods of time. Colds, flu, chicken pox, measles, mumps, indigestion, cuts, bruises, infections ... all have their somewhat predictable durations. And, they are all easily defined and confirmed. CFS-ME is not a one shot setback.

How can others provide Support for an enigma.
CFS-ME has been reported more often in neighborhoods with access to good housing, clean running water and relative high standards of sanitation seldom experienced in urban environments before the 1950's, than in less structured health care environments. It seems to influence those, who are more often than the general population, higher in education, and, more active in their career progression. Such persons are frequently more aggressive, determined, and self-directed than the norm. Such persons often appear strong in health and personality. How can they be CONSTANTLY ill? How can you help such a person when many have never asked for help or feel demeaned to now request it? The Truth is, that in the NOW, many of the housekeeping chores gladly done in the Past, become anxieties in the Present, because, they are Not getting DONE!

Support is offering.
It isn't WHAT you offer that is important so much as HOW you offer.
This excludes TELLING someone. You are not best to impose your efforts on a person with CFS-ME. You are best not to impose YOUR expectations and attitudes, however well intentioned, on someone with CFS-ME. Support can be one of trading favors. This is where you mention that you would like to do the person's laundry so that you can spend more time talking to THEM. If they do LESS, they will have MORE energy left in their reserve. That will equal more QUALITY time you can spend with THEM and they can spend with YOU. No one has quality time with a person who has constant Fatigue. You can break the constancy by removing some of the energy drains the person has. Then, they will be at THEIR best, and you may be tired enough to ride along at THEIR high for a time. The Quality time they have may be short, yet it is better than none. Best for All.

Attractive: liking to be near.
For a person with CFS-ME, one's residence is their most full time environment.

Our residence should be something we identify with and brings us Joy. If it is a constant source of problems and frustrations, that is seldom transmutable into joy. If one has CFS-ME, buying a new or recently new house will largely be a fool's gold. You will likely buy it and then find that a lack of or reduced income translates into not being able to pay the expenses. This leaves renovated and older structures. Older structures are likely to have been built when the building codes were different. They may have been just as good, or bad, as present day codes, for relevancy, yet, different. Appliances and fixtures will eventually require replacement or repair. As types of pipe and fastener threads change in fashion and as components change in design, more and more recent parts do not interchange with older ones. Repair may mean Replacement.

Comfortable: positive stressors.

Comfort means having an environment in which we become relaxed without having to make any changes. It has a texture, color, temperature, expansiveness, utility, accessibility, and sound which we vibrate in harmony with. This can become extremely complex and challenging if the person with CFS-ME shares their residence with other people. It may be a spouse, their children, visitors, landlords, neighbors. Yes, whether family or neighbors, close or distant, you can be assured that THEIR preferences will often be different from your own. You may even find, as is often the experience, that YOUR preferences will change between when you are healthy and when you are ill for a longer, and/or, more intense period. What are YOU going to do?

In attached housing, including apartments, you SHARE your walls and hallway with your neighbors. You also share those areas with THEIR families and their visitors. If you have not been considerate of them in the past, you may reap a hell back to you that you have encouraged. If you have CFS-ME, it is usually too late to try and change your colors. If they have become noisy, demanding, and abusive, and you were before, or, chose to participate in same, don't expect them to feel sorry for you now and forgive you and change. You set the norm, or, at least allowed it. People who have no respect for you do whatever they want when they want to. They may even take pleasure in doing something which you NOW find irritating, just to impose the pain on you which they feel YOUR lack of love has impressed upon them earlier.

Blaming the emotional immaturity of family members or neighbors on poverty, race, religion, or culture only demonstrates YOUR ignorance. One can ALWAYS find representatives of each of these groups who act with self-respect, and, respect for others. If you are not ill, develop assertive communication, not anger. Develop listening skills, not gossip. Develop volunteerism, not selfishness. You can either encourage more harmony in those around you, or, conflict. Sitting on the fence simply means that you are encouraging whatever the others are presenting. If those around you are persistently abusive, then make a long-term personal choice to plan for a move into a surrounding which can provide you with more health sustaining potential. Try to work with others for a better surrounding. If there is no interest, you are better to find others elsewhere who value health and harmony. These take honesty, activism, assertiveness, involvement.

Low maintenance: few surprises.

The workmanship and design can be high quality, or, only LOOK like quality. Let's face it, most of us are overwhelmed when we see anything in housing that is CLEAN and NEW. We expect and presume that something New must be better designed, constructed, and worth our monies than something older. Much of the time, we are correct in this assumption. When we are not, we pay severely in frustration and renovation. The faster and more urgently something is built, the more often that procedures and finishing will be lacking.

      Here are some common problems ..
      that lead to greater maintenance.
    • Retirement: Builders that retire.
    • Design: Inadequate ecological design.
    • Incompetence: Faulty installation of materials.
    • Disability: Workers who become disabled.
    • Bankruptcy: Contractors who go bankrupt.

Retirement: Builders that retire.

Builders who are mature and elderly
can be the most skilled.

Experience and longevity can become wisdom if the person in consideration has a professional attitude, a liking for solving problems, an attention to detail, a loving family, health, and some form of spiritual strength or compassionate religious faith. These are a lot of qualities for a person to have. Such people can be found. They may take a while and some prayers to locate. They may not be who you expect. A builder who decides to retire AFTER agreeing to do a job for you, during the job, or immediately after the job, can present severe completion or warranty difficulties. These problems can be frustrating for a healthy person. For a person with CFS-ME, they can become energy siphons on a nearly dry energy well.

Everyone needs accommodation.
Row, townhouse, and apartment accommodations are usually constructed in groups. Persons with lower incomes, less work experience, smaller families and less education tend to find the economic demands of such housing more reasonable than others. Prudent investors, disciplined professionals, and, retired persons also may choose such housing. Regardless of these factors, most of these residents do NOT have, are not responsible for, and do not have the expense of these:

    • Tools, for repairs.
    • Supplies for repairs.
    • Tools for painting/decorating.
    • Tools for property management.
    • Structural cleaning equipment/supplies.

ANY structure will require maintenance.
The less attention it receives, at least in the form of an inspection, the more urgent, costly, and extensive any eventual repair can become. That can mean more time, more mess, more noise, more cost. If the persons hired to do the work are slow and inconsistent, the work may be as shoddy as their presence. At the least, a very busy builder or serviceperson can set proposed times with you and inform you BEFORE the appointed dates if they will be delayed a few days longer. For their openness and directness, it is relevant that you note your understanding, and, disappointment. It is difficult to justify repeated delays from someone who is sincere. Set limits when the job must be done. Endeavor to always find or become aware of secondary builders or service personnel who you can call if your main person reamains too busy.

Design: Inadequate ecological design.

Depending on the height you live at, there can be a few factors which your residence can bring to retarding or enhancing your health and its Recovery. Much of the time, this form of housing will be located in an urban area, and also, near a highway. Air pollution levels nearer the ground are frequently higher as is the traffic sounds and the talking of people walking or riding by. Open windows on lower floors may not be advisable for both security and health benefits. To lessen the many drawbacks of stale air in lower rooms, a centralized air circulation system with filters would be highly beneficial. While circulating the air from upper levels can bring in fresh air, it is even better if outside air is directly ducted into the accommodation through a heat exchange air exchange and filtering unit. These are difficult to add to existing housing. Chack for it before buying or renting.

A constant temperature can be a benefit for someone recovering from or avoiding CFS-ME. Temperatures which are too hot will add greater strain to one's adrenal system. Temperatures which are too cool for a person can add greater demands on one's metabolic, nerve, and circulatory system ... especially when one finds it difficult to have frequent and metabolism raising exercise.

Incompetence:
Faulty installation of materials.

Is the problem one of skill deficiency, lack of integrity, price competition, confused knowledge, or, spurious expectations? One or more of these are possibilities that may result in your being left with MORE problems and greater cost. The consumer gets blindsided on these, often, through ignorance of lack of experience. Not many of us make our income through buying and selling houses. Not many tradesmen can be so restrictive in the kind of jobs they agree to that they are always interacting with the same suppliers and always building the same form of structures. It is those variances from our comfortable norm which exposes us to the realities which are present, yet, often minimized, accepted, or hidden.



Skill deficiency.

In our often simplistic non-construction thinking, we often rush to assume that if something recently repaired or installed does not work, it must be because the tradesperson involved was inexperienced. Perhaps they were installing something that was new to them. Perhaps, they read the instructions wrong and missed a step or a part. Perhaps they did not have the best tool for the job and made do by using something which placed too much strain on what was being done, resulting in a break or a crack. ALL of these are possibilities, yet, more often, an apparent skill deficiency results from the restraints imposed upon the tradesperson by the homeowner, or, contractor.

You hired a tradesperson to put a faucet and drain into a new vanity sink you purchased on sale. It was to replace a scratched, cracked, discolored, smaller sink in an old near rotting vanity, in the new and larger vanity you now have. The person came, put the pieces in place, noticed some irregularities with the design, and indicated to you what would be best. The waste pipe, already installed, is 1/2 inch high in height to match up with the sink plumbing trap. What that means is that with the regular fittings, the waste water from the sink will have to run UPhill for a few feet before reaching the downward travel of the plumbing drain. The tradesperson notes that a special fitting, worth all of a dollar or less, can make the adjustment. You understand and give him authority to make the changes.

Almost an hour later, after travelling to a nearby town to get the fitting, the plumbing is pieced together and completed. A fitting that must be squeezed together, over a gasket, at the bottom of the sink so that there are no leaks between the metal drain piece and the porcelain or stone basin, is carefully tightened. Leaks are checked for and found absent. The job has taken 4 times longer than was expected. A small additional hardware cost has been incurred. What would otherwise have threatened to become a future problem, has been avoided. The design conflict would have been difficult to determine beforehand by other than a well experienced plumber, who would also have a remedy. The new vanity and fittings are much larger, easier to use, easier to keep clean, safer, and less likely to afford repair necessities for many years.

A fine, hair line crack appears in the flat metal ring that caps the drain pipe at the bottom of, and inside, the sink. This is the part that we put the drain stopper in so that water can be retained in the sink. The fitting, beneath the sink, does not have any leaks. Yet this crack becomes very noticable when oneis looking into the sink, and, is aware of it. Eventually, leakage or safety, and cleaning, problems will arise. It is more likely a manufacturing problem than an error of overtightening by the experienced plumber. You contact the manufacturer and they promptly send replacement parts.You call the plumber back to remove the defective part and install the replacement. Job done.

Sabotage is a friend to so many people.
They would have disrupted this process at any of many stages.
Like the person who would hold the plumber to blame because the waste pipe heights did not match up, although the reality is that the mismatch was the result of connecting up a new style of vanity basin with waste lines installed for a much older design with different heights. It was integral to the change. Then, there are others who would blame the plumber for not having known of the parts requirement and of having to spend quite a bit of labor time to travel to get and return with the adapter part. Before actually hooking up the plumbing, how would the plumber know of the mismatch. The plumber had not ordered the new vanity and sink, nor seen it before arriving to install it. The knowledge could have been YOURS. Why did YOU not share it with the plumber?

Then, there are persons who would not understand the significance of the misalignments, and of the waste water backing up towards the elbow trap beneath the sink, if, the pipes were connected with a short piece running uphill rather than the code approved downhill. IF the plumber did have the experience, expertise, and integrity to mention the abnormality, this owner would have encouraged the plumber to overlook this minor problem, and proceed as is. We also know the follow-on tendency. This homeowner would have later quickly blamed the absent plumber for incompetence when later problems arose .. because of the unremedied misalignments, which the owner had authorized.

YOUR Attitude can make ALL the difference.
If YOUR Attitude is to know as little as possible about what you want others to do for you, yet, hold THEM responsible for any failures in diagnosis, remedy, or other performance ... you will likely carry this through to your interactions with health facilitators, regardless of their field, accreditation, and expertise. You will not likely ever Recover from CFS-ME by being ignorant and expecting that some Expert is going to miraculously Force you to become well. You owe it to yourself to know as much as you can about YOUR Recovery. You owe it to yourself AND any health facilitator, to offer, even request, perhaps demand, that they work WITH You. It is YOUR health and YOUR life is it not? WHOSE skill deficiency will be responsible for YOUR dis-ease?

Lack of Integrity.

Lust, or, ignorance.
Do often, we see persons promise verything and deliver far less.
They want YOUR job at any cost. They believe that once they have the job they can manipulate or force you to accept any upgrade costs and delays, because, you have already paid a deposit, they are already on site, recuiting others would raise conflict, and, you are more likely to be conciliatory than aggressive. Their LUST is for YOUR money. And, as so often happens with lust, the Desire wins out over both Common Sense as well as Honesty and Awareness.

Integrity invites integrity.
If WE are going to be deceptive, manipulative, in denial, and untrustworthy ... why should we expert better from others. Being open, honest, aware, informed, and assertive, DOES require the aggressiveness of Action, and the Courage of Confidence and Hope. It is just so EASY to reference to the majority and discount the minority. Yes, many studies continue to define reality as finding 80% of those employed in ANY profession to be insufficiently informed, poorly skilled, ineffectual, prone to error, and, lacking in integrity. That final lack may be something cultivated in THEM by imprinting, or, by OUR disrespect. When we ask "How Much?" and then try to shame them down in their price, unfairly, we are imposing abuse on them. We are encouraging them to cut corners, lie, be deceptive, and, finish on time and within budget. It won't happen.

In the same manner, don't ask a practitioner

Price Competition.
For the cost of pennies, many disasters happen.

The North American consumer is fickle.
That is the perception of outsiders when they observe that what sells, so often, is the product which is offered for sale for a few pennies less than an alternative. During 1992 to the present, with increasing rapidity, most North American manufacturing, and even assembly in many cases, has been relocated to distant countries, especially mainland China. Products have been aggregated into huge multinational distribution empires, like WalMart. Many local retail businesses have been closed for a lack of ability to make a profit without the price benefits of purchasing for hundreds of huge sales locations through purchasing and receiving departments which can specialize in foreign trading.

Where has all the investment gone?
Instead of investing new monies into upgrading local markets and providing good paying production employment within their own countries, many American investors have invested abroad. They have financed the startup of new companies in foreign countries. They have purchased the latest technology and shared the most sophisticated design, marketing, and manufacturing expertise .. with those once considered to be a third world country.

For a few dollars less, the North American has gained an ability to afford MORE, of whatever they would like to buy. What they have also gained is a loss of good paying jobs. Many of these have been replaced by unemployment or lower paying jobs. At the very least, they have garnered a greater job insecurity, a greater necessity for relocation for the necessity of employment or housing affordability, and, a greater span between those of higher income and those of lower income. For impatience, greed, and ignorance ... the American middle class, has been gutted, by themselves.

The USA promotes capitalistic democracy as a myth.
I say that it is a myth, for North Americans assume and expect that such a system can and does provide great benefits and equality to its citizens, yet, the reality is the reverse ... and is known to the rest of the world. As of late 2009, the USA has a health care system which mandates that many of its citizens receive NO health assistance. Many others receive levels of health care expertise which are viewed as archaic or disgraceful in many other countries who have supported much more effective systems, at less cost, for many decades. In addition, North American politics has restricted, and continues to increasingly restrict health facilitation strategies and practices openly available and found to be most effective in maintaining and recovering health elsewhere.



Confused Knowledge.



Spurious Expectations.






Disability: Workers who become disabled.

Tradespersons work with tools in unsteady environments exposed to variances in weather and temperature and with materials that are often rough and finishes which are often toxic. Accidents will happen unless the person is healthy, physically toned, free of addictions, and with joy and calm in their relationships. Few of us have all of these benefits. Subcontractors must also often own their tools, a mode of dependable transportation, and an assortment of all weather work clothing. A considerate supervisor or employer can make a great addition, especially since emotional maturity is often yet to be earned or found by and in both the subcontractor and employer. When confident routine degrades to conflict and frustration, accidents are easier to happen.

Time away from work equals delays in the completion of your residence, or, the beginning of your repair or renovation. Good intentions are often deceiving and encourage distrust when promised timetables are repeatedly changed. We contracted for some major plumbing work to be done BEFORE winter set in. Partly, we did not want the risk of winter plumbing failures, which were a real possibility, or, the complications and delays of winter completions.

Bankruptcy: Sub-Contractors who go bankrupt.
No green grows from a stone.

Competition does encourage price cutting, poor quality, delayed payment, amplified credit, and defective tools and supplies. Many sub-contractors are honest, hard workers, who just want to do a good job and receive fair payment. In North America, most are surrounded by an economic status quo which encourages the less assertive and well established to take RISKS which are beyond their expectations. Tradespersons who have not, or never, develop good business practices and skills, often fall prey to the intellectualized academic competitive buyer or employer. They may be goaded into paying the expense for all the supplies and financing their labor and operational expenses until the job is completed, or even, until days after the completion. What happens when the Builder, or Buyer, doesn't have the money, defaults, or, leaves with the payment?

Hundreds of sub-contractors and tradespersons are threatened with bankruptcy EVERY year, not because of poor work or unemployment, but because they finance the work they do, and then do not get paid. Legal recourse is long and expensive and depends upon pre-existing well defined contracts and the ability to locate and serve a sometimes fleeing or elusive builder or purchaser. A Builder, as used here, is a person who hires contractors and subcontractors to complete or carry out the construction and finishing. Builder or buyer, they may personally become financially stressed with the cost of addictions, divorce, or, lack of payment from their creditors. Sometimes, their difficulties are simply a point of greed. If your residence is not built yet, or your contact for service is a subcontractor, show some intelligence and hear their side. Make every effort to work WITH them rather than assume a role of antagonist.

Appliance Warranty:
For some years now, most appliances in North America barely carry a 1 year warranty. Isn't it surprising that major appliances in the 1950s often required no repairs, for decades! Appliance repair and warranty use is often a very time consuming and patience challenging activity in the 2000's. Determining that you HAVE a problem can sometimes not be straightforward. Is it the appliance, or how it was installed. Is it a model problem or a design problem with the type of appliance? You may THINK that you have a problem. The serviceperson may inform you that this TYPE of appliance simply operates in that annoying way.

Today, appliance failure too often occurs within days after a warranty expires. Major appliances often cost as much to be repaired as 2/3rds the cost of a new item of equal size. The new one often arrives with an Energy Star high efficiency rating which ensures a low operating cost. Many refrigerators are now self cleaning. Ovens can be also; however, know that the first cleaning may produce such strong and toxic odors that you may have to leave the house, with windows open, for hours.




13. Housing: detached

When you build your housing and when you move away from rental housing, there are usually some key influences. These can ALL influence how ill you become and how quickly, or if, you Recover. If your health, relationships, income, freedom, and participation are important to your quality of life, you could benefit from a greater awareness of the following.


Supportive: makes life better.

Anyone with a chronic illness or Package of chronic illnesses will cope better and recover faster if they have a residence which makes THEIR life easier and more enjoyable. Being jolted awake with the dramatic opening of drapes or blinds to bright light, screaming loud music, the clanging of pots and pans, voices shouting at each other, a power lawn mower thundering by our window, phones ringing, tools banging, or, televisions/DVD players proclaiming ... is an alarm for the Reptilian Structure of someone with CFS-ME. Stability: Staying predictable.

A living space that changes constantly requires constant adjustment to live in. The alarm malfunctions and goes off at a different time each morning, or, not at all. The range elements only work on several of their many settings, and not the same one's when we use them. We go to get a food from the cupboard and find that it has been used up and not replaced or its absence mentioned. We come home to rest and find a noisy party in progress. Either we prepare food for ourselves and others only to find no one arrive, or, we arrive home fatigued to find no food prepared. With CFS-ME, one requires a predictable living space.
Time is not available for needless changes.

Searching for and filling one's basic and immediate needs oneself is a huge energy absorber for those with CFS-ME. What is routinely completed or adjusted to with full alertness becomes a mountain climbing challenge for someone with brain fog and fatigue. When others fail to understand this and one must attempt to explain it, yet again, to them, more energy loss flows into the fatigue well. Going without will encourage physical depression .. which will enable mental depression. Finding a balance is critical, and, difficult. Sometimes it is better to be more of the time by oneself and avoid the energy demands of miscommunication frustrations. Often, it is a matter of survival to have others who can assist with cleaning, food preparation, and trips to the market.
Better time together may mean more time alone.

Setting organizational rules and asking others to abide by them in YOUR space is often a difficult action in a modern society of many options, immature and uninformed people, and shared spaces. It is the little irregularities which can become huge frustrations for the person with CFS-ME. At the same time, SOME changes and frustrations can be constructive in keeping one's brain active and growing, rather than shrinking in size and ability. I frequently worked at researching, software coding, and getting accurate Spiritual Guidance during my CFS-ME and Recovery. These were often huge challenges for someone with constant fatigue AND brain fog. Without the effort, I oozed away to death, with my brain and body shutting down a little more each day.
Activity Time doesn't have to be easy time.

Comfortable: positive stressors.
How we surround ourselves with color and sound can bring, stabilize, or, diminish our energy levels. They may lift our spirits and open us to receiving more energy. We may be energized, for a short-time, or a longer-time. Or, we may be calmed and drawn away from the OUTSIDE. If the calm is adaptive, we can feel re-energized from a release of tensions and a strengthening of our foundation for life. If the calm is rebellious, we can feel distracted and unconcerned as we block out and cover over our anxieties, fears, and health sabotagers. Comfort supports rest, release, and health maintenance. Discomfort encourages distress, irritation, tension, action.
Awareness provides Choice.
Choice can enable health.

Comfort means having an environment in which we become relaxed without having to make any changes. It has a texture, color, temperature, expansiveness, utility, accessibility, and sound which we vibrate in harmony with. If we are ill, Calm and Health could be better major frequencies than Stability and Activity. We will consider the potential of color here. Use these possibilities to assess your responses and reactions to different tones, styles, and volume of Sounds.

Color is known to influence us.
What we choose as our preferred colors often indicates what our unconscious priorities are. We may HATE some colors because of energy block associations with a personal or hereditary traumatic experience. We may LOVE some colors because we associate them with the state they encourage within us, the status we hope they will bring us, the harmony they bring to our environment and relationships. They may also be an indication of associations we make through expectations of social acceptability or rejection, requirements of an employer or spouse or parent, or, the intention of what we want to bring more of into our lives and expressions. It is Time to consider some possibilities:

  • BLACK:
    Security is often the signal this color radiates
    It is independent (does not mix well with other colors), unchanging (the same in all light exposures), calming (soaks up and reduces the other frequencies). For a person carrying a weight of and one or a combination of grief, abuse, fear, guilt, rejection, or hate ... black has a tendency to calm (weaken) these irritating (negative stimulating) feelings. It also tends to strengthen resulting feelings of depression, and, disconnectedness. Black can bring a greater reality of health to a troubled person who choose to cope through denial and distraction, rather than acting out.

    For a person with CFS-ME, the color BLACK is mandatory for sleep and rest. Surrounded by black, continuously, may further diminish one's motivation to recover. While I had CFS-ME, even the smallest amount of light would disturb my sleep, if only enough to keep it light, and unrefreshing. My adrenal hypersensitivity meant, that, for me, I could not bear to wear an eye shade to provide the darkness needed. ANY contact with my eyelids was alarming. After re-setting my adrenal activity threshold, I could IMMEDIATELY wear an eyeshade with no difficulty. Even with less than perfect darkness, I gained deep and refreshing sleep ... which translated, immediately, into More energy.

  • WHITE/Creme
    Stability is often the signal this color radiates.
    It is unchanging. It provides little stimulation nor depressiveness.
    This is why many industry built mass housing was for decades painted white or creme. Few people would complain. It might not have been a favored color. Neither was it usually hated. The new owner or tenant could ADD their favored colors. Changes in lighting could bring subtle changes to a white wall or ceiling. Often, in brighter lighting, the colors from the surroundings might be reflected on the white. Creme, a muted shade of white, is often used as a base or original finishing coat over raw construction materials. It is much easier to add other colors over, than Black.

    The person with CFS-ME will often have an over-active sensory system. For some, White may have the influence of a constant .. stimulus. Others, may respond to this CONSTANT as one of a constant energy drain .. which leaves them increasingly tired. Yet others, may find that white is like a muted form of Yellow, which seems odd. It may be that White, for some people with CFS-ME, now becomes the new association with sunlight. Many people with CFS-ME experience very little true sunlight due to their long mandated hours of sleep and rest. At one point, 10 minutes of sunlight would leave me fatigued for the day. The indoor White, became my new sunshine.

  • BLUE:
    Calm is often the signal this color radiates.
    Like water and the sea, it suggests absorption and life sustaining.
    Its use in decorating has tended to be under a long assumption of contribution which finds it seldom highlighted. The most common locations for its use have been bedrooms. There, it is considered to provide a calming and peace bringing atmosphere. The suggestion is that it will encourage a release of tensions after a tension filled or accumulating day of activity. An extension of this suggestion is that it will encourage harmony between persons sharing the room so that a better context of sharing and sleep will develop than if some other color were flooding the environment.

    The person with CFS-ME may react or respond to blue in different ways according to prevailing mood and aggressiveness of Basic Personality. Some of these response may seem to be contradictory at the same time. Many people with CFS-ME find it necessary to rest and sleep a large part of their day. A blue colored room will both encourage this rest, and, frustrate the desires of many ... for more energy and activity. Some may find it more difficult to make the energy transition from sleep to activity, in a blue colored room. Others, may find a blue room suggests to them that they SHOULD be calm and happy and rested, yet, they FEEL frustrated, angry, guilty, and anxious about their inability to be as active as they would like to be. The reality is: If you enable the color to agitate you, that is YOUR choice, and your LOSS.

  • RED:
    Red has been considered for millennia to radiate aggressiveness.
    Aggressiveness is only an encouragement for Action.
    It is what we do with that stimulation and action which determines the quality of our interactions with others and the environment. With our full energy complement, we may revel in the attraction we gain from others. We may bask in the dramatic statement we make to ourselves and others. We may be energized by the lively contrasts which Red can provide to other colors. Red is the color of blood. With Yellow, it shares colors with fire. In nature, it is often an indication of warning, poison, and, protection. We commonly use Red in our traffic signals to indicate STOP. It gets our distracted attention and focuses it. Stopping IS an action. Cruising, is not. Red tends to signal health, for only the healthy can best appreciate it.

    For an outsider to CFS-ME, it would seem to be a good idea to cloak and surround a person with CFS-ME, in Red. That may be because the outsider is unaware that the FATIGUE of such a person is largely the result of OVER-stimulation of the adrenals, immune system, and total Reptilian Structure. Red, in small or muted doses, may bring some brightness into the day of someone. Red may be experienced as desirable because it often brings attention from others in its dramatic presentation. Yet, many people with CFS-ME do NOT want attention which will drain away what little energy they have through interpersonal expectations and frustrations. A bull collapsed on the ground really doesn't appreciate another jab from a spear to incite it into action!

  • YELLOW:
    Energy which is constant, gradual, periodic, and activating is the signal.
    Like the Sun which rises every morning and sets every evening, yellow is connected to the Active times of our ancestors through our biological wiring. It is less dramatic and more basic than Red. It is the anti-Black. While it suggests a positive constant, there are many cultural idioms which relate yellow to cowardice and rejection. It is seen, and perhaps experienced, by those who would be rebellious, as action without the passion and violence of Red. If Yellow supports the status quo and harmony, does Red support rebellion and change? Like any basic color, there are many variations in tone to Yellow. It is a color which can be tinted to appear as more or less of another color. It can masquerade as something it is not. It can deceive the senses into perceiving it as entirely NOT yellow ... Green!

    For the person with CFS-ME, the color Yellow influences, more than any other, according to the free (and largely unconscious) associations of the person involved. These may change many times during the day. Almost any emotion can be elicited. Yellow may be a color which illumines the feelings of the Present. It may bring them more to the surface and more to expression. We can Choose which emotion we WANT to express, or, we can just allow ourselves to be on auto-pilot. Yellow will not us Rest. Though it will not dramatically push us into action. It is everywhere, and nowhere. Be aware of its influence. Ask yourself what YOU want IT to ASSIST you with.
    Benefit or Loss, it will be YOUR Choice.

  • GREEN:
    The color of life on the Earth is this signal.
    Green has received renewed significance since the year 2000 with an ecology awareness resurgence from many decades previous. We do have a biological memory of green and its connection with MANY different real images in a natural environment. In the unmanaged and uncultivated wild, most of which has been eliminated by humanity, there are many pleasures and discomforts allied with the color green. Most plants are green, at least in part and at least part of their life cycle. These can mean nutrition to us in addition to a wide range of tastes. Alternatively, green is one of the colors of some moulds, slimy algae, and reptiles. We avoid and fear these more through ignorance than wisdom.

    A great modification of beliefs regarding Green has arisen during the past century with the massive relocation of humanity from the countryside to urban areas. There was once a common association with and awareness of the potential benefits of trees, crops, herbs, fresh and clean air, and, water. In modern times, 80% of humanity has never lived in lush green vibrant and alive surroundings. For them, green has a closer association with Money. And money, for many carries the connotation of many things which are dramatic, and, opposite. While a portion of the population may have an idealistic romance with the ecological green, few of those actually live IN the Green.

    GREEN is one of the few colors my wife and I were never Guided to include in our environment while we had CFS-ME. As soon as we regained our health, a variety of shades of green gradually entered our environment. We painted one large room in our residence a very pale green. Some of our new purchases of clothing were green. One reason NOT to include green, for some people with CFS-ME, is that plants always grow well with fungi in the soil. When watered, outside or indoors, the push of air out of the soil, displaced temporarily by the new addition of water, carries with it spores. Plants and trees also have a wealth of pollen and spores at various times of the year. For a person whose immune system is working overtime, looking for both real and potential problems ... the presence of more than a minor quantity of spores or pollen may trigger a TH1 response. That, is a setback for anyone with CFS-ME.

    If you want good advice, YOU must discern what is relevant for you from what is offered. Throughout this material, you are provide with options, detail, and, ways of testing and discerning what is relevant for you. Here also, take the Real experiences and reflect on and test your own responses to determine what is best for you. You will then be able to begin with a constructive health enhancing foundation. Ensure with repetitive evaluations whether those enhancements remain positive and whether previous exclusions become present benefits.

  • BROWN:
    We all know of brown as the advertised color of wood, soil, tanned skin, leather, and, excrement. Healthy people largely practice denial about the association with excrement and emotionally attach themselves to a pleasure, and often a scent, of something which brings to their mind a sense of strength, permanence, and warmth. Certainly, most variations of laminate flooring are Brown in color. Laminate flooring has become easily available and popular since 2005. Earlier versions tended to be more outgasing (less healthful) and more difficult to install. It has become very costly to use solid wood for construction and in furnishings and its tendency to crack or warp when not allowed to season dry in a moisture controlled environment increasingly limits its use. Composite and glued particle woods tend to outgas a lot and require frequent finishing with toxic compounds.

    The person with CFS-ME will likely have to accept most of the colors already in their residential environment. Carpet flooring is typically high in outgasing, high in dust and dirt retention, and high in care requirements. Vacuuming is a high energy activity with potentially considerable movement requirement. Persons with CFS-ME don't have the energy! The toxic outgases can also be devastating not to mention the high probability for dust accumulation and development.


Our color preferences may change as we become more predisposed to health, or, illness. We can encourage states of activity by the colors we Choose to wear and the colors we Choose to predominate our environment. The challenge for each of us is to Choose the colors which are best for building and maintaining our health in the short-term, when we are ill, and for the longer-term, when we are strong in health.

These selections & changes will be on an individual basis.
We have different Basic Personality strengths/weaknesses, different intensities and extents of imprinting, different numbers-types-presence of energy blocks, and different environments. When we spend quality time and/or a lot of contact time with others, we can negotiate with assertiveness, tact, and awareness, OUR selection of colors for the best harmony of the whole. We may satisfy our benefits from color though our selection of clothing, linens, curtains, hangings, pictures, and dishes ... not only the finishes we add to our walls and floors.

Protection: from weather extremes.

Best is a warm surrounding which is dry.
If the roof and ceiling leak, a faucet runs continuously, rain comes through a broken window, and the walls are building a mildew covering ... we may be at more of a health risk than in a tent or motorhome. Our Reptilian Structure is genetically responsible for attempting to maintain an internal environment for us which is free of extremes, except at brief extreme times. ITS extremes are struggling to stay alive during biological attack, a critical injury, running to get away from a predator, attacking to maintain one's freedom, or, trying to keep energy levels balanced without adequate nutrition and assimilation.
It's Time to assess WHY your Reptilian Structure is struggling.

Weather extremes trigger adrenal urgency hormones.
A dwelling which is too hot, much of the time in temperature or conflict is going to drain away a lot of "cooling" energy. The same is true of an environment which is too cold in temperature or emotion. Our Reptilian Structure is going to do ITS best to raise that temperature and our participation. Either way, there will be a strain on our Thyroid temperature regulation center as well as on our Liver energy release centers. If one has CFS-ME, these centers are likely to already be under constant excessive demand. If we knowingly ADD to these demands, we are increasing our weakness to the further invasion of parasites and the further stockpiling of toxins in our cells.
Time to check our temperature swings.

Economical: within one's means.
Most people who have CFS-ME are unable to perform a job with regular shifts or work times extending up to 8 hours or longer each day for 4 or more days of the week. A major symptom is Fatigue. That ensures that their abilities will be erratic in availability and duration, though NOT by intention. This will often mean that there will be no income, perhaps for a long duration.

Often, disability insurances AND provincial and state health care systems will not pay disability pension or other support assistance through bureaucratic deception. During 2005, mandatory health care insurance coverage in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, did not pay disability benefits to persons with CFS-ME, UNLESS, they had been so diagnosed by their singular specialist ... within 2 years of getting it. It then usually took 2 years and longer for such a patient to be referred to the specialist. One also had to have a moderate and taxable income within the 2 year limit in order to qualify. This combination of requirements guaranteed the rejection of all claims by CFS-ME afflicted persons.

"Beyond one's means" means always having to get more just to stay in the same place. It is like running on the spot. A lot of energy goes in. No additional pleasure comes back. It is like working an extra job, for free. For persons with CFS-ME, their Reptilian Structure is often running on the spot. It started to run with the first major health concern. When it was getting ready to take a breather, a second major dis-ease came in the door. Then a third, and more. Now, it just runs as if that is "normal". That does not leave much energy for the physical interactive elements of our Ego and SuperEgo to work with. Considering that pre-CFS-ME they had the rule and likely had little encouragement to even recognize, respect, or encourage our Reptilian Structure, NOW, is an extreme frustration for them. Times have changed. What THEY considered the Slave, now rules over them!

Buying the best residence with what we can just barely afford NOW is a highly risky choice. It assumes that our income can only continue to rise. This has been a potential reality for perhaps a decade at a time during 1950 to 1990. Repeatedly, such Growth economic times would be bordered by economic recessions before and after. As humans, we so often think of the Recent and forget the Past. We forget what we don't like and what we hope we have surpassed. What history continues to demonstrate is that we haven't passed anything! We have simply made excuses for our weaknesses and wrongs and hedged our bets. We fail to take responsibility and diplomatically say we are being positive, or, doing good business. We invite Times (history) to repeat, and, it does. It will only change when we do.

There are costs to ownership of a residence.
First time buyers can be in denial of these.
After that, we are simply ignoring the facts to get what we WANT.
And why do we want more than is financially reasonable and timely?
Does what we have indicate to us and others the level of success we NEED to feel about ourselves and we want others to acknowledge of us? Does it indicate our Need to affiliate ourselves with and see ourselves as part of an economic group which CAN afford this standard of living? If indeed these are unquestioned needs, they are driving us, and owning us, rather than we enjoying them. The costs can present chronic anxiety, fear, and depression within us. ALL of these drain energy away. With CFS-ME, no one can afford this form of energy drain.
Time to MOVE?

Security: Keeping out pests.

Pests can take many forms and each can encourage you to become weaker and sicker. Part of the equation is that we can attract, invite, and sustain pests in our environment. The FORM is unimportant. There are bacteria, fungi, virus, insects, animals and people who can bring positive influences to our health. This is the cultural downfall of our attachment to FORM. We are conditioned early to EXPECT and Assume that Form is a good indicator of worth. This is not only inaccurate. It is deceptive and we sometimes enable such perceptions to manipulate us. We are seldom manipulated by THEM. We are the ones who ENABLE ourselves into being manipulated. Often, this is OUR shortcut to discernment because we are too lazy or rush ourselves too much, to take the time and spend the energy to evaluate what we are committing to.
What and Who are we committing our Time to?

We commit to whatever we participate in by routine.
If we allow our surroundings to become dirty, we are committing to NOT cleaning. If we keep our music loud constantly, we are committing to Denial, and often to addictions to ward off chronic depressiveness. When we suggest that our life is controlled by fate, imprinting, energy blocks, politics, employers, or, OTHERS, we adopt a Victim persona. When we make persistent efforts towards Recovery, we present and project ourselves as Survivors. Pests, of all forms, choose Victims, by preference, rather than Survivors. Why battle with someone who cares when you have others who just invite you to take from them?
Time to become a Survivor.

Survivors set limits to keep Pests out.
They clean up their food crumbs, wash the preparation countertops, launder their clothing and linen, sweep away the dirt, and keep their doors and windows closed against the entry of dust on windy days and water on rainy days. If you don't want dust mites, harmful bacteria and fungi, food poisoning, flu viruses, and other health weakening pests (including depressive humans), you are advised to screen your windows and phone calls, patch the holes in your walls, floors, and computer communications, and, wash away the accumulated dirt and destructive attitudes.
Survivors do not have Time to waste.

Attractive: liking to be near.

Our residence should be something we identify with and brings us Joy.
If it is a constant source of problems and frustrations, that is seldom transmutable into joy. If one has CFS-ME, buying a new or recently new house will largely be a fool's gold. You will likely buy it and then find that a lack of or reduced income translates into not being able to pay the expenses. This leaves renovated and older structures. Older structures are likely to have been built when the building codes were different. They may have been just as good, or bad, as present day codes, for relevancy, yet, different. Appliances and fixtures will eventually require replacement or repair. As types of threads change in fashion and as components change in design, more and more recent parts do not interchange with older ones. Repair may mean Replacement.

The Luscher Color Test, by Dr. Max Luscher, 1969, Random House; translated to English by Ian Scott, 1971, can be a helpful resource. Color can have wide ranging influence on our health.







14. Produce: General
A good strategy for general produce is to buy as much as you can within your budget to cover your needs for as long as each item can be expected to last, less 10%. The reduction by 10% is to provide a spoilage and usage cushion such that one could hope that you will not be encouraged to use a lot more than normal, and, that the items will not deteriorate faster than suggested. The term "produce" is often used to indicate fresh vegetable and fruit items; here, it is used to indicate anything you purchase, excepting clothing and utilities.

Chemical fertilizers have been intensely used in North America for over 70 years. The scientific findings of this factory approach to farming have demonstrated, for decades, that such use increases crop yields while diminishing the presence of earthworms in the soil. Earthworms are a potentially masterful helping servant to the farmer. They burrow through the soil and keep it porous. These ingest dead and dying foliage and plant refuse and leave behind digested nurients in a balanced form which is easily assimilated by the sown plants. Together with crop rotation practices, which enable the farmer to "grow" green fertilizers to return nutrients to the soil, earthworms assist in sustaining farmland depth, and, soil quality. Earthworm cultivation of soils also assist in the dispersion of rainwater such that rather than collecting and running off a hard packed and sun baked surface, it seeps down into the soil and is retained and made available to crop roots. Chemicals kill earthworms.

The nutrient loading of crops has shown a dramatic change following the use of chemical fertilizers. Within only a few years, earthworm presence has diminished, soils have become more hard packed, water availability within the soils has lowered, and natural organic humus fertilizer in the soil has been depleted. In addition, with over-intensive farming practices, soil depths have decreased from as much as 3 feet (1 meter) to as little as 6 inches (10 cm) in many parts of North America, within 150 years. Vitamin and mineral content within popular food crops has dropped to as low as 10%, or less, of what they once were. That translates into requiring you to eat 10 times the Quantity of produce that your great-grandparents might have retained robust health with, in order to maintain your own.

17. Devices : Activities

There are some passive exercise devices which we can use that will provide us with exercise in spite of our fatigue. Exercise IS critical to one not becoming increasingly weakened. It is also imperative if we are going to Recover. Neither of these are possible for a person with CFS-ME who experiences constant fatigue and stifling weakness, and, who invites a worsening energy state by actively participating in physical strain. The following are several options for you to consider. Some are costly. Some require the assistance of others. Some demand YOUR innovation.


     

  • Back to Life Back Exerciser.
    Back2Life users simply lay back on a flat surface, situate themselves onto the unit and let the Continuous Passive Motion of the Back2Life machine gently soothe tight muscles and release the pressure between vertebrae. The slow, rhythmic movement loosens tight muscles and releases the pressure between the vertebrae to relieve the pain.

    This device will also exercise the mesenteric root structure. This can enhance assimilation of nutrients and excretion of toxins by reducing tensions in the abdomen.

     

  • Chi Machine.
    This home aerobic exerciser, oxygenates, tones, strengthens the body, increases feelings of energy, aliveness and well-being, stimulates lymphatic system, exercises and balances spine.     This is a high quality elastic stretch tube rope, available in different lengths and strengths. There are numerous ways in which it can be used to tone and strengthen specific muscles or anatomical areas. It can enable effective weight training and isometric training without the need for heavy, costly, and cumbersome devices. This is also easily portable and lightweight enabling you to take it with you on any trips and for it to be easily stored when not in use.

    While the person with CFS-ME may find it difficult to work for any duration with this, it will be easier to do some light stretches for short durations rather than none of any kind. It also allows for a wide selection of movements undertaken in many stances including standing, sitting, and laying.


Passive exercise is the only daily exercise option for most people with CFS-ME. Fatigue may even make these difficult to engage in by some without assistance from others to get them to and on the devices, and, back to their beds. A failure to keep the body fluids moving is a failure to excrete toxins and a failure to provide oxygen to the biological processes which can change parasites into waste, and, food into energy. Our ability to innovate and be flexible in our perceptions and judgements will determine how quickly we Recover, or, accelerate into despair.





18. Devices : Environment
Devices which define the basic comfort and security of our surroundings can impact ourbalance of cortisol. This balance, more than any one other singular factor, will determine IF we have CFS-ME, and how long we will continue to experience it. We can make efforts to assist in mediating our hormonal thresholds, until they can be recalibrated, or, we can let them rule, and ruin, our life.

What we often take for granted in the world around us while we are scurrying about in good health, can become elemental factors in determining our Quality of Health and our level of survival in our efforts towards Recovery. You can do a lot with a little to help yourself.


  • Respirator.
    My wife benefiting from use of a portable respirator and filter during an early stage of her CFS-ME and it enabled her to NOT become hypersensitive. It providing us with the time necessary to address such rising influences. It can be a substantial help in delaying and avoiding a panic response/reaction to some symptoms during a period of immune system Overload.

    There are a number of environments through which and in which persons with CFS-ME can have their symptoms worsen as their immune systems detect a rising presence of potentially toxic, or immune sabotaging, influences. The attempts of your Reptilian Structure to protect you from high regional concentrations of air pollution, cleaning aerosols, cooking errors, industrial and paving activities, high pollen or spore counts ... can make it impossible for one to complete, or even begin, the journey to one's appointment.

    Ambulance conveyance to a hospital in hopes of clearing or diagnosing a significant symptom presence (like having ALL of the symptoms of a heart attack, stroke, or poisoning) CAN be dangerous. In a personal incident, early on, in a major city, I was checked by the capable attendants, put into the ambulance, and fitted with an oxygen mask. The mask had significant mould spore contamination from previous users and proved to be a highly toxic source to me. I recognized this, used my anti-panic skills, calmed my system, and calmly removed and demanded no further use of the mask. If you panic, your responses will endanger your health further. The attendants will likely assume that you need MORE oxygen and insist on your use of the mask. Using the mask may introduce not only spores from the resident coating of fungi, but also bacterial and viral contamination from previous patients.

    Most portable respiration masks have a wide selection of filters.
    These filters are designed to exclude and capture particular chemicals, biologics, dust, or combinations. I recommend an organic chemicals filter as a minimum option. Consider the other variations and your Personal situations regarding home AND travel environments. For extended wear, you may find it more comfortable to cut small pieces of fabric to place between your face and the rubber/vinyl mask. I did have the dramatic experience many years ago of having to drive a borrowed fungal contaminated well used car from a remote region into a major city to attend a number of meetings.

    I was fortunate to have a respirator.
    My hypersensitivity symptoms, at that time, would have become so extreme that I would not have been able to stay in the car, even with the window open, at speed, in the middle of winter, without the respirator. Approaching the car exhaust and industrial pollution of the urban area and expressways, I would have been unable to travel anywhere, without a respirator. Aside from these environments, I was able to function and communicate, without the respirator mask. Within minutes of entering either and both of the toxic-to-me environments, severe symptoms returned until the mask was put on.

    Persons with CFS-ME are not usually hypersensitive, though they can be, and may become so. Having a respiration mask available and using it IF required, can assist one in NOT becoming hypersensitive, and, of not reacting with severe symptoms. Don't expect to look pretty to other drivers as you drive or are driven. You will have encouragement during your episode of CFS-ME to develop a health-first attitude which seconds social acceptance.

  • Water Softener.
    Hardness of water can encourage scale buildup in hot water heating tanks, kettles, sinks, faucets, drains, and valves. Most commercial softeners use rock salt to "condition" the water and keep the minerals in suspension though ion exchange, or, remove them. Softening enables soaps to lather more and for them to remove dirt into a suspension which can be washed away. Hard water often induces us to use higher concentrations of soaps and detergents for the same job.

    Salt is a residual in many of the salt dominate systems.
    Placement of the softener in the water source piping is critical to health maintenance. If ALL of the water entering your residence is softened, the minerals in it, some of which can be a health benefit for you, will be removed, or made less bio-available. In addition, salt will be added to all of the water you use for drinking and cooking. If you have high blood pressure, the added salt may endanger your life.

    The Magnetic Softener/Conditioner suggested adds no toxins, potential or real, to the water. It induces ion exchange in a simpler and safer manner, retains minerals, and assists health. It can be easily fitted around the usual 3/4 inch water main plumbing pipe without any requirement for shutting off the supply, disconnection, addition of fittings, soldering, testing, and reactivation. Placed early in the line, the descaling influence of the magnetic conditioner will assist the water flowing through your pipes and hot water heater, in the long-term, to descale. This can add greater longevity to your hot water tank, less clogging to your pipes, and gradual and subtle improvements to your health.

    Persons with CFS-ME do not benefit from the anxiety, the time and expense of plumbing repairs and replacements, the continual cost and physical demand of rock salt recharging of softeners, nor the potential health complications that salt-based softeners may impose. If you use a septic system for waste disposal, salt will contaminate and lessen the efficiency of the necessary digesting bacteria. Added salt, for a sewer system, ends up in your fresh water rivers and lakes, increasing their acidity and diminishing healthy aerobic life. It makes water treatment into drinking water, more costly and difficult.
    You now have the knowledge and an alternative.

  • Shake Pads.
    Major appliance vibration can create anxiety.
    The more you use the appliance, the longer and more frequent the vibration. One could take comfort in the possibility that this vibration is providing subtle full body massage to yourself, and your building. The danger, recognized by those familiar with construction, is one of structural destabilization. Worst case possibilities include cracks in walls and ceilings, a repositioning of mobile home and other shelter foundations to being out-of-level, a shaking of windows during appliance use, plumbing problems, cracking or flexing of flooring, dislocation and excessive settling of floor-ceiling-wall insulation, annoyance of one's neighbors, sleep disturbances.

    The transition from top-loading to front-loading washing machines has accentuated this danger. The direction, speed, and motor operation of front-loading washers all contribute to the much greater vibration component. Top-loading machines tend to follow an oscillating motion in which energy inertia in one direction is cancelled by an equal turning in the opposite direction. Front loading machines tend to turn their baskets only in one direction. This constant buildup of inertia is released is a form of resettling of the machine, producing an up-down vibration. Many front-loading machines rotate at speeds 10 times faster than their front-loading counterparts. This magnifies the inertia produced.

    Vane size and orientation are much more critical for load balance in front-loaders than in top-loaders. In the latter, gravity has a tendency to pull clothing to the bottom of the wash tub. There, the reciprocal washing action has a tendency to reposition clothing around the tub when the clothing is not too tightly packed. In the front-loaders, light loads may easily become stacked on tub vanes which gravity helps to hold in place as the tub rotates quickly, in one direction. The larger, deeper, the vane, the more clothing can become stacked on it. The potential is high for the drum to become unbalanced with clothing bunched more in one quadrant than another, especially during high speed spins. Unbalancing any washer drum results in often vigorous, vibration.

    Front-loading washing machines have environmentally friendly features. They use 40-60% less water than top-loaders to effect the same washing result. They also can effect the same quality of wash with less detergent. Less advantageous features include a potentially higher purchase price, a usual 1 year warranty for most appliances (subject to extension for added cost), and, a less vigorously promoted design requiring their less problematic installation on a concrete, basement, floor. In multi-level, mobile home, and some manufactured housing this option is often not available.

    Anxiety, fear, confusion, frustration, excessive work, added financial strain ... are ALL health saboteurs for persons with CFS-ME. If you are in denial about the above, they will not bother you, until, repairs become necessary. To avoid the panic urgency of repairs and the shock of potentially costly repairs, consider the use of Shake Pads.

  • Gas mini-range.
    Increasingly through the late 1990's and up to the present, there has been a developing level of risk for major power or fuel disruptions to the North American community, or parts thereof.

    Natural gas transmissions being interrupted, may not be considered hazardous if one has prepared with a backup electric one. Consider that in such an instance there would be MANY people sharing your predicament in YOUR region. Energy resources are often at a point of over-demand during the significant demands of low or high weather temperatures, for a day. An exchange of reliance from natural gas, which 50% or more of North Americans use as a primary heating medium, to electricity, would force a brownout, and encourage a blackout.

    Electrical source disruption has failed much more often than gas in the past. Weather or other induced breakages of transmission lines, transformer overloads/explosions, and brownouts have resulted in interruptions of electrical service to regions for periods of hours to weeks. Most natural gas heating systems, and many heat pumps rely upon electrical energy for the operation of their sensors, gauges, fan motors. Without these in operation no gas is burned and no heat is generated. The fan circulation motor often requires more electrical energy, to start, and to run at length than many power backup devices can provide. Gas heating may fail and leave auxiliary electrical heaters operating to one's needs. Failure of electrical systems imposes failure on most natural gas systems, and, some higher efficiency wood and pellet stoves.

    Propane heating systems are often costly and cumbersome.
    While the heater can be located inside a building, the tank source is legally mandated to be outside the building, with intentions of safety. A rubber hose is often used to connect the heater to the gas bottle. Regulator gauges and other fittings are often added expenses. A hole in the wall, or access through a partly open window, will be required to enable the supply hose to connect the two. For safety, access to outside air is required for the use of a propane heater will burn oxygen from the surrounding air for its combustion, diminishing the oxygen in the air being breathed by YOU, unless it is replaced by outside air. The access hole for the hose, or a separate opening can be used. For an extended period, heaters do not provide any potential for cooking food or heating water.

    A small propane range, as noted here, will provide basic heating and cooking options. There are no possibilities, from their construction, for relocation of the small gas bottles at a distance from the unit. The devices are low in cost, easy to operate. They can provide a substantial degree of real security and safety for a person with fatigue during an extended power outage or natural gas interruption.

    A lower stress environment is one that doesn't threaten us.
    Unfortunately, there are times in our constructed world when our industry and commerce has created more health challenges for us than benefits. To maintain our health and enhance our health we must become proactive. Persons with CFS-ME tend to spend a lot of time in their residences. If spending time at home endangers one's health or causes considerable anxiety, recovery is less likely than if one could feel confident and be truly maintained or improving in health. If one is to more dependably travel to distant appointments, the route may not take one through regions with the most pleasant air to breath. Whenever possible, consider ahead of time what your route will be like and if any special precautions are best planned and taken.





    19. Devices : Therapeutic
    These are instruments which can be used to assist your Recovery.
    There are many instruments in the market which declare that they can help everyone recover from everything.

    The reality is that 20% help very few people beyond the placebo influence. The originators are fully aware of the limitations of their devices. They believe that offering hope to the hopeless is worth the risk of failure and deception, and, worthy of the monies they receive. They provide an example of deception and failure to the public which encourages an attitude of rejection from many. The very skepticism encouraged in many people who are in denial, and looking for a quick fix, also produces confidence from the externals of dramatic advertising, profuse paid testimonials, offers of time defined discounts, and, the use of technobabel. It can be very difficult to discern the probable from the unlikely.

    A further 30% of devices are erratic in their effectiveness.
    The inventors may be skillful promoters and adept at the use of hypnotic suggestion and desperation of prospects. They may be unconsciously doing some pattern of presentation which they have associated with a device they have found, innovated, or fabricated. They may be seeing fantastic results from their personal intervention. It may be easier, or less criticised, for them to ascribe the benefit to the device, rather than to themselves. They may fully Believe that the device is the significant factor. Yet, others buying and using the device may experience very little or no health improvement.

    Perhaps 40% of devices can assist in strengthening the health of many people, IF they are used by gifted and passionate operator-facilitators. That means that they have taken the time to understand, learn, experiment, and practice with the device. Much of those times have returned them minor payment and little support from others. If you find such a person, they are likely charging you less than their expertise and service is worth. Whether it is worth that to you, now, is a matter of relevancy, which is YOUR responsibility. Consider that you are in a minority of persons which can be significantly assisted, IF, the device is used at the best time for its benefits. You may be best to use other options first to prepare you for the optimum benefit from these.

    Professional use may be mandated for success in the use of other devices which are too complex, too costly, too large for the ill individual to learn and use. Persons in their area can only learn and use the technology at the expense of their current practice, demand, and income. There may be great potential for benefit to the community yet without the target recipients being organized into a group, contact is limited. Further, without significant and consistent support from the regional political system and the local and national healthcare associations, possible practitioners are discouraged from the risk of developing skills and purchasing technology which they must use in a secretive manner.

    If YOU are technically and innovation skilled there is no limitation, save finances and access, to your learning how to use the devices and using them for your own benefit, and, perhaps for others after and during your Recovery. Finances are sometimes deceptive as it may cost you more for appointments and transportation to receive optimum benefit from some devices, than it would for you to purchase the device, and, training.


  • ETA Scan.
    The ETA Scan is both a diagnostic tool and a health energizer.
    Primarily as a diagnostic tool, it can target weaknesses and indicate difficulties. With this improved focus, one can seek to address toxin presence, parasites, metabolic irregularities, energetic disturbances, and other. This can substantially benefit the selection and timing of specific forms of therapy, detoxing protocols, supplements, herbal extracts, homeopathics, and, prescriptions.

    The ETA Scan is a diagnostic tool.
    You wear microphones in headphone-like gear placed over the ears, sounds [frequencies] are sent through your body, transmitted from a red laser sourced from the computer program, and focused on your forehead. You can follow the imaging process on the computer screen. For the many hundreds of points and conditions examined, the process is very fast.

    Your body is screened for regulatory dysbalances by comparing your signals to that of others in a database of other persons of same or similar age and gender. Findings are displayed in one of 6 intensities with symbols of color and shape being placed over each of the hundreds of points checked. A particularly interesting observation is that developing health weaknesses can be detected early, even before symptoms present.

    The ETA Scan is too costly for most of us to afford for purely personal purpose. It becomes more justifiable if it is being used for multiple members of one's family and others in an extended family. If you choose to do this and offer the benefits to others, ensure that they are interested in the findings and willing to do something if corrective actions are indicated. The devices do require considerable time and concentration to master. Most of people with CFS-ME will not have the energy or clarity of thought to do this.

    Once you have found someone who is providing this service, it could be a a plan to have an analysis and treatment once every 3 or 6 months. You will likely find more than enough recommendations to provide you with direction for at least these lengths of time. You will benefit more if you can be patient with the practitioner and allow them time to review the findings, both during the session and after, before providing their report. Formal reports may not yet be available beyond the extensive listings of test results.

  • Lightshaker.
    This device requires very little personal energy to be used.
    Consulting one or more diagrams plus muscle checking, asking for Spiritual Guidance, or, experimenting with the unit, one can find and determine which applications are most effective for oneself. The use of two Lightshakers simultaneously, applied in different locations and sometimes at different strengths, can provide an even greater improvement. The device is inexpensive to operate as it uses a 9 volt battery (a rechargeable one can be used) and it is optimum to be turned on no longer than 1 minute above any location. Often, no more than a sequence of 3 locations is relevant.

    The light quanta (photons) are absorbed by the skin and underlying tissue, triggering biological changes within the body in a process known as "photobiostimulation". There are molecules within the cells called photo-acceptors that, when activated, accelerate or speed up the cell repair process. These photo-acceptors can be activated only by a single wavelength frequency of light. Monochromatic light increases oxygen and blood flow, accelerates wound healing, and facilitates pain reduction and muscular relaxation.

    Light can be applied directly to tissue or applied via meridians and acupuncture points. Direct application results in effective penetration deep into the tissue. Meridians can be used to deliver light into the body because monochromatic light travels through the meridians like an optical fibre. Single frequency light is also a well known method for stimulating or sedating acupuncture and acupressure points.

    The Lightshaker delivers light that is 660 nanometers in wavelength, which is in the red spectrum that promotes fast healing in the body. These healing tools are safe for adults, children and the elderly to self administer for many kinds of physical pains, cuts, abrasions, muscle tension, allergies and much more.

    Timing is a concern here, more for selection of application spot than for duration. Longer use at any location than one minute provide no continued or accelerated benefit. It can be applied at any time of the day. Routines are unnecessary. Simply use when relevant symptoms present. This may be every day, for a time, or, widely varying times. The device is easily portable and can be taken with you in a purse, pocket, briefcase, or other companion bag.

  • Lightbeam Generator.
    Clogged lymph drainage is a given with persons who have CFS-ME.
    Depressed (slowed) biological systems and fatigue reduce physical activity to nil. Physical activity is required for the lymph system to remove the normal wastes of cell metabolism. Failing that, wastes can develop into toxins and provide environments which attract, and protect, disease forming parasites. To reduce the toxins, flush out the waste, and disadvantage the parasites .. you need to get the lymph moving. Standard forms of massage do not benefit this fragile form of circulation and may even make it worse.

    Light Beam therapy achieves its results by rebalancing the electromagnetic charge that either binds cells together or keeps them apart. Cells in the lymphatic system can clump together and bond electrically with water to create disease conditions of swelling or abnormal growths. By separating these cells from each other and from their accumulated fluids, edema, tumor masses and other blockages are dispersed.

    Light Beam treatments usually last about an hour.
    Typically, one will lie down, with a gown or light clothing on.
    A set of 2 to 8 (2 per machine) will be held or positioned over specific parts of the body. They may be left there for a few minutes, or, moved gently in that area. Care must be taken so that none of the heads being used slip and fall to the floor. One may wish to drink water before and after the treatment. It is not a problem if the patient falls asleep during the treatment. It is best not to experience any form of massage during the half day following the treatment.

    For the person with CFS-ME, this is not a device that can be easily used by someone with fatigue. It is best that the treatment heads be moved in sequences about the body. Following a protocol of movements may prove a challenge. Holding the heads and moving them to the different positions will require changing the orientation of the body a few times and use on oneself can prove awkward.

    Lower cost units are available and can be used rather than the professional units. The LBG device is more appropriate for moderately healthy proactive persons to use to retain and build health than for fatigued persons to operate. If cost and access permit, a weekly, or more often, LBG treatment would prove highly beneficial until lymph movement is restored. Thereafter, periodic treatments to ensure lymph movement could be quite a plus.

  • Far Infrared Heat.
    There are portable and standing fixed units available.
    As a health maintenance device, and if one owns their residence, or, has a long-term lease, and, stable employment ... one may wish to purchase a far infrared sauna. These are full standing enclosed cubicles which one or two persons can go into and sit, stand, lay to receive the heating rays. Some of these units have windows, audio options, temperature and timer controls ... within the unit. Many can be operated from household current without the need to install new wiring. Some have a higher quality of heating element than others. Yet, for the person with CFS-ME, such a unit may be both too costly and require too much movement just to get in and out of.

    Hot House FIR Health Builder, noted here, was used by myself and my wife when we were experiencing the worst of our respective variations of extreme CFS-ME symptoms. It has a dome, half round, shape with fittings which enable it to be situated around and over one for optimum free-standing placement and optimal benefit. There is a 4-position timer which signals at the end of each unit of time. The heating surface is super-radiant in its angled cellular construction, yet safe by its thermostatic control. While the timer signaling can be annoying, one can sleep easily under it. It can also be positioned on stands to wrap around oneself while you are sitting.

    There are many health benefits that can be realized through the use of such a unit. I used it as often as 3 one hour sessions daily. This is a device that would be best to obtain as early as possible and use, as you test a benefit with it, until you recover, and beyond. At our worst, we set the unit up on a raised spare bed that was not used for formal sleeping. By raising the bed 8 or 10 inches with stable blocks, the unit was at an easier to move height for us when we were standing beside the bed. It also felt easier to roll onto the bed and under the device. Using a separate location removed the added energy drain that would have been required for multiple set-ups and take-downs, daily ... if it had been on a bed used for sleeping.

    Always Remember:
    If the cost of the device seems to be too much for your financial resources, consider purchasing the unit for the benefit of everyone in your family, and, possibly sharing ownership and use with interested friends, relatives, neighbors, therapists. Others may be positive to sharing cost and use before considering getting a unit solely for themselves. This can be more awkward and require frequent repositionings, but, it is an option. A therapist could drop by and pick up the unit, often, take it for use by themselves, their family, or clients ... and then return and set it back up for you.

    The DEVICES you Choose and the Way in which you Use them, will impact your health Recovery and maintenance. Like all of the other factors in this Timing Section, the way in which you react and respond in the other areas of your Lifestyle will be reflected in those activities and beliefs you enhance and sustain in your balance of health. Recognize this and do your best to become consistent in the way in which you express your Beliefs, and, maturity. When you realize and accept that you are not the center of the universe, your mother is not you, and that other people have their own set of preferences and beliefs, you cross the threshold from age 2 emotional self-indulgence to adult part-of-the-whole involvement.





    20. Friends.
    A friendship can last for a day, month, decade, or lifetime.
    A friendship can be an emotional and social support.
    A friendship can be a safe harbor in a storm.
    A friendship can be an excuse for denial.
    A friendship can be manipulative.
    A friendship can be convenient.
    A friendship can glide along.
    A friendship can die.

    If we are aware of the requirements of, dangers to, remedies for, and health consequences of .. we can more assertively form, release, and keep those which are a benefit to all participants.

    Socially traumatic events often divide us from people we thought were friends, believed were friends, and hoped were friends. Such events include these:

      • moving away
      • a marital divorce
      • imprisonment
      • change of profession
      • change of religion
      • change of gender
      • CFS-ME, stroke, severe disability

        Friends are often people who ..
      • we talk frequently with
      • we play with
      • socialize with us
      • listen to us
      • respect us
      • do for us
      • help us
      • we help

    A conflict of Realities is revealed in the above two lists.
    Friendship is often framed by the external similarities we share. Those characteristics give us a norm of values and experiences about which we can express concerns, participate, acknowledge, take pride in, gossip about, and use for privilege and the acquisition and use of power. These external realities encourage us to think of ourselves, and others, as the roles we play and how textbook our portrayal of those expectations are. When socially traumatic events occur, our ability to continue those roles, and our ability to be seen as legitimate members of those previous roles, is severely cracked. We are forced, or highly encouraged, by changes in our physical distance and our physical availability, to form new friendships and separate from older, and now apparently irrelevant relationships.

    Friendships invite us into, can hold us in, or exclude us from a number of realities. That aspect can give us emotional, career, family, and social stability. Those FORMS of stability can often remove or restrain the amount of destructive stresses we are exposed to. The changes are predictable, expected, understood, invited, experienced, gradual. These forms of changes rarely challenge our health and rarely deter us from Recovery from anything acute and immediate, or, chronic, yet manageable. Such interruptions are short, easily supported, quickly forgotten.

    Friendships can also restrain us, confuse us, challenge us, confine us, and deceive us. They can be a source for exclusion, addiction, and loss of joy. For a person with CFS-ME, the PHYSICAL symptoms of depression will either be enlarged, maintained, or reduced by the relevancy and sincerity of the friendships we have. With the symptoms of CFS-ME, most of the external identity we have had earlier, is lost. This loss is not temporary, partial, insignificant. We cannot DO our roles to the level of involvement we have in the Past. Others may project that our withdrawal is by Choice. This sense may unconsciously threaten them with feelings of grief, anger, abandonment, rejection, distrust, pride, and, confusion. This sudden and sharp change is reality can trigger a form of shock in others and bring out THEIR weaknesses.

    Intimate relationships can survive, but, will they?
    Intimate relationships involve knowing about the INTERNAL personality strengths and weaknesses, needs and vulnerabilities, emotional abilities and spiritual values of another person. This awareness is encouraged by longevity, dependency, and, sympathy. If these simplicities grow into rapport, sharing, interdependency, and empathy ... there is a stronger connection to resist dramatic change. These relationships need not include physical sexuality nor strong physical similarities. They may develop through chance meetings, mutual attraction, reciprocal encouragement. They survive only as long as each participant continues to respond to the changes, regardless of intensity, of their partner. One strong intimate relationship is more healthful than dozens of external coats of paint. It is the hidden, internal structure and foundation which preserves a building with dependability. A house supported only by paint, will fall with the slightest test.

    There is a TIME when external relationships are fun.
    In times of revolutionary turmoil, the quality of that fun, must be at a point of excellence. There is little Time, then, to grow the primitive into the enhanced. If you have not seen and accepted the Reality within yourself, you have little to share with others, which cannot be easily replaced. Very few people take the time and devote the effort to grow their own food when affordability, and accessibility of commercially prepared and grown foods is easy and enables the time for many experiences of happiness. When YOU are ready, you may allow for the beginning, or, resurrection, of a relationship of timeless dimension.


  • Personal Comment:

    I DO state that this awareness can be effective for many persons who have more singular or less devastating forms of ill health, including a number of cancers. CFS-ME is defined by a person acquiring any 5 or more of 13 specific acute expressions of chronic illnesses. I have experienced significant health improvement personally from this awareness, and/or, witnessed a number of other people benefiting from it.

    Strengths often become weaknesses when applied to extremes or in situations where they are not relevant. Even as complexity in a reality which is singular is foolish and wasteful, simplicity in a reality of complexity is destructive and often deadly.

    The information on this page may be relevant for you now, or, tomorrow, or, later, or, never. Consider that it will be relevant for friends and/or relatives and that YOUR mention of it to them provides them with an opportunity for them to decide for themselves if it is something they wish to consider, or, if they also would like to share it with others.     I have since gone back, and with Spiritual Guidance, made a format out of the pieces. Some tools and benefits I defined AFTER Recovery in order to SUSTAIN recovery. Many people who have Recovered from CFS-ME cannot revisit the illness experience without sacrificing their recovery. With the help of Spiritual Forces and a supportive partner, I did that in order to outline and provide this and other tools for YOUR Recovery, and to sustain my own. Make it worth the effort. I am.

    Always be sure to muscle test or use Spiritual Guidance to determine if it is applicable to you, or for someone else from whom you have the permission to ask for, at the time of your interest.

    Note that muscle testing can be subverted by strong and immature identity factors (Ego or SuperEgo, or, both).
