What is Running Your Life?

OUR PERSONAL SPIRIT IS INDESTRUCTIBLE.
It exists before our bodies and will exist after our bodies.
If we are to lead a life which is truly spiritual in any way, it must be with the leadership of our Personal Spirit. Our Unconscious is only responsible for the safety and survival of our body. Our Ego is responsible for our personal short-term physical and emotional satisfaction. Our SuperEgo is ultimately the tool and servant of society. It often deceives and manipulates our other Identity members into believing that it can be and should be our spiritual guide and master.

HUMAN HISTORY has shown us the danger and disaster of SuperEgo surrender: hatred, wars, racism, massive ecological disaster, runaway population, and continental examples of starvation, economic collapse, and political abuse. Only our Personal Spirit has the longer-term and a Universe-based spiritual focus. Our Personal Spirit carries any mission or purpose for which we have been born. To deny or ignore that is to suffer ... now, later, or both now and later.

A WEAK PERSONAL SPIRIT will allow other Identity contributors to interfere and assume command. It is not that our other Identity factors do not have a responsibility and a fit for certain tasks and requirements. Rather, it is that each of our Ego, SuperEgo, Unconscious and Basic Personality have proven consistently historically that they cannot constructively direct us and are dangerous when allowed to assume complete direction over our lives.

Let's consider some of the particulars which we know about Personal Spirits and then consider why they may become weak and how to strengthen them.


Rules, Expectations, Assumptions.

IF YOU KNOW AND UNDERSTAND the features of your Personal Spirit then you will have a choice of assisting it and of it combining the talents of our other Identity participants. A Spirit requires acknowledgement and respect or we lose contact with it and we lose our awareness of it. Once that happens, we are little better than some level of mechanical or electronic device. Unless you want to be just another over-confident, depressed, confused, anxious, desperate, or wandering human ... get in touch with your Spirit.

CAPABILITIES and TENDENCIES of our Personal Spirit.

    1. Tiniest material presence of all team members;
    2. Tries to prepare one for "Heaven";
    3. Trust and awareness must empower it;
    4. Truth before all else --- no justification for dishonesty;
    5. Totally spiritually centered: no allowance for material needs;
    6. Timely response, when healthy and unobstructed;
    7. Takes one's reputation to heart, with sincerity.



Potential Benefits.

HOW OUR PERSONAL SPIRIT BEST ASSISTS us in our lives.
Do you really want to keep giving these benefits away?

    • ... most capable to manage all aspects of our Identity;
    • ... maintains stamina and endurance;
    • ... provides courage against adversity;
    • ... pre-empts self in the service of others;
    • ... maintains reverence and empathy;
    • ... positions one for maximum spiritual growth;
    • ... maintains a focus on one's life mission.

As long as you live and beyond, your Personal Spirit will be there for you. Will you empower it to provide you with the best life you can have, or, do you just want to take whatever comes along and have your Ego, SuperEgo and Unconscious build Energy Blocks and put dams and stop signs in your way? The challenge is to surrender to and support the strongest and humblest part of your Identity.


Frequent Errors.

If we know the weaknesses of our Personal Spirit we can better avoid those factors which contain it and encourage those factors which empower it. Without self-awareness we can have no effective self-direction. Without self-direction, there is little success.

    • very often, supporting attitudes are not mentored;
    • very often, it is taken for granted & not acknowledged;
    • very often, supporting behaviors are not acquired;
    • your associates, community, and culture may deny it;
    • your Basic Personality may seek to hide it;
    • your friends, peers, & family may weaken it with ridicule;
    • responses may be manipulated by the Ego;
    • responses may be weakened by the Unconscious;
    • responses may be destroyed by the SuperEgo;
    • repressed when abused, blocked, unhealthy.



Are you on the true Path?

ANY EFFECTIVE MANAGER has a daily meeting of their team.
This maintains good communication and interaction between the team members.

  1. Acknowledgement of individual team members encourages them to feel that their contribution is valued, desired, and able to be constructive.

  2. Regular and frequent discussions prevent misunderstandings from magnifying through inefficient work habits and misdirected tasks.

  3. Personal Ego and group SuperEgo concerns can be reframed through the mission statement of an organization and the goals and targets currently being worked on.

  4. Difficulties, problems and new challenges can be acknowledged and receive the co-ordinated attention they will require for resolution.

  5. New opportunities can be shared.

  6. Interim successes can be celebrated.

  7. Clarification and reminders of role responsibilities can be expressed.

  8. A renewing of commitment to ask first and act second can be taken.

  9. Clashes between team members can be soothed and eliminated by management requesting a focus on the team goals and a respect for the owners of the organization.


Teams fall into inefficiency, unproductivity and dissolution when these team building measures are not taken.

COMPETENT MANAGERS PREPARE THEMSELVES FIRST.
A manager who calls a meeting and then tries to determine why it was called and what will be done after all the team members have gathered --- will soon lose the confidence, respect, and attention of those team members. The same is true of Personal Spirit management of one's Identity TEAM.

RELEVANCY demands involvement and awareness.
It is easy for one to become caught up in just going through the motions --- like a robot. That is, to simply assess, search, test, and act. Routine is the responsibility of the Unconscious, not the Personal Spirit. A role of the manager is to co-ordinate the efforts of the team. You cannot do this if you don't know where you have been, what you have to work with, or, where you are going.

THE GIFT AND GRACE of Higher Self Guidance does not make you God.
The best that you can ever be, as a human, is a disciple, student, son, daughter ... of and for God. If you want Personal Spirit strength, prepare for every day ... sometimes, every hour.



A SUGGESTED LIST of preparation questions follow.
There is no magic in this list.
You are responsible for defining what is best for you.
You are responsible for determining what and when changes should be made to your preparation.

Higher Self Guidance saves you hours and weeks of wasted time.
It saves you from defeat and failure.
It provides you with unbelievable opportunities and achievements.
Following its guidance can bring you the maximum in self-empowerment, self-direction, and spiritual development. Where else and how else can you get such benefits for a little preparation time.



THE LIST:

    • Who do you give credit to for your guidance?
    • What is your current focus?
    • What mistakes did you do yesterday?
    • What is your set of tasks for today?
    • Do you have any energy blocks presenting?
    • What did you achieve yesterday?

MOTIVATION & POWER for the Personal Spirit come from an awareness of the value of Higher Self guidance and the knowledge that one has had the choice to request and follow that guidance and has done so. Earthly results and benefits are a secondary consideration for one's Personal Spirit. It's first consideration is did it get THE message, and, act on it regardless of what was indicated.

INTERFERENCE WEAKENS a Personal Spirit by the amount of conflicting energy which is contributed by Ego, SuperEgo, or Unconscious identity components.

RESPECT STRENGTHENS a Personal Spirit.
When other team members invite the contribution of the Personal Spirit they receive back constantly informing, reminding, and, where applicable --- including in and rewarding for their part in carrying out the guidance received from one's Higher Self.


TEAMS OF PEOPLE taking direction from their Higher Self Guidance are a step beyond one's identity team. You are responsible for your part only. You are not the team nor more important than the team as regards team goals and direction. Requesting Higher Self guidance for a team is just that: it is not requesting what one should do for one's own direction. It is asking for guidance as to whether to be part of the team and as to how one should best participate with them at this time.

IT WOULD BE IDEAL if all team members have clear Higher Self guidance. They would always independently reach the same set of answers --- as requested for team guidance. Of course, their questions would have to be asked with the same intent and understanding (relevance and content). Unfortunately, this is seldom reality.

HUGE REWARDS are possible from a team effort.
Those rewards similarly demand commitment, self-awareness, humility, and effort. The effort will be relevant to the strengths and weaknesses of your Basic Personality. If the Personal Spirit of each is strong enough, and, if the self-discipline of the Ego and SuperEgo of each is adequate, you can work miracles. Humility here means that you will know if your Higher Self access is as strong and direct as that of the other participants. If not, you will gladly defer to them, while you continue to refine yours. If someone else is not as adept as yourself, you will be compassionate in sharing with them and encouraging their improvement.



God is very forgiving.
I have found that God will provide many opportunities in such a situation. Like any effective manager or parent ... if one of your identity team continually tries to force you to deny, avoid, and conflict with the true guidance ... real world opportunities will be lost --- and given to others. You will be guided to either release the adversarial and uncooperative person from the group or to disband the team entirely.

PARTICIPATION ACCORDING TO CONVENIENCE mandates failure.
Child-Parent responsible and constructive interaction provides a good parallel for understanding this dynamic. A child may not come when called to the dinner table ... and may miss out on dinner. A child may be lax in the performance of his or her family duties ... and may miss out on his/her spending money allowance. A ride may be offered for one on condition that they are prepared at a certain time. A lack of self-discipline and respect for the driver ... may result in one having a long and unnecessary walk.

A CARING PARENT never wants their child to experience failure.
A RESPONSIBLE PARENT knows that learning develops through attempts , failures, and successes ... and that the ability to cope with failures precludes an ability for success. The child can be constructively encouraged and be provided assistance when such is requested. If the parent does all the work, the child will only learn to give its self-direction to others. The helpless child becomes a slave to others and a parasite on the energies of the team. A team which does not work together easily is not appropriate for a spiritually guided path. If you ask for spiritual guidance, you must be prepared to respond in seconds, if such is indicated.

ARE YOU ON THE TRUE PATH FOR YOU ?
If you have been open to confirming Higher Self guidance and have followed such, you are. If other members of the team refuse, or are unable currently, to uphold their responsibilities ... the team function will fail and the team opportunity will be lost. If you have done your part, other opportunities will arise for you. Allow your Personal Spirit to take comfort that God is always there for you, if you are sincere.



Demands of Teamwork.

Self-direction demands that we acknowledge reality.
To know reality is to ...

  • make decisions for today leading to tomorrow;
  • humbly go where others fear to go for lack of guidance;
  • acknowledge that others can do many things better than you;
  • appreciate the gifts and limits of your Basic Personality;
  • empower your Personal Spirit by deterring and avoiding abuse;
  • respect your Reptilian unconscious for its survival concerns;
  • reward and discipline your Ego for its assistance;
  • caution and plan with your SuperEgo for the long-term;
  • give thanks for the guidance of your Higher Self.

Get real, or you will go nowhere fast.



Managing Your Personal Spirit.

YOUR PERSONAL SPIRIT is expressed as the underlying constant of your behaviors and perceptions. Whether it is or is not such a constant depends on whether you and those around you constantly empower it, or, constantly weaken it. You don't like it when you are given the responsibility for a task or project and no power or authority to carry it out. So why not treat your Personal Spirit as you would like to be treated.

EMPOWER YOUR PERSONAL SPIRIT with the following choices.
Choose to have it manage your Identity TEAM for success.
It can only efficiently do that when it has access to your Higher Self, as its guide, and when the other parts of your Identity work as a team with the acknowledgement that your Personal Spirit, with Higher Self guidance, is the best suited for a co-ordinated benefit.

  1. Appoint your Personal Spirit as the Manager of your Identity Team;
  2. Know and build on the features of your Basic Personality;
  3. Be aware of and acknowledge the positive contributions of your Ego;
  4. Keep a record of guided decisions and their positive outcomes;
  5. Note and remind your Ego of inappropriate decisions it encouraged;
  6. Get going on releasing your Energy Blocks and increasing your skills;
  7. Take adequate rest so that your Unconscious can do its maintenance;
  8. Learn about Hypersensitivities and avoid or recover from them so that your Unconscious is not distracted and overburdened with chronic illness.
