Q1: Why not just go to a doctor?

Your first step is best to determine what your obvious symptoms are.

Are these indications which just began suddenly, have they been developing over what period of time, or, are they symptoms which seem to come and go or fluctuate with intensity? Any doctor or medical service will need your feedback first before making any decisions, unless you are unconscious. In that case, another person will make the decision for you.

The easiest avenues of help are to administer first aid yourself, call for an ambulance, call a doctor, or take you to a hospital, in that order. If you have a scratch, abrasion, cut, sprain, or burn --- you will often be best served by receiving first aid at the scene, and then considering follow-up action. It would hardly be constructive to drive a distance and berate a doctor or hospital staff because you have a cut which you could control the bleeding of. Whatever other sources of help you call on, you will most likely have to wait, so, why not do something constructive yourself. You and every member of your family should be familiar with basic first aid procedures. There are free and low cost community sponsored courses, professionally led courses, and self-teaching that are available.

In regions served by an ambulance, the trained staff on board may be of essential help to you during the time that it would take you or a friend to drive you to a hospital. They will also have contact with the area hospitals and be able to determine which ones will accept you. In the early 2000s, government supported medical care has been rationalized downward in priority and hospitals are increasingly unable to admit new patients. The nearest hospital may not be able to serve you, nor the second, nor the third.

Going directly to a doctor's office is also no guarantee of service as the office may be closed, the doctor may be delayed in his or her hospital rounds and not yet be at the office, and, unless your doctor is skilled in the area of health you have a problem in, they may be of no help beyond sending you to a hospital.

Communication:
In almost all cases, your ability to determine and communicate your symptoms, or the ability of someone near you, will be the difference between your receiving relevant or wasteful attention. All the useless and misguided attention in the world will not improve your health. Take the time to build your self awareness. Expecting others to imagine how you feel is self-denial. Expecting others to tell you how you feel is foolish. Learn to be aware.

It doesn't matter what condition you are in, if you cannot communicate it, your chances for improvement and recovery are slim to nil. Read the Earthtym section on Symptoms to get a sense of the importance of vocabulary and the importance of the subtle meanings of words. Thousands of people die every year in the USA because well-intentioned doctors give medicines to their patients according to their best guess as to which symptoms the patient appears to be having and what those symptoms actually indicate. Doctors are often rushed by their practicing environment to make decisions that are simplistic outcomes of apparent symptoms, or, the lack of symptoms. Your inability to help them is a severe difficulty to your effective treatment.

Whenever you receive a diagnosis that the doctor believes nothing can be done to assist you, get more opinions until you are satisfied that you understand your illness condition and you know what all of the alternatives and their associated risks are. Waiting to die and living like you are in semi-suspended animation doesn't help you nor those around you. Many times, in different situations, I have been told my a number of different doctors and specialists that they expected my health to improve very slowly over a long duration, or expected me to never recover, or to die in the not too distant future. Sorry, that wasn't good enough for me. I found answers and recovered. In most cases, you can also.

To receive the best medical care, ask for Spiritual Guidance.
That Guidance can tell you which avenue will best serve you, or which sequence of care. It can indicate who will be your best therapist or practitioner, as available. It can indicate which herbals and medicines to take, when, and what dosage. Add to that the composition of your nutrition and which conventional and alternative care approaches to seek out and you have the most efficient approach to health care. Of course, you have to spend the time to build the skills in order to access the power. Leaving it until you are ill, is a poor strategy --- like deciding to have your brakes fixed as your car speeds down a winding steep roadway skidding from side to side.

SUMMARY: Your best access to healthcare will be determined by the preparation you have done beforehand. The more prepared you are, the shorter will be your time of distress and the more certain will be your recovery. A doctor cannot prepare for you nor assume the responsibility for the risks you have taken.

Q2: What health risks may I avoid with this info?

With the information provided on the Earthtym.net site you may be able to avoid almost any chronic illness and to improve or even recover from one's you may already have, unless, you have found out too late, or, do too little for your requirements.

The illnesses addressed on this site range from those resulting from the negative influence of Energy Block induced behavior and attitude patterns, to heavy metal influenced health weaknesses, to culturally encouraged or enabled deficiencies of self-awareness and skill. Use the online site SEARCH function to find those pages with "symptom" on to best determine what this information will help you avoid.

SUMMARY: Until you are aware of the reality which is yourself and the reality of your surroundings and your options, you have a problem. You can either remain in denial and hope that, unlike most people, you will remain safe through irresponsibility, or, you can lean to be self-responsible. For the least problems and difficulties, one learns to be aware of reality and develops the best skills to cope with that reality. This site cannot do the learning for you. It can outline some constructive options for you and encourage and facilitate your development of some skills and relevant knowledge.

Q3: What are the safest approaches to health?

My experience supports the following list of approaches, according to order and priority, graded from the most safe to the most risky. Published medical research findings (July, 2000, Journal of the American Medical Association) confirm those about hospital care and doctors.

      1. Higher Self Spiritual Guidance;
      2. Prevention (self-awareness to strengthen health);
      3. Prevention (skill-development to prevent accidents);
      4. Prevention (self-direction to take responsibility);
      5. Prevention - Corrective (doctors & therapists);
      6. Nutritional and herbal intake planning;
      7. Vaccination, Prescription drugs, Antibiotics;
      8. Hospitalization (Let someone else do it.);
      9. "Ill look after it when it is necessary."

You may have to work your way up from the high risk position you are now in so consider the following for motivation:

Some people DO live to the age of 100 years.
They are often the ones who did not expect to.
Take a baseline of 100 and subtract your age = ______
Consider that you have 18 months before becoming chronically ill.
How may years does that leave for you to languish through? ______

Throughout those years, you could have daily health difficulties which could prevent you:
- from fully participating in life, independently and with family;
- from maintaining full-time work and a dependable income;
- obtaining health insurance benefits because you are not FULLY disabled;
- from maintaining a self-sufficient lifestyle and force you into Poverty.

Well, it is your choice.
There is no way I would go back.
It's just too fantastic always being the best I can be!
Nothing that you can't go for also.

Q4: Are some options more effective than others?

SUMMARY: Yes.

The most effective options are the ones that you follow.
It doesn't matter which alternatives are most effective when followed, if you don't follow them.

The options you choose to follow typically have these variables:

    1. They fit your Basic Personality preferences;
    2. They fit you cultural training of acceptability;
    3. They fit your pattern of self involvement and awareness;
    4. They parallel what your understand and have been taught to accept;
    5. They are the kinds of choices you find easiest to make.

Whichever options fit the above variables, they have decided your health to date. Is that good enough, or, would you like improvement? If it has been good, are you confident that they cannot be improved? Are you willing to risk improvement?

If your answers point to a desire to chance improvement, then here are some considerations:

- Higher Self Spiritual Guidance is ALWAYS the most effective for YOU;
- Options confirmed by muscle testing are often quite effective;
- Health strengthening skill development is often underrated;
- You can be quite effective if you become aware and informed;
- Specialist practitioners are often quite effective
within the limits of their discipline;
- General practitioners and therapists are effective for common ailments;
- Hospitals are often only effective for emergencies at off-peak periods.

Q5: Are Alternative Medicine approaches safe?

SUMMARY: Totally depends upon the humility and skill of the practitioner.

Alternative medical approaches are usually defined as those not commonly accepted by the North American conventional medical monopoly of pharmaceutical prescribing, surgery, general practitioner routine, specialist technical testing and manipulation, and radiation destruction of cells. Some refer to this as the drug-cut-denial-burn approach. With the sanction of the Canadian provincial and American federal governments and the multi-national insurers acceptance, these approaches have been allowed almost unrestricted promotion of their practices with comparatively little supportive research for much of the last 100 years. They promote themselves as the best, yet, they will not permit themselves to be judged by the same high standards they insist Alternative approaches should be held to.

Conventional approach reactionaries are those numerous practitioners who call themselves Alternative doctors, yet hold their own discipline as worthy beyond the consideration of all others. They are considered a danger here for no discipline is suitable ideally for everyone and for the treatment of everything. Even as you would be hopeless in trying to build a house with only a hammer, or fix a car with only a wrench, so also the true Alternative Medicine advocate works with and beyond Conventional medicine and not in reaction to it.

Alternative medical approaches are defined here as those which accept a wholistic understanding of health. The practitioners of it humbly believe that different perspectives to the interpretation and treatment of health weakened situations is not only permissible, but necessary, even mandatory. Modalities which often carry this attitude include Balancing Therapy, Kinesiology, Acupuncture, Herbology, Iridology, Reflexology, Tai Chi, and certain forms of self-development.

The practice of medicine and health strengthening and improvement by anyone is an art. Technical skills and segregated knowledge, devoid of attachment to a real, living, individual person --- can be learned and applied according to routine (Technician). True effectiveness demands the RELEVANT application of these skills and knowledge in a way which best enables and serves the individual requirements of the patient (Professional).

This is best enabled through the expression of self-directed and spiritually oriented communication skills including self-assertiveness, empathy, and humility. Since there is no institutional way of assessing these more dynamic skills, individuals who express them are not recognized by certificate, material wealth, or fame --- but by there degree of success, and by their patients -- if and when those patients are sufficiently aware to appreciate the benefit.

In the area of nutritional supplements and herbal preparations, there are potentially great benefits and great dangers. Few persons who use these compounds use Spiritual Guidance, or muscle testing, to determine what they should take, at what dose, and when. Nor is there much attention devoted to the possible and real adversarial influences that may arise through the malcombining of different quantities of herbs with particular foods, and, pharmaceutical medicines, and, alcohol, and/or nicotine, and/or air and water pollution.

A selection of which is best for YOU, when it is appropriate, and if it will be useful can be determined by Spiritual Guidance, muscle testing, or trial-and-error. Each person's Basic Personality capabilities, Personal Spirit strength, Ego maturity, SuperEgo assumptions and expectations, and Unconsciously held energy block addictive patterns, together with one's personal history of experiences contribute to determining what is best and when to improve and maintain the individual's health at its best within the capabilities and resources of the individual.

Any medical approach is as safe as the person prescribing it and the person using it are skilled, knowledgeable, and aware of the patient's life system capabilities and requirements.

Q6:
Can I use both Conventional & Alternative options?

SUMMARY: Anyone living in a commercial economy can use any selection of services they can afford, or, that the political structure sanctions (authorizes and pays for). Your question may more specifically be, "Can I use Conventional and Alternative options together without conflict and with efficiency? A few words can make a great difference in meaning and results. The answer: Yes, if well informed and Guided.

The challenge of using 2 approaches to wellness safely is the finding of one or more practitioners who represent each of the approaches and have respect for one another. Without that respect, each will continually discount and criticize the other, and you, for having made such a choice. This dynamic only discourages you (bad for your health) and intensifies the intolerance which each practitioner holds against his or her presumed, and often real, competitor.

If you find an informed and wholistic general practitioner, she or he may be valuable in providing you with a referral to a specialist, required in government supervised health systems, and, she may offer you insights about each to prepare you.

When I went to a wholistic General Practitioner to whom I had been referred by one of my sources, she offered me insights I would not have received from a Conventional GP. My symptoms were of prostatitis, testicular cancer, and colon cancer. She heard out what I had to say, affirmed that my self diagnosis in view of the symptoms was worthy and arranged for appointments with the desired specialists.

I had been taking increasing dosages of herbal medicines, as Guided. My concern was that while the Alternative approach almost eliminated the symptoms, my dosage was extreme and going off the medicines for even 24 hours saw a dramatic return of all the symptoms. Something was getting out of hand and I did not have the resources and time to be further patient with the Alternative approach. The doctor warned me that on going to see the colon specialist and the urologist --- under no circumstance was I to tell them what I suspected in detail, not to reveal my use of the vitamins, minerals and other medicines, and not to appear over-excited. Her explanation was:

"Conventional medicine doctors, particularly specialists, have no training or understanding of Alternative medicine approaches or practices. If you start speaking a language they don't understand, and possibly questioning their authority, they may simply have you committed to a psychiatric ward and placed on drugs. Just let them do their job as they know it. I wish it were different, but that is the reality."

It wasn't easy to follow her caution with the possibility that I was nearing death and being asked to relax and be patient, potentially for months. The progressive symptomology indicated a timeframe of weeks! The colon specialist eventually indicated that I couldn't be sick because he could not confirm anything with the details in the journals he had. If it hadn't been written about, it didn't exist. And in his 40 years of practice, he had never had to treat anyone with other than a high fiber diet or obvious surgery indicated by visible cancer in the anal end of the colon. I had been on a high fiber diet for 12 years, and my cancer indications were coming from the far upper end of my colon.

I eventually was referred to two further specialists for the colon problem. One told me directly after quickly reviewing my details that "modern medicine has made many strides but there are still a great many areas that we do not understand well. I don't see that I can do more than (doctor 1), so I'm referring you to (doctor 3)." The third specialist prescribed a drug for me after a 15 minute interview. When the drug worked, the doctor had only assumptions as to why, and was not interested in the specifics of how it worked and why it was helpful in this situation.

My General Practitioner had also referred me to an MD that practiced homeopathy but I had neither the resources to visit him at the time nor to purchase the medicines he would have suggested. At a later time, he was helpful in confirming my suspicions about a totally different health problem which had become acute and had prescribed services from the Conventional care approach. These were to be later followed by his homeopathic assistance. Unfortunately, the conventional care specialist (3) totally discredited his prescription as irrelevant because it did not carry government sanction, they denied the suggested diagnosis, offered no constructive or effective solutions, and did nothing.

The above are the frequently experienced clashes that patients are exposed to when trying to obtain wholistic wellness solutions to potentially acute health problems. It is not that you cannot engage both but frequently the intolerance of each deny the benefits of each. So you may be placed in a position in which you cannot tell the left hand what the right hand is doing. The important question is "Can YOU keep things understandable and co-ordinated?"

Most people lack the extensive cross-discipline awareness and knowledge together with a calm about their own situation, and the experience of a frequency of such decision making --- to stay on track. The danger is that you will utilize practices from multiple disciplines to treat the same problem and that those approaches will conflict with each other and weaken your health in some further manner. Too much of anything can be as bad as too little. So where does that leave us?

If you have access to Spiritual Guidance, directly or by way of someone else, use it to determine who to go to, what to follow, what to take and do, and how much, and how often --- confirmed on a daily basis.

A second option is to try and find a truly wholistic doctor, or medical center, who can use muscle testing or some other modality to test for YOU and not prescribe general cures with general dosages for the general public.

A third option, if you have the resources, is to try one or more Alternative therapists by way of referral from others who have had similar conditions and recovered. As we are discouraged from sharing such personal histories publicly, usually because they are unsuccessful, this may also elude you.

A fourth option is to focus on Conventional medicine. See you General Practitioner. Get referrals to specialists. If you believe the problem is serious or chronic enough and your GP is not helping, get a second, third, or fourth opinion --- until someone has something constructive to provide. Set up your appointments, for which you may have to wait months, and, wait.

Options five, six, and seven are combinations of the above according to your financial and time resources and your desire to recover. You can recover from almost anything if you can find the most effective and efficient option for YOU. The term is "Relevancy."

Q7: What option selection precautions should I take?

SUMMARY: Get a clear focus on what you need in the beginning and don't waste your resources and risk damaging your health by trying everything that others tell you should or might work. They are not at risk. You are.

BASIC PRECAUTION: Conflict of Interest.

Seek to answer the following questions:

  • Are you choosing it because that is all you/they know about?
  • Has the referral source personally benefited from their suggestion?
  • By who's authority are you deciding that this is the best option?
  • What are the risks if this option does not work or delays others?
  • What are the possibilities that this option will conflict with others?

Who stands to benefit from your following the option?
Benefits include health recovery, financial return, social acknowledgement and prestige, duration (long-term to short-term to intermittent), intensity (how much involvement and how often), awareness (degree of understanding and confidence). Benefits can be for you, others, or both. Some "benefits" may simply be a factor of our laziness or intolerance. Those can become drawbacks.

Q8: Can Balancing Therapy substitute for surgery?

Balancing Therapy cannot undo reality.
If we have been negligent in looking after our health, or have denied knowledge, or have avoided Spiritual Guidance --- we must cope with the outcome. Balancing enables us to cope better. By eliminating negative and reactionary patterns of response to our circumstances, it frees us to consider, and allows us to naturally follow the best avenues to recovery.

New Age and other non-spiritual, pseudo-spiritual, or anti-spiritual approaches to cure suggest that by the use of magic we can control the universe and God. If we take a drug specified by an expert, we will be cured. That expert could be an herbalist, priest, doctor, black magic or white magic witch, or some other healer who may use deception or superstition. Something worked before for someone else who appeared to have the same symptoms, so, it should work for you also.

Balancing therapy accesses the Unconscious mind of the individual, first.
By doing so, it can release energy blocks resulting from traumatic experiences.
It thus frees us to be more aware of the great number of options we have and allows us to consider them seriously. If we choose to develop our natural spiritual expressiveness of our Identity, we can extend our muscle testing techniques through biofeedback and/or visualization to convey Spiritual Guidance to us. Or, we can, with balancing therapy more easily develop other means of receiving Spiritual Guidance.

Spiritual Guidance will provide you with the best option given your skill development, your awareness, the urgency of the situation, the assistance available, and the tools and resources at hand. Sometimes, that will mean that surgery is the best alternative. If you come to the table after everyone else has finished eating and without notice that you would arrive, you cannot, except in Ego fantasy and SuperEgo rationalization expect to have a feast. That is what a remedy or cure without surgery sometimes is in reality. If you don't want the surgery, don't be last to the table.
