Adrenal Fatigue

Adrenal Fatigue is reappearing
as a major cultural influence in the 21st century. Once well understood and effectively diagnosed as an outcome of life-threatening viral epidemics, economic depression overwork, and wartime shock --- it now goes largely denied and ignored by North American doctors with short attention spans. Commonly referred to as "Burnout", its potential influence on career, health, lifestyle, and marriage can be devastating.

Activity patterns tend to develop with adrenal fatigue which aggravate sleep patterns and contribute to chronic tiredness through interrupted sleep. Such a person will often be a late riser and wish to sleep past 10:00 a.m. By late afternoon, they will again be fatigued and find it difficult to do work or maintain a focused attention. After eating, they will then regain their mental clarity and physical energy and stay up late into the evening. For most people, this routine presents conflict with their occupational demands.

Lowered efficiency can lead to demotions, layoffs, business failures, and terminations. None of this is a result of a lack of skill, ability, or motivation. Material aspects of lifestyle tend to conflict with decreasing income and substance and behavioral dependencies may be entered in an attempt to stabilize the sleep/awake pattern and counter the inevitable emotional depression that results from decreasing physical and mental performance. This only intensifies and makes more acute the adrenal fatigue. Weight gain, low self-esteem, work and substance addiction are likely singular or combined results.

There are 3 forms of Adrenal Fatigue which will be described here.

Short-term self-induced adrenal fatigue occurs when a person uses obsessive and excessive activity as an extension of energy blocks or imprinting. Continued activity beyond the norm may be the extension of impatience, perfectionism, rejection, or other patterns. The individual does not feel satisfied until they have completed a task which exceeds a healthy activity and waking period. They may use stimulants, cold temperatures, physical shock, anger, paranoia, shame or desire to utilize every bit of available energy. In the end, with the task complete, they can relax, although their Reptilian Structure is now in conflict with the daylight/active - night/rest circadian rhythms. If temporary, the pattern may readjust back to normal in a few days. Jet lag is an example.

Moderate-term event-induced adrenal fatigue can occur when one experiences emotional shock, a severe accident, surgery, a viral infection, physical assault, negative drug interaction, an amoebic parasitic attack, or alcoholic hangover. These can temporarily disable a person by closing their consciousness, demanding the attention of their Reptilian Structure, and exchanging physical energy for immune response energy. Extended and uninterrupted rest is often a most effective way of coping with this form and recovery is often made in a period of hours, days, or weeks.

Longer-term chronic adrenal fatigue is often the result of continued severe physical, emotional, or spiritual demands being made on the individual. Multiple severe attacks against the immune system may begin with a specific factor which applies a generalized influence, such as heavy metals. A continuing, or acute exposure to pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or other very toxic substances will increasingly distract and disable the immune system. Energy block induced obsessiveness can result in self-abuse resulting from internal need for acceptance.

Parasitic bacteria, fungi, virus, worms, and other destructive lifeforms, usually minimized by a strong immune system, will now proliferate. This adds more demands to one's Reptilian Structure, which becomes weaker with increasing speed. Once the significant contributing factors have been addressed, getting rid of the accumulated additional stresses and rebuilding, at least in part, the adrenal and other interdependent organs may take months or years. If recovery is not attempted and made with some success, the group of chronic illnesses may persist and worsen until death results.

A long, constructive, and satisfying life can be achieved with physical pacing and stability. While energy block accumulations frequently sabotage this, as do some imprinted patterns, materialistic and authoritarian cultures tend to mandate it of their obedient and obsessive adherents. Modern commercialized and over-competitive environments demand robot-like subservience and aggressiveness from those chosen to participate. Big money, big risk, and short attention spans increasingly lead to early deaths or long periods of chronic illness.

If caring doctors in ineffective bureaucracies don't kill you with dangerous and inappropriate prescriptions, a hospital with nosocomal bacteria or virus is likely to. Most chronic illness is not covered by disability insurance. The economic winners are the corporations, government, the consumer, and, perhaps your estate. They maximize their profits, minimize their retirement costs (tax income/pension payout), purchase more for a lower cost, and, increase their material wealth, IF, your production is high and duration is short.

Modern cultural origins of this reappearance, and reaction, include these:

      1. lack of respect/reverence;
      2. excessive materialism;
      3. incessant demands & deadlines;
      4. complexity of lifestyle;
      5. negative self-image imprinting;
      6. energy block accumulation;
      7. numbing out to avoid the above;
      8. over-mothering, over-control;
      9. spurious decisions to save time;
      10. food additives to preserve foods;
      11. misprescribing of drugs;
      12. reactive decision-making;
      13. air and water pollution;
      14. super-competitive employment.

NONE of the above need to have persisted and grown IF high taxes were not necessary to maintain the military-industrial complex and ineffective and authoritarian medical and dental systems. The public have successfully been bought through the mass media presentation of the self-centered, highly materialistic, fantasy of efficiency images broadcast to them for decades --- while parents were largely absent or preoccupied with their social and business involvements. It is the same lack of respect that leaves no time for quality relationships, ecological harmony, and international peace.

The Catch-22 of modern society and health is that in order to afford the environment that can maintain your health, you have to accept working conditions which destroy it. We have created an ecological environment of pollution which leaves health enhancing regions remote and scarce. We have destroyed our soil integrity, spiced our air and water with hundreds of thousands of chemicals, and so diminished the nutritional value of both our fresh and processed foods --- that health can only be maximized by purchasing high cost unique food replacements and constructing personal cocoons to live in.

Historical personalized origins:

      1. physical trauma/accident;
      2. excessive exercise/exhaustion;
      3. emotional abuse & abandonment;
      4. pregnancy during poverty;
      5. chemical toxins/exposure;
      6. heavy metals accumulation;
      7. unsuitable diet/malnutrition;
      8. invasive viral infections;
      9. destructive drug interactions;
      10. intestinal worm burden;
      11. systemic fungal attack;
      12. endocrine organ parasites;
      13. perfectionism;
      14. extended acute grief;
      15. major surgery;
      16. refined carbohydrates/sugars.

Interrelationships often develop between the above factors.
With the immune system compromised by one or two factors, it is a short step to the addition of others. Escalation of complexity continues as long as we are ignorant, lack proactivity, remain subservient to the false authority structures, and remain driven. Driving fast with blinders on in a busy city is a sure invitation to injury of oneself and others. Leave the direction for your life to the decisions of others, and others will decide for you according to what will benefit their life the most. Often, that benefit is how much you can do for them and how little you ask of them.

Our progressive society has mandated that doctors and therapists define our ailments as quickly as possible and treat them as directly (simply) as possible. In the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, the medical care system encourages the doctor to provide a diagnosis in 30 seconds. They are encouraged to treat ONE symptom at a time. Most patients have a total lack of self-awareness and would not be able to provide a list of symptoms they are experiencing unless provided with a listing of common symptoms and given time to assess it. Every symptom can be an indicator of 1 to 40 different health ailments. Some of those require opposing treatments. Many require multiple supplements and many of the owners could benefit from some understanding of what they have. Feedback from others suggests that the situation is little different anywhere in North America.

If the accuracy of a chronic illness diagnosis depends upon the quality of the tests taken, the quality of the intake interview, the quality of the examination of the subject, and, the quality of the patient feedback --- Quality is only available to the rich and informed. If you want Efficiency and Effectiveness, you will need accuracy. With a chronic illness syndrome, a $2 test is useless. I have been told by numerous doctors that the 2003/2005 healthcare system discourages tests costing more than $12. Quality testing to accurately define the parameters of the selection of illness may require multiple tests with each costing well over $100. If you don't have money, and you don't have Spiritual Guidance nor know how to accurately muscle test --- you will likely die before recovering.

Quality of medical diagnosis could be improved greatly if the intake interview were actually focused and 45 minutes rather than 30-60 seconds! That is, if YOU knew something about your health history and could comprehensively outline the breadth of your current symptoms, and, the doctor Listened. Many misprescriptions result from the doctor ignoring the wisdom of their patient and by the use of spurious associations in which the Appearance of a common disease is adequate to confirm its presence. That is why tens of thousands of patients die EVERY year under the care of their doctors -- from recoverable conditions!

How can any system be efficient when you wait days to see a General Practitioner who repeatedly hustles you off to one specialist after another, with monthly waiting periods between each -- only to have each complain that YOUR symptoms are outside of their field, or, that what you have is unknown because it isn't in their few journals. These are not isolated nor personal experiences alone. If I ran a business this way, I would be bankrupt in a month.

Having an adrenal deficiency for life may arise from inherited energy block load, excessive adrenal demands while in the womb (often leading to miscarriage/premature birth), Basic Personality factor of aggressiveness/action, destructive imprinting, constant political turmoil, untreated chronic and endemic illness (i.e. parasites), misdiagnosed and maltreated illness symptoms, body accumulation of heavy metals and chemicals. Energy blocks can be released. Heavy metals can be chelated out. Imprinting can be reframed, sometimes with great difficulty. Other factors may be beyond personal choice. Coping equals building in positive stresses such as strengthening foods and supplements.

Accepting a short-term adrenal deficiency may be a choice taken where the survival of self or, others you care about, demands continual high levels of stress and change. After I began providing Balancing Therapy, I saw the tremendous health and relationship benefits which others gained on a daily basis. Soon, I was as busy as I had the time for, all by referral. With both the preparation time and the session durations consuming most of my day, I soon had a choice of rest, or, exercise. I chose rest. Had I chosen exercise, the destructive stress level would have remained the same. Providing the sessions yield great positive stress to me as well as results which I could sometimes use for personal health maintenance.

Many of the above strengthening options were indicated for me by Spiritual Guidance, especially during those three times when I was coping with and recovering from mercury poisoning. They were also indicated during recoveries from intestinal worm and Candida parasitic infestations. Some of these foods and supplements had proven beneficial for my health during the decades before I gained accurate Spiritual Guidance and assisted in my maintaining moderately good health through long periods of overwork and overcommitment. You have a CHOICE to cope even if you choose not to change.

Weakening foods and supplements:

      • alcohol (chemical);
      • stimulants (overactivity);
      • tobacco (toxins);
      • red meat (iron);
      • fried foods (high calorie);
      • overuse of ephedra;
      • molasses (iron);
      • tomatoes (iron);
      • refined foods (poor nutrition);
      • table salt (devoid of mineral mix).

Tomatoes can benefit the adrenals by maintaining a physical system free of destructive parasites. As they are also a high source of iron, they can aggravate the adrenals and act as a precursor to chronic illnesses and cancers when they contribute to iron overload in adults. Combining them with milk proteins, raw spinach, moderate tea or coffee, uncooked grains or hemp hearts, and fiber will lessen the iron uptake. Avoid combining tomatoes with fruit juices, meats, gluconates, amino acid and B12 supplements -- as these will increase the iron absorption.

Strengthening supplements frequently are anti-parasitics, hormone sources, supports for other organs, and heavy metal chelators. Foods which weaken the adrenals are those which encourage excessive cell growth in adults (iron), those which increase the presence of heavy metals and toxic chemicals, and, those which maximize calories and minimize nutrition. Determining what and when and how much is of optimum benefit for YOUR health cannot be rationalized. It is currently impossible (2005) to personally and accurately monitor the nutritional requirements of the over 360 interacting systems in the human body. Get smart. Learn accurate muscle testing or accurate access to Spiritual Guidance.

Alcohol has been found to increase the absorption of iron. This encourages iron toxicity and the development of chronic illnesses and cancer. At the same time, alcohol is quite detrimental to the liver and its functions, which support the adrenals. Alcohol, and many of the weakening agents, encourages the development of mutated Candida and its proliferation. The development of systemic Candida infestations, which themselves manufacture alcohol, can result in cirrhosis of the liver, even in long-term abstainers! Excessive iron is known to encourage mutations and cancers. This is complicated by the fact that mercury, when present, tends to replace iron. This can rob your cells of oxygen and place great demands on your liver, lungs, and, adrenals.

My own survival through 3 acute exposures to mercury was partly benefited by my choice to avoid tobacco (after 1 year of minimal use in my teens), to abstain from alcohol consumption (after a 2 year minimal use for social reasons during my mid-20s), and to minimize my meat intake after age 35 (because I found that without it I had no joint and muscle aches). In spite of being born with a predilection to adrenal fatigue, diagnosed as acute only once (following a severe auto accident and a third severe whiplash injury, after a sudden recovery from an acute 6-month infection). I eventually determined that I was iron anemic AND adrenal fatigued after releasing my third dose of mercury poisoning and clearing my lymph system. The older you become, the more complex your health can become.

TREATMENTS advocated for Adrenal Recovery:

      1. release of energy blocks;
      2. prayer, meditation, Spiritual Guidance;
      3. repatterning of destructive imprinting;
      4. assertive communication skills;
      5. autogenic and hypnotic relaxation techniques;
      6. Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga;
      7. active or passive aerobic exercise;
      8. cool to moderate temperatures;
      9. removal of heavy metals;
      10. removal of chemical residues;
      11. chiropractic adjustments;
      12. acupuncture/acupressure;
      13. clearing of blood and lymph systems;
      14. metabolic typing or blood typing nutrition;
      15. strengthening of other organs;
      16. iron detoxification;
      17. encouraging positive attitudes.

Treatments which rebuild and maintain the adrenals tend to remove physical depressants (toxic metals and chemicals), clear the lymph and circulation systems (so that cell and immune system debris can be excreted), remove energy blocks and rebalance the energy meridians (to reduce physical and emotional over-exertion), provide rest and relaxation periods (for rebuilding of energy and hormone reserves), and improve one's nutritional sources for greater efficiency.

The Adrenal glands are intended to provide hormones which are utilized on an intermittent basis. In addition, they are capable of providing bursts of energy during emergencies which demand speed and/or strength to minimize injury or threat. When these functions are demanded on a constant basis, the glands become exhausted and begin to deteriorate. With this destruction, their ability to continue to produce hormones and energy lessens. Functions dependent upon energy are forced to be reduced or abandoned. Functions dependent upon hormones tend to become available on an erratic and undependable basis.

The typical rest time for sleep is at night.
It has long been known that rest can be an excellent healer. What is not as well known is that it is typically during the night that the adrenals devote their energies to immunity rather than physical action and interactive survival initiative of flight or fight, joining in and the satisfaction of nutritional needs. This is also the time at which the heart and digestive systems typically deactivate to their lowest levels of activity. With all of this quiet, it is also the time at which a compromised immune system is most vulnerable to parasitic attack and growth. The strongest immune period in times of health can become the weakest in times of chronic illness.

Flexibility of habit can be a benefit when one has adrenal fatigue PLUS a number of stress inducing other chronic illness factors. Survival can be enhanced if one reverses the awake/sleep periods. By remaining physically and/or mentally active during the night, one stimulates the heart into moderate activity as well as the digestive system. As an active brain may use as much as 80% of the oxygen uptake and calorie burn of a body at rest, internal activity is raised enough to restrain parasitic activity. Flexibility indicates that you are aware of, accepting, and working with the reality of your illness. Denial is prideful and foolish and demands greater illness.

Working during these hours frequently places one in a position of minimal human contact. This further reduces the potential for stress arising from miscommunications, anger, abuse, and the depression of having someone else point out or witness one's lowered efficiencies. With self-direction and persistence one can make the transition within a few days, as long as stimulants and high energy foods are not used to bridge, and delay, the repatterning.

Most of the pages on Earthtym were researched, composed and coded during the midnight to 9:00 a.m. period at times when I was too chronically ill to maintain regular daytime working hours. Whenever that was attempted, it usually turned out as a disaster. Working during the day, with adrenal fatigue, mercury poisoning, and systemic parasites -- often resulted in physical fatigue within 1 to 3 hours. Focus was then lost along with mental alertness. The period of exhaustion might last a few hours, or, the next 10 hours. You can only reschedule and postpone so many times and remain professional. Sickness is not an option in the service or production industries. Undependability means the job or the client go elsewhere.

These periods of exhaustion were unpredictable in timing and length. I worked nights only because I was Spiritually Guided to. It was only nearing the end of my recovery when I became aware of the significance of the timing. Working at night enabled me to remain active, contributing, constructive, and much more productive and healthy than if I had tried to maintain culturally acceptable hours. Those would have added strain to my already severely weakened adrenals and other organs, and, enabled further and faster destruction of those systems by parasites when all of my defences were allowed to fall low. Illness progression can sometimes be slowed, or reversed, by assuming behaviors which would be unhealthy for a healthy body.

The Tortoise and Hare fable and the Little Engine that Could fable both provide relevant considerations for adrenal health. The successful tortoise maintained an even pace which never distracted it from its focus nor exhausted it from overactivity. The hare lost because in its rush, it quickly used up its energy, became distracted, and had to take an unplanned rest to recuperate. The Little Engine had a large hill to climb. Rather than projecting the amount of effort and the degree of difficulty and wasting energy on fear and depression and insecurity --- it chugged along and kept focused on taking one step at a time and acknowledging its achievement as it went rather than only judging success by the end result. It took pleasure in the doing.

Save your Adrenals, and you Save your Choices.

A Fast and Forced Life is built on discontent.

Discontent may arise from ignorance or irrelevancy.

Discontent leads to self-obsessiveness and illness.

A Contented Life is an Enjoyed, Shared & Paced Experience.

Comment

A great self-deception is to have acquired adrenal fatigue from one set of factors, understood it, treated it, avoided duplicating the original set of factors, and, reacquired it from a different set of factors --- and ignore and deny it because you thought you had already resolved it!

IF you are motivated, action-oriented, aggressive, and self-directed -- either as an expression of your Basic Personality --- repetitive expressions of adrenal fatigue are possible.

IF you are driven, obsessive, and falsely aggressive and competitive because of the influence of authoritarian imprinting, or, energy block attitude and behavior addiction --- repetitive expressions of adrenal fatigue are likely.

Adrenal fatigue WILL make recovery from a combined chronic illness scenario extremely more difficult for it will destructively influence all other physical and biochemical systems in your body. That is, recovery will be slower, if you are to recover at all, than if it were not present.

Steady and consistent adrenal strain will encourage the development of depression and will weaken and challenge one's immune system.

Acute adrenal fatigue will induce sexual impotency, digestive dysfunction, and will contribute to the development of cancers.

Any chronic illness will impose a strain upon your adrenal function through the efforts of the immune system to effectively do its function and the weaknesses of other organs receiving injury from parasites, chemicals, heavy metals, or physical distress from overuse. Multiple chronic illnesses and/or a Fuireria presence WILL lead to adrenal exhaustion. This is particularly evident if you choose to remain in denial about your health, or, do not have the resources to cope with your temporary weakness and enhance you health in an optimum manner.

Viruses are a particular note here.
A virus may seem to change your Circadian Rhythms and sleep patterns.
IF you persist in trying to work during the day when your Reptilian Structure is telling you it does not want to, you may find your sleep disturbed and your body increasingly weakened by poor sleep until you reach exhaustion. There are a number of reasons why this may be happening. It is known that certain intestinal worms and specific destructive bacteria are most active during the night due to lunar influence and assisted by the usual lack of physical activity of the subject. Fungi are always more invasive during periods of inactivity of the subject. Inactivity is NOT the trigger for virus stimulation.

Emotional stress is a common trigger for all viruses and this often accompanies exposure to many people, whether in person, or by phone. If you are already trying to address the onslaught of several chronic illness sources against your cells, you may already be expressing symptoms of energy loss and distraction: loss of attention, anxiety, short-tempered, foggy brain. Unless you are an expert with assertive communication, maintaining your center, accessing and using Spiritual Guidance, and, knowing your limits --- you will likely be drawn into situations that encourage confusion, intolerance, and error. This acting out does NOT help your employment but it does help drive others away from you and reduce the potential stress load. You could pick up viruses from an infected phone but it is more likely that you will only pick up the stress of miscommunication.

Herpes viruses provide an example of a virus which can be most active during the daylight hours. Ultraviolet light is a known trigger for herpes viruses and during daylight hours, this solar radiation penetrates through cloud and glass. The use of tanning beds and solar lamps contribute to the stimulus. If you already have multiple chronic illnesses, and one herpes virus, you may find that the herpes symptoms are activated and coincident with your sun exposure. Since herpes viruses are Very easily communicable, especially by touch and through intimacy, it should not be surprising that MOST North Americans are infected with one or more from an early age. If you are in close contact with someone who has an obvious herpes virus and you never have the symptoms yourself, you are a likely carrier. As these viruses tend, increasingly, to be passed on from parent to child, many adults in 2005 are carrying at least 3 of the 7 herpes viruses.

It will become increasingly difficult to work during the day if you continually experience some forms of severe herpes symptoms during that time: sinus inflammation (not congestion), headaches, muscle and joint aches, swollen neck glands, sore inflamed spleen, tiredness, anxiety, mouth soreness, indigestion, chest pressure, eyesight irregularities, chills, fever. Some of these symptoms may be extensive, on a personal basis, and the number present will vary from person to person and day to day. You may not have most of the symptoms. They may change so dramatically from one experience to another that you think you are sick from something else. Once activated, the symptoms may last for several days or up to several weeks. This will also vary from outbreak to outbreak. Once infected, the only way to AVOID reactivating a virus is to minimize one's negative stresses.
