PREFACE
This page is an example of how one can take the original description of the spiritual Principle addressed by the specified Bach Flower Remedy noted in the reference, at the bottom of this page, and reframe it into a learning tool to assist you to build a new coping skill --- a constructive attitude and behavior pattern.
The description in the book is BEST for a person who has the energy block or is going through a session to release that block. The description by Scheffer is largely of what a destructive attitude and pattern of the spiritual Principle would be like if one had this particular type of energy block. That description enables awareness to increase and allows the Reptilian Structure to more inclusively bring together the components of the block concerned, when indicated, so that it can be released.
AFTER the energy block is gone, one May still find it helpful to counter the still present IMPRINTING that has also been imposed on the Identity by the person's environment. This is NOT always the case. Only about 37% of my clients would benefit from this. Only 11% (usually the more intense) NEED this benefit to make their improvement assured and hopeful against an environment that encourages the negative Principle.

ASPEN relates to Fearlessness, Overcoming, Resurrection, Confidence.
Constant shielding of one's Personal Spirit from the negative energies of others, OR, from the negative influence of their own Ego (personal values) or SuperEgo (social values) identifying with AND assuming, by Projection, the sabotaging behaviors and anxieties of other persons -- is NOT needed by persons in this positive state.
An awareness and acceptance of a boundary of separateness and individuality between self and others by a person in the positive Aspen state enables Personal experiences (Ego), patterns of emotional response/reaction (Unconscious/Reptilian Structure), and the Imprinting influence of fairy tales, symbolic ideas, archetypes, superstitions, gender-nationalist-religious norms and stereotypes (generalized assumptions of the SuperEgo) to be held within and apart from others.
Ownership of one's own responsibilites and experiences and opportunities for choice are neither confused with similar ones of others (who have different resources and Basic Personalities) nor projected onto others in the form of SHOULDs or attempts to OWN the challenges of others and impose one's own values and choices on them.
Negative ASPEN energies are encouraged when parents and caregivers are imprinted with, or traumatized by their own or the experience of a hereditary other (energy block transference) of abandonment. They tend to overparent by making decisions for others which they were either previously prevented from making for themselves, or, which were imposed on them, against their wishes -- through an authoritarian, manipulative, and emotionally abusive pattern of justifying coercion as "love", caring, and responsibility.
The evidence of traumatic impact from authoritarian sources is revealed through the negative energy characteristics of persistent and undefined fears and anxieties expressed through insomnia, nightmares, constant muscle tension, stomach nervousness, and an obsession in helping and doing for others. The general tone of the negative Aspen influenced person is one of constant fear of being rejected by anyone for being guilty of not doing what is projected as expected of one. Their life seems to be a coercion from within to perform out of duty without respect for oneself.
An attitude of persecution by a domineering god is indicative of the negative Aspen state. Failures, disappointments and setbacks are perceived as a method of god taking active revenge in penalizing those who fail to obey the will of god. Such persons complain frequently of their losses, repeat the same patterns of error in denial of their own responsibility, and see their often selfish interference in the lives of others as caring rather than imposition. They drive away persons of positive self-esteem who become defensive to their subtle judgementalism. They attract others of low self-esteem who willingly become dependent worshippers of their new master. They expect that forgiveness is given simply by following a ritual magical request for it without any expectation of change and responsibility for their actions being taken.
An attitude of resurrection and humility towards a just God who is compassionate yet stable in values and encouraging and acknowledging by constant presence is radiated by the person in the positive Aspen state. Such a person takes ownership of their errors and weaknesses, regrets their pride in not requesting Spiritual Guidance, and seeks to ever improve and learn new discernment, skills, and awareness from the separation between the wastefulness and destructiveness of their mistakes and the efficiency and benefit of decisions made with the support of Spiritual Guidance. They recognize that forgiveness is only spiritually relevant when sincere regret is expressed. They know from their following of Spiritual Guidance that God only wants the best for them, ever available when they are ready to accept it.
An awareness of and contentment in the reverence of the Power of Love and the divine law that the Grace, Forgiveness, and Support of God is always available to one through the medium of their Higher Self and in the form of Spiritual Guidance brings inner strength to the positive Aspen character. Their emotional and spiritual openness is tempered constantly by their choice to ask for, receive, and follow Spiritual Guidance. This presence of divine mentoring acts to limit personal tendencies to project learned fears and experiences of past distress onto the realities of the Present.
An inability to make accurate, or any, contact with one's Higher Self can be the influence of the greatly preoccupying negative Aspen state. Fear denies reverence and hyper-rationalization denies the state of no-emotion. Definite spiritual dangers may prove attractive to such individuals who in their often apprehensive and inner states of fear may seek the magic (promise of control of god) of superstitions (associations by way of impatience, fear, and insecurity) and New Age and Occult (rationalized projections of denial) in attempts to reach an experience of peace and acceptance.
ALL of these negative Aspen directions are effective is BLOCKING one's accurate access to Spiritual Guidance. They teach or build upon the premise that god is NOT accessible directly (abandonment) and that god only listens when something or someone intervenes to force acknowledgement (reversed coercion through manipulation). Modifying these negative spiritual realities of perception and attitude can be made more difficult than the reframing of other negative potentials for they are often supported by BOTH energy blocks and Imprinted patterns of reaction.
Developing and maintaining a Positive ASPEN spiritual potential can be assisted by choosing to experience reverence building realities. Many of these involve solitary (quiet) experience of nature in a safe yet emotionally and intellectually stimulating environment. Gardening, hiking, tours of museums and art galleries, planetarium shows, sunbathing, SCUBA diving, Tai Chi, sculpting and pottery making --- and other forms of "active" meditation (involvement-reflection, unhurried-undemanding) can be beneficial. These CAN be realities in which one can safely lower one's defenses and acknowledge one's spiritual acceptance and respect through the ever present aspects of life energies and natural beauty and individuality present around them.
Persons who have lived the negative potential of ASPEN, betray hidden Basic Personality elements which were intended to be powerful positive Influences yet have been redirected. A strong Spiritual trait has been polluted by energy blocks and imprinting into a weakness expressed as Fear, Despair, and Guilt. Released and reframed into the positive, these will become Courage, Hope, and Forgiveness -- strong qualities supporting Love.
