CLEMATIS relates to the soul quality of Creative Idealism.
Persons who have self-control and self-awareness over their imagination and an ability to integrate it into reality through innovation and creativity are in the Clematis state. Such persons bring a greater awareness of the beauty around us to the rest of us through their sensitivity. Frequently, they are healers, artists, and actors. They believe that the future will bring better times and that present difficulties will be surpassed and future opportunities will be realized.
Joy, sadness, or physical circumstances may distract one from the present and result in a negative Clematis state. With the present either overlaid with over-optimism to result in an imaginative view of the future, or, clouded by difficulties which seem so confusing that one consciously denies them -- the negative Clematis person seeks escape into the future. The difficulty is that the work required in the present to assure a more positive future, or, a continuation of the positive present into the future -- is avoided, or denied. This can lead to a loss of what is hoped for, and, eventual depression. Obsessive sadness over losses can lead to further losses when present opportunities for Joy are discouraged, denied and rejected. Joy happens where there is action, joining in, sharing, encouragement, acknowledgement.
Coping with a longer-term Clematis state, when present as a strength of one's Basic Personality, or, as an energy block, requires one to use self-awareness and self-direction. One must first of all recognize the nature, then the danger, and finally the benefits of the Clematis state and pace the exchange between positive and negative expressions of the state. Creative activities often result in periods during which the Ego (Personal values and preferences) of an individual must override the perspectives of one's SuperEgo (Social standards and expectations). The individual must take a stand for what they FEEL and hope that their sensitivity is an extension of a significant number of other persons who are less expressive yet appreciative of acknowledgement through the reflection of the Clematis style person.
Over-sensitivity is a danger which can result in a dumbing out, confusion, denial, dreaminess, and lack of awareness and acknowledgement of others. Lost in one's inner world of intellect and spirit, present contributions necessary to maintain a positive direction, or, change to a positive direction, are not realized. Healers, investigators, and scientists may be so dominated by projected expectations in their work that they miss obvious truths which are in a different direction of thought, and, continually fail in their efforts to resolve problems or share revelations. An artist may be so idiosyncratic and eccentric that the audience that appreciates their work is too small to afford them a practical living. Unyielding in their assumptions and compulsive in their applications they may waste great amounts of effort and resources for lack of sensitivity to the outer world and the changes which have transformed the past into the present.
Great creativity and a persistence through temporary setbacks, delays, and periods of lack of support and acknowledgement to a realization of success, can also result from the sensitivity of the state. Healers are often required to do tests, interviews, session preparations, research, and provide prescriptions and encouragement to others before seeing their efforts transformed into recovering, well, and happy patients and clients. Artists must often begin with sketches, prototypes, experimental collections and expressions of their feelings and concerns -- before, finding a form, color, sound, or other modality which others can identify with and cherish, admire, or seek to possess. Actors may refine their power of communication through many years of varied experiences and increasing awareness before being recognized "overnight" as a "star". Belief in oneself and one's Mission is critical for during these periods of development there are often few who provide acknowledgement and one may doubt one's own capabilities from time to time.
Maintaining a Positive Clematis attitude is made more possible by the inclusion of the following methods of centering in which the fantasy, imagination, and projection which one has is tempered by a frequent reconnection with the reality of the present, and, history.
- Determine your Basic Personality strengths;
- Recognize the nature, dangers and benefits of the state;
- Become aware of history and the patterns of reality;
- Periodically review the news of your and related interests;
- Clearly access Spiritual Guidance often to confirm truths.
Look for the deeper meanings that provide a greater understanding of the often multiple factors which contribute to the reality which we are concerned about. If you do not understand and sympathize with that which you hate (dislike continuously), you will have no constructive and spiritually acceptable manner of effecting a positive influence for change. At best, you will then make no difference. At worst, you will intensify a disliked pattern into a hated pattern by adding fear and defensiveness to the equation through force and imposition. Taking for granted something you love (like to be around or continually experience) will often encourage that lifeform to look elsewhere for acknowledgement and recognition; unmaintained machines will fail and gluttony will destroy your health.
The truly creative person continually experiences Joy in the marvels of the Creator of all life and matter. Such a person seeks contact with the Spirit of that Creator through clear access to Spiritual Guidance (Holy Spirit) and receives revelations with an awareness of Grace. They believe in themselves from an awareness that by the fact of their very living, God has expressed a belief and confidence in them. They seek to communicate these revelations to others so that the Joy and Peace which they experience may be shared by others. It is the separation (Evil) which the present, and past, physical and political realities have from this unity, order, harmony, and peace -- spoken of as Spiritual Love -- which the positive Clematis person seeks to encourage others to become aware of and share with still greater numbers of others. Once the separation is acknowledged, movement TOWARDS the more constructive alternatives can be chosen. Positive Clematis seeks to dispel denial of choice and acceptance of Grace in order to bring the freedom to seek and share Love.
