PREFACE
This page is an example of how one can take the original description of the spiritual Principle addressed by the specified Bach Flower Remedy noted in the reference, at the bottom of this page, and reframe it into a learning tool to assist you to build a new coping skill --- a constructive attitude and behavior pattern.
The description in the book is BEST for a person who has the energy block or is going through a session to release that block. The description by Scheffer is largely of what a destructive attitude and pattern of the spiritual Principle would be like if one had this particular type of energy block. That description enables awareness to increase and allows the Reptilian Structure to more inclusively bring together the components of the block concerned, when indicated, so that it can be released.
AFTER the energy block is gone, one May still find it helpful to counter the still present IMPRINTING that has also been imposed on the Identity by the person's environment. This is NOT always the case. Only about 37% of my clients would benefit from this. Only 11% NEED this benefit to make their improvement assured and hopeful against an environment that encourages the negative Principle. Usually, these are INTENSE people.

ELM relates to the principle of Responsibility.
A person who fully identifies with his or her Mission, assumes responsibility easily, copes well in most instances, and is of great ability typifies the Positive Elm style. They are often in leadership, managerial, or professional roles.
A temporary lagging in personal awareness can result in the Elm character expending too much of their resources and falling into the negative state. At such times, their Ego (Personal values) and SuperEgo (Social standards) have taken such pleasure from their involvements that they have slipped into focusing on the activities which return acknowledgement and lost contact with Spiritual Guidance through their Higher Self. Having taken on too much, not kept others adequately involved, and over-extended their physical and mental resources, they now begin to feel overwhelmed and inadequate.
To restore oneself to a Positive Elm state, one is best to re-establish contact with one's Higher Self and access Spiritual Guidance to determine how best to reinvigorate one's efforts and projects. Delegation may be required if others are to be kept interested and involved in the projects at hand. For effectiveness and efficiency as well as a safeguard against the illness or primary involvements of other staff, the Elm style of personality will do best to keep other individuals informed and updated about the project at hand. Their awareness, concern, and increasing skill level will provide insurance in case of a temporary business or health absense taken by the Elm person.
It may be remembered that God only asks of us what we are capable of. To find ourselves under too much push and activity for longer than one can bear, is to find one's Identity perspectives exercising too much pride and not remaining humble enough to easily and freely receive Spiritual Guidance. This distorted perspective is likely to only be temporary, yet distressing. Ensuring that one take adequate rest breaks, plan for reduced conflicts and frustrations, and, re-examine one's own personal health to maintain illness prevention and team harmony will lessen the distress that is raised by a slide into the negative Elm state.
