PREFACE
This page is an example of how one can take the original description of the spiritual Principle addressed by the specified Bach Flower Remedy noted in the reference, at the bottom of this page, and reframe it into a learning tool to assist you to build a new coping skill --- a constructive attitude and behavior pattern.
The description in the book is BEST for a person who has the energy block or is going through a session to release that block. The description by Scheffer is largely of what a destructive attitude and pattern of the spiritual Principle would be like if one had this particular type of energy block. That description enables awareness to increase and allows the Reptilian Structure to more inclusively bring together the components of the block concerned, when indicated, so that it can be released.
AFTER the energy block is gone, one May still find it helpful to counter the still present IMPRINTING that has also been imposed on the Identity by the person's environment. This is NOT always the case. Only about 37% of my clients would benefit from this. Only 11% (usually the more intense) NEED this benefit to make their improvement assured and hopeful against an environment that encourages the negative Principle.

LARCH relates to the Soul quality of Self-Confidence.
Self awareness of one's capabilities and abilities and a use of one's full potential is an example of a positive Larch trait. Such a person has tested their knowledge and skill and expanded it continually by interacting with many people in numerous environments and taking an interest in many fields. They know what their limits are from their experiences and are ready and realistic in their sharing.
With relaxed confidence, the person with a positive Larch attitude will consider the alternatives available in any situation of problem or opportunity and quickly discern if and to what degree they can best contribute. One is humble in acknowledging one's limitations yet equally responsive in ways that they have been successful in the past, or, believe there is a good indication that they can be effective in.
An attitude of weakness, impotence, and apathy conceal the personality of the negative Larch influenced person. Perhaps they have only heard criticisms and complaints from their parents and teachers regarding their efforts. Perhaps they have been victim to the class judgements of those who in their own insecurity must berate most other people in order to feel justified their own presence.
Negative Larch persons never seek to exclude others from their little world, only to reduce the reoccurrence of toxic shaming in which others blame them for outcomes of actions and decisions which are less than expected by the other person, yet not less than the abilities of the participant. By opting out of involvement by feebly and with false modesty insisting that they cannot do something --- they effectively escape any satire, as well as compliment, for the job done.
It is often that persons who are intense and perfectionistic or intense and aggressive --- present an image of superiority and untouchability to those around them. Others near them feel rejected and taken for granted for the lack of deserved acknowledgement of their efforts and interests. The dominant parent or participant spreads self-acknowledgement proudly and loudly to fill their need for acceptance. This need is felt through oversensitivity to the attention they would like to have yet do not receive. They are often so self-absorbed in personal self-criticism, a projection of their commanding supervisors --- that they fail to notice those around them.
Encouragement of the negative Larch quality can occur when a child or insecure person --- in the company of someone who expresses an image of power, abandonment (often preoccupied with other THINGS) --- learns through repetitive experience that no matter how they try, they will never be acknowledged. By doing as commanded, they are criticised. By doing what they have confidence or interest in, they are ridiculed for their individuality and lack of experience. It seems that the only time they are acknowledged is when they sabotage the expectations that others have of them by admitting to weakness.
Encouragement of the positive Larch quality can occur when a child or insecure person, in the company of an assertive, compassionate, forgiving, and empathetic person --- learns through consistent experience that even as they fail, they receive encouragement, feedback, and gentle instruction of how they can improve. Assisted to reflect on their performance, they learn to be persistent in their efforts to reach a goal. An acknowledging attitude that respects the individuality of the person and does not push them to do what they highly dislike nor to expect from them what has not been indicative of their past performance --- enables them to evaluate their direction, be realistically flexible, and, develop an inner resource of self-confidence.
Positive Larch persons KNOW that they do not fit the sterotypical pattern descriptions which may apply to many others. They KNOW that the Spiritual Guidance received through their Higher Self will bring the greatest frequency and quality of success to them through the optimum use of their Basic Personality capabilities. It is this self-confidence of direction, which has grown from experiences of success and failure, which enables them to live life to the full by their awareness of opportunities relevant to themselves and the skill to discern the possible from the high risk.
