#32, VINE Remedy, Spiritual Positive,
Authority and Ability to Carry Conviction.

after "Bach Flower Therapy: Theory and Practice"
by Mechthild Scheffer

PREFACE
This page is an example of how one can take the original description of the spiritual Principle addressed by the specified Bach Flower Remedy noted in the reference, at the bottom of this page, and reframe it into a learning tool to assist you to build a new coping skill --- a constructive attitude and behavior pattern.

The description in the book is BEST for a person who has the energy block or is going through a session to release that block. The description by Scheffer is largely of what a destructive attitude and pattern of the spiritual Principle would be like if one had this particular type of energy block. That description enables awareness to increase and allows the Reptilian Structure to more inclusively bring together the components of the block concerned, when indicated, so that it can be released.

AFTER the energy block is gone, one May still find it helpful to counter the still present IMPRINTING that has also been imposed on the Identity by the person's environment. This is NOT always the case. Only about 37% of my clients would benefit from this. Only 11% NEED this benefit to make their improvement assured and hopeful against an environment that encourages the negative Principle. Usually, these are INTENSE people.

VINE relates to Authority and Ability to Carry Conviction.

A person with above-average leadership qualities who is very capable, ambitious, and sharp in will and presence of mind, and who is usually successful and victorious over challenges, yet also realizes that aggressive qualities are only required in emergency situations --- portrays the positive Vine state. They use their powerful potential with reference to the Spiritual Guidance they receive from their Higher Self and in this way avoid the sabotaging waste that will come from disrespect for one's own Identity perspectives or for other people.

The imperious dictatorial leader who imposes on self and others with firm and forceful rules and militaristic precision is more the example of a negative Vine type. Setting standards, values, beliefs, or expectations as unquestioned gods in their involvements, the negative Vine person becomes such a disciplinarian that once relevant options and choices are applied in irrelevant present situations. Their Ego (personal desires) and/or immature SuperEgo (social standards) have earlier tasted power and have now become addicted to it.

Weaker soul states including those of Centaury, Pine, Mimulus, or Larch often appear with Vine such that Vine has been used to compensate for them in a short-term urgency, and then, kept on afterwards as an immaturity or lack of discipline of the more materialistic perspectives of Ego or SuperEgo. Success has been sweet, and they intend to control the future so that only success can be experienced. What they have not discerned is that people, including themselves, are NOT machines, and that people come to hate others who show them no respect. A general with no troops is no general!

Negative Vine states may be imposed within through excessive demands upon one's Reptilian Structure, Basic Personality, or Personal Spirit -- usually by an immature and greedy SuperEgo, yet sometimes by one's Ego (personal desires). Insistence upon a daily exercise routine, sleep schedule, overtime period, sexual performance, selection of diet, break time, or television show without regard to illness, exhaustion, urgencies, and social responsibilities is likely to lead to PUSH rather than FLOW. Inner tension will build and increased anxiety, frustration, anger, aggressiveness, impatience, separateness, selfishness, and paranoia will be encouraged.

Positive VINE states can assist in unifying a team, encouraging associates, resolving conflicts, finding solutions, working through difficulties, and taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate both oneself and others. This positive process of joining in, sharing, and contributing often results in the most constructive and timely outcomes that are possible given the abilities of the participants, their resources, and the size and nature of the project involved.

To encourage positive Vine states to develop and be maintained, one can do the following:

    • Look to Spiritual Guidance for self-pacing and awareness;
    • Practice Tai Chi, slowly, to develop a Flow of movement;
    • Acknowledge often the positives which others display;
    • Benefit by inviting yourself to the better ideas of others;
    • Recognize that dictators usually do more harm than good.

The WISE Leader is the one who
helps others to do their best
.

GUIDELINE
If you wish to create your own reframed version of a Bach Remedy spiritual PRINCIPLE description to use for your chosen positive imprinting through repetitive exposure, consider the following.

  • Negative expressions of spiritual states are extremes, not good or bad according to some authoritarian personal election. The positive expression is seldom the opposite of the negative extreme. Look for the difference in context and the improvement in relevancy as an indicator of good choices of words.

  • Personalize your description with words like "I", "She", "My", and others.
EXAMPLES: VINE, Remedy #32
NEGATIVE <--- ---> POSITIVE
extreme willpower <--- ---> altruistic
demanding <--- ---> sharing
aggressive <--- ---> assertive
dictator <--- ---> understanding leader
frightening <--- ---> assisting
inner tension <--- ---> able to delegate
