1. Before the Plunge, consider ...
In considering the FORTY POINTS, note YOUR responsibility in determining WHEN and IF you can safely engage in any of the behaviors noted. Some of the facts are controversial only because social institutions have been responsible for widespread misinformation (ignorance) and disinformation (intentional) often supplied within an authoritarian context of absolute truth for all circumstances ... which is the same as irrelevant conditioning.
THE UPSIDE OF AUTHORITARIANISM has always been a saving in training time, an absence of explanation ("it just is, because I say it is"), and the pride of intolerance and separation from others ("they don't know any better" --- "We're more powerful, richer, freer, stronger, sexier, ... because we ..."). The downside has been a reduction in coping alternatives and balanced health ("It's either this way, or that!"). Further explanation and background to the 40 Basics can be found in the RESOURCES at the end of this section, or, on the pages of this site.
You now have more choices.
2. Averages: What do they mean?
Averages must be taken in relevance.
Averages often mean that the majority of those surveyed have volunteered these figures. The majority can mean a group ranging in size from 51% to 90+% of the total. On the topic of sexuality, there is no practical way in which to confirm the responses of the participants to ANY questionnaire.
There will deception, even in an anonymous questionnaire, some participants will vary their answer according to what they feel should be an average answer (projection). That is, they will be in personal denial from low self-esteem and lack of self-awareness and be unwilling to admit to themselves that their "performance" or "dimensions" are either as low or as high as they are in reality. They may record what they would want their particulars to be.
STATISTICAL IRREGULARITIES, while possible, are often not excessive. The number of volunteers exaggerating their figures out of a sense of shame will often be offset by those minimizing their figures out of a sense of guilt. The benefit, and suggestion of reported averages, is that if you find yourself in this range ... you should not be having any particular difficulties.
If you are a person whose dimensions fall outside a range of averages, then alternative positions and behaviors may be beneficial to you and your partner. The strength of your relationship will always be more important than the matching of your physical characteristics. Relationships fail most often for non-physical reasons.
- Male genital size has long provided identity anxiety for the North American male. Magazines, slang, cultural myths, gossip, and romance novels have long extolled the virtues of the long and large penis. Some women have believed and revere this same characteristic even though their personal experience may prove otherwise to them.
In our performance based society, bigger and more are advertised as better on a daily basis. Such beliefs are promoted with an educating investment of hundreds of millions of dollars each year. Understandably, naive inexperienced boys grow up believing the same particulars about that part of themselves which is supposed to bring ecstasy to a desired partner just by the sight of it! Reality and truth differ from this myth.
MEN with LONGER-THAN-AVERAGE penises have reported difficulties in their intimate relationships stemming from an inability to experience the satisfaction of full penetration during intercourse and to frequently causing pain to their partner by trying to do so. There is not much that can be done for this characteristic. Unusual sexual positions which make full-penetration awkward can allow for full-energy thrusts --- which provide a more satisfying result for both parties.
MEN with a SHORTER-THAN-AVERAGE penis, as small as 2 inches, have reported full satisfaction with their mate by receiving and giving ample pre-intercourse stimulation, choosing particular intercourse positions (i.e. male-on-top with female's legs raised), and, intercourse practices (i.e. anal intercourse). Anxiety, fear, and lack of self-respect all contribute to your negative stress load ... and that encourages immune weakness.
If you don't understand something or are uncomfortable doing it, suggest alternatives to your partner. Find out the facts about the issue with an open mind and a healthy distrust of all self-focused authority representatives. Determine if your fear and hesitancy is relevant. Consider health risks, personal respect values, and spiritual reverence elements. Responsibility for mutual pleasure should be shared by both participants. Sexual activity is most constructive when it encourages a closer sharing of emotion and spirituality between the partners. Destructiveness is introduced when coercion, lack of respect, and obsession are used against yourself or your partner.

Female genital "integrity" can also present concerns or difficulties. While many cultures have developed traditions in which sexual "virginity" and male dominance are both publicly and privately affirmed by the forceful tearing of the female hymen and the subsequent demonstration of bleeding --- such is totally unnecessary.
THE HYMEN is a natural membrane which minimizes the vaginal opening. The womb is like a muscle-formed vase-shaped structure. The vagina provides a short tubular connection between the outer world and the inner womb organ. The hymen is a natural but not permanent closure to the vagina. Without it, air would freely circulate through the canal and into the organ. This would continually act to dry the tissues and encourage them to harden, thicken and possibly crack --- allowing entry of bacteria and other parasites.
WATER CAN ALSO DO DAMAGE.
Water in ponds, streams, lakes, and oceans --- is frequently populated by micro-organism parasites, bacteria, insect eggs, spores, and even viruses. Salt water is extremely acidic, compared to the normal mucous membrane pH. Frequent exposure to very salty water can produce irritation of the surface cells within the vagina, womb, and anus --- providing a tendency for the development of more hardening, thickening, and cracking of the membranes.
CHLORINATED WATER can have the same influence --- drying, hardening, thickening, cracking. This is also why douching solutions should be closely monitored for pH level. A little acidity benefits; too much acidity destroys.
DOES TOUGHNESS = STRENGTH ?
While thickened and toughened skin resists bacterial invasion and abrasions, there are disadvantages. We know that sun-and-wind (weathered) toughened skin is much more susceptible to cancer. Here we are talking about internal organ surfaces which may be exposed to stretching and expansion forces considered extreme for any other skin surface. During pregnancy, the tissues of the womb may be required to expand 100 times their resting state. Even during the usually much more frequent intercourse activity, the vagina may be required to expand 3 to 5 times its resting state. Toughness in this environment = pain.
HOW MUCH PAIN DO YOU WANT ?
The tougher this region of skin, the more pain you will likely have:
- painful menstruation;
- painful engorgement of tissues
when sexually excited;
- painful intercourse;
- itchy genital area;
- nausea during pregnancy;
- burning urine urethritis;
- genital cancers.
ALL OF THE ABOVE CAN BE LESSENED or avoided by the presence of a hymen AND good hygiene AND good diet. None of this is difficult to understand. Your doctor, teacher, and parents should have been able to tell you these things 50 years ago! Practices which avoid the development of such dis-ease are standard in every band-type society which we "civilized" nations have not yet hounded and threatened into near extinction.
HORMONE and PH LEVELS influence membrane safety.
Air carries with it spores and bacteria. The vagina and womb naturally provide a warm and moist enclosure. Variation of the mucous membrane pH level from its immunological strength of acidity to alkalinity also invites parasitic infestation by bacteria and fungal spores.
The use of birth control pills, antibiotics, some food groups which elevate hormone levels (some meats and some herbs), and, some food groups which introduce fungal parasites into the lifesystem (milk, cheeses) all either change the mucal pH level or provide parasites to invade it. An optimum environment for fungal and bacterial invasion is frequently provided unless one or more of the following are undertaken:
- frequent cleansing (remove bacteria & fungi);
- daily changes of undergarments (bacteria);
- avoidance of streams and lakes (bacteria);
- avoidance of swimming pools (chlorine);
- use of tallow and other plugs (exclusion);
- no use of antibiotics (pH level change);
- frequent childbearing (fullness=exclusion);
- no use of birth control pills (pH level change);
- no milk-based dietary products (spores);
- avoidance of basements (spores);
- hymen remains intact (exclusion).
KEEPING THE HYMEN INTACT, from a health standpoint,is important.
For babies and juveniles, it additionally serves to exclude the entry of dirt, parasites and insects in environments where such is a challenge. Yet all of these advantages are lost when "civilization" based on authoritarianism, materialism, and egotism developed. OWNERSHIP replaced commitment. PURENESS replaced trust. EVIDENCE provided public acceptance. To satisfy these three social and materialistic demands, the hymen was sacrificed. Unnecessary tearing of the hymen by a forceful male on one's wedding night ... to be followed by the public display of the blood-stained bedsheets for social acceptance --- is a tradition in some cultures. Sometimes, it seems that health could be more easily maintained without the superstitions and erroneous teachings of "civilization".
PLANNING CAN REPLACE ABUSE where consensual sexual activity is desired between two considerate persons who share some degree of commitment. Once the couple have decided to extend their relationship to include sexual intimacy, the female can perform exercises which gradually stretch and expand her hymen until it can accommodate the genital size of her intended intimate partner.
WAX CANDLES have long been used as one simple non-toxic and non-irritating device. One can begin with a small diameter item and increase in several steps to larger ones. An insertion exercise is best performed in private where one can most easily relax.
FOR LUBRICATION, the participant can use extra virgin olive oil or a specialized high water content gel such as KY-Jelly. Saliva is NOT suggested because it has a high bacterial and enzyme content. Avoid cosmetic cremes as some contain hormones which can do almost permanent damage. Also avoid petroleum jelly and synthetic-based cremes and jellies as these can toughen the membranes. Remember, this is an internal use, not an external one.
SPECIAL NOTE for health conscious & environmentally sensitive persons.
Do NOT use any cosmetic creme EVER on any part of your genitals --- including your vagina, clitoris, nipples, anus, or lips. These all represent potentially highly sensitive tissues. Many cosmetic cremes contain hormones which encourage the sensitization of the region they are applied to. This sensitization often takes the form of growing your current nerve endings and blood capillaries closer to the surface of the skin.
SKIN OVER-SENSITIZATION can occurs when the nerves in the application area both multiply and extend almost to the skin surface. As little as one or two applications to any of the areas mentioned above can result in hypersensitization. That is, during erotic stimulation, even minimally, the area may become so sensitive and engorged that it pains intensely and bleeds. Any further contact or sensual excitement can result in permanent physical damage and scaring. Prevention is to your benefit. After the damage is done, it may take years (!) before the area becomes desensitized to a touch permissible level.

A large vagina is a natural result of childbirth.
The vaginal canal is greatly enlarged during birthing to allow the passage of one or more babies from the womb to the outside world. It will remain oversized unless toned with exercise or hormones. Female mammals, other than "primitive" band-organized humans, are known to often eat some of their afterbirth following birthing. It contains hormones which naturally stimulate the vagina to constrict back to its pre-pregnancy size. This is obviously no longer acceptable in most human cultures, unless camouflaged into pill supplements.
A TONING EXERCISE which any woman can do involves using the same muscles uses to stop one's urine flow during urination. Once, these have been isolated through awareness, they can be exercised in public or private at any hour of the day. Vaginal snugness will return and with it intercourse will be more pleasurable and genital health will be retained with less difficulty. These muscles are normally used by both genders during sexual orgasm. Hemorrhoids for both genders can be reduced and eliminated with this exercise and applications of Vitamin E creme.
- Clitoral size.
The clitoris is the external erogenous fetal origin of the male penis. As the foetus develops a gender, this erogenous organ either develops as a female clitoris or as a male penis. Clitoris sizes have been reported to vary between almost non-existent to erect sizes exceeding 4 inches in length. Averages are relatively small. Some women have a clitoris which is covered by skin, a condition considered normal for many girls. As an adult, if the clitoris remains covered, and, if it is largely insensitive because of this, a woman may elect to have minor surgery done to expose their clitoris.
HERMAPHRODITISM.
A very few individuals are reported to have both male and female genitals.
In extremely rare instances --- recognized as privileged in Eastern customs and evil in Western traditions --- a person with dual genitals has been capable of self-impregnation and a true virgin birth. Western pride, authoritarianism, and ego-centered intellectualization intolerantly declare such to be impossible.
ATTITUDE can replace truth with infantile fear and generate superstitions and myths that breed intolerance. Most powerful cultures restrict individuality in favor of mass homogeneity. For the person with differences in this region, recognize that only openness with a close friend who you are considering as a potential intimate partner can determine whether the person has the tolerance and respect to accept you as your are, or, has some other motive for attraction. Each of us have unique qualities. That uniqueness does neither make them good nor bad.
Above all respect yourself.
- Breast size.
Great amounts of effort, anxiety, and money have been expended in North America by persons attempting to alter their figure to intentionally match a supposed preferred form. Overweight men may develop fatty breasts and can get breast cancer just like women. Some flat-chested men become obsessed with eating and exercising with the intent of becoming bodybuilders with highly muscular chest and other areas. Trying to force one's body into a form with the use of synthetic hormone drugs has become popular, illegal, and unsafe.
ANABOLIC STEROID MISUSE, can contribute to negative mood disorders, testicular atrophy, anti-social emotional aggressiveness, irritability, and, immune deficiencies and hypersensitivities. Healthy muscle development can be enhanced by following a high protein, low carbohydrate diet, and, exercising either intensively OR long --- not both. In either case, one's goal should be to reach a point at which the exercised muscle has reached its maximum pre-failure challenge. Continuance into exhaustion is counter-productive.
OBSESSIVE BEHAVIORS HAVE BEEN LINKED TO POOR SELF-ESTEEM.
Media promoted fashions have been allowed to dictate clothing styles for North American women for decades. Cultural acceptance for women and men has largely been tied to marriage for many centuries. When communities were smaller, awareness of the personality characteristics and skills of prospective mates were more known by the informal social contact afforded.
Increasing population density and economic-work demands have limited most interpersonal meetings to brief economically-based functional exchanges. More choice and less personal interaction has converted social interaction into personal marketability from a distance. A potential for independent personal esteem has been replaced by self-comparisons to hundreds of others. Such comparisons are almost always demeaning.
BY CUSTOM, men have been encouraged to develop and show their financial plumage. Women, long excluded from high-power and high-paid jobs in commerce, have had to rely upon a sensually expressive shape. With a social identity more closely connected with childbearing, mothering, domestic skills, and social support, the unattached women was unacceptable without shame until the 1990s. The female form has been the foundation of consumerism and billions of dollars of promotional advertising since the 1950s.
BREAST SURGERY.
It is predictable that women would be and have been more obsessive than men in attaining a relative breast size through reduction or implantation surgeries. Some women have developed hypersensitivity reactions to these implants. After decades of legal suits against the suppliers of implants, hundreds of thousands of women remain in pain, discomfort or with immune disorders related to the silicone gels and their packaging. Breast reduction surgery can lessen back strain and chronic pain resulting from over-developed breasts which dwarf the rest of the body profile.
FELLATIO TO ORGASM has been a common topic of sexual expression in peer communication since the release of sex-focused knowledge and customs to the wider public through mass marketing beginning in the 1960s. Common knowledge did not make it relevant, considerate, or healthful. A focus on self-serving technique often destroys intimacy. There are many factors which contribute to the degree of or lack of mutual satisfaction from fellatio. These include: fertility expectations, personal preference, male diet, cleanliness, interpersonal respect, and sensual appreciation. WHEN, and IF, ALL of these are positive to both participants ... fellatio has been demonstrated to result in increased breast size in females. The key word is WHEN.
BREAST FUNCTIONAL POTENTIAL in both male and female is similar.
Overweight persons, regardless of gender, often have sagging breasts. Breasts in both genders consist of milk-producing glands cushioned in a layer of fat supported by pectoral muscle. The glands are connected to the nipple by ducts. There is a report of an Inuit father of a newborn cutting the tip off his nipple in order to stimulate the milk flow when his wife died during delivery. He was able to suckle the infant and save its life. It is normally the gender difference in internal hormone ratios that stimulates the development of some physical attributes while discouraging others.
PECTORAL MUSCLE EXERCISEs are a time honored standard for breast enlargement in male and female. If done during the adolescent growth stage, the degree of development is greatest. Push-ups are the oldest form of common pectoral exercise but they do endanger the strength of one's elbows. Interlocking of the hands, palm across palm, in front of the chest and then flexing the pectoral muscles through pushing the clasped hands inward-outward and together-apart is more safe and as effective. Various body-building and fitness machines duplicate this exercise. Breast definition is largely a question of muscle tone, muscle mass, and fat distribution. A starved and over-exercised female body with below average fat reserves will also have smaller breasts than would genetically be available normally. Finding the best muscle-fat balance is the challenge.
BREAST SHAPE AND TONE.
Unsupported, unstimulated, and over-relaxed breasts sag and stretch lower with age. A daily cold water wash of the breasts has been advocated for a century, and followed for millennia, as a benefit to maintaining tissue tone. Regular full body exercise, regular breast massage, regular breast sensual stimulation, and a moderate body weight all contribute to less opportunity for fat heavy oversized breasts. Cotton bras are healthier for women than synthetic fabrics as evidenced by less hypersensitivity reactions and by the continual recommendations of women athletes who speak of the superior comfort and support of cotton.
