The Higher Self System of Self-Balancing.

WHY include it in my practice?

DISCLAIMER:
In any powerful opportunity for freedom to the individual, a caution must be stated to remind the individual that a failure to listen and adopt processes as described, or, a failure to acknowledge their own level of skill or lack thereof --- may result in an unsatisfactory or adverse outcome.

The system of health enhancement described in these pages is not intended to take the place of conventional or alternative forms of health care when a requirement for either of those is indicated. Only your body knows itself and only your awareness of it can be accurate in acknowledging its requirements for your health recovery, maintenance, and life success.

Empowering Others!

Welcome

This page is focused on informing therapists, counsellors, and consultants on WHY the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing can be a valuable addition to their toolkit of skills. If you are professional by nature --- have a desire to constantly improve your service to your clients --- self-balancing holds many benefits for both yourself personally and for your optimal success with your clients.

You have your own practice with its orientation
so why add another approach.

FIRST, it will bring a level of accuracy to your diagnosis and your selection of remedial tools beyond what you now believe is possible.

SECONDLY, your clients will recover faster and remain recovered rather than require repetitive coaching.

THIRDLY, it will extend your own awareness and skills regardless of your own present professional development.

Differences from other therapies.

Consider how this system can provide a meaningful adjunct to what you are doing now. And remember, many individuals prefer to have a therapist guide them through the initial stages of their balancing.

  1. A Basic Requirement: the participant seeks improvement.

  2. The process is compassionate: challenges for growth not defeat.

  3. Real empowerment is growth from real challenges.

  4. Relevancy of session ingredients is unique.

  5. Individuals are not excluded by their needs.

  6. Competency of the process is direct: one's self.

  7. Enhanced Competency makes self-empowerment a reality.

1. A Basic Requirement:

the participant seeks improvement.

The Higher Self Process is focused on and develops FROM the participant. The participant defines what "improvement" means to them. Most other approaches place the therapist or counsellor in the role of values administrator. That is, they ultimately decide for the patient what the best form of therapy should be and by what yardstick improvements are to measured. Only by complete passivity, which denies the dignity of the participant, can the therapist usually avoid having her/his Ego introduce its own values.

In the Higher Self System, the therapist becomes the tool of the participant, not the mentor. Both share the opportunity to learn from the process. There is no competition for control. The session is guided, in its detail, by neither ego. The therapist assists the participant in receiving the information and guidance which is required. For the therapist, within practical limits, the more clients assisted, the greater her/his own self-empowerment. With this method, the least self-empowered therapist can become one of the highest empowered through service to others.

The participant may define a goal of "improvement" as:

      1. simply, improvement;
      2. energy to replace fatigue;
      3. hopefulness to replace depression;
      4. better relationships and sex;
      5. relevant goal setting;
      6. more accurate decision-making;
      7. greater control over one's life;
      8. enhanced material security;
      9. an understanding of balance, spirituality;
      10. a feeling of acceptance, inclusion, belonging;
      11. a reduction in the number of one's anxieties;
      12. a release from disease symptoms; from pain;
      13. forgiveness for some past act or omission;
      14. a reduction in or absence of conflict;
      15. personalized disease prevention;
      16. chronic illness recovery;
      17. success in one's ...;
      18. more life in one's living;
      19. the ability to truly relax;
      20. faith.

The participating individual is never forced nor abandoned in their progression. Their rate of progression is directly related to the nature of the identity of the participant. Progression is largely independent of one's moral, social, physical or financial reserves.

As the participant progresses along his/her journey to empowerment, they and the therapist become aware of the guiding positive influence of a force which embodies all knowledge and awareness far beyond the capacities of either of them. Practical achieved results supercede theory and good intentions. The process proves itself --- even to the skeptic who holds the basic requirement.

2. The process is compassionate:

challenges for growth not defeat.

Conventional and other forms of alternative therapy (client assistance) are either lengthy, costly, temporary, or, complicated. The difficulty with "lengthy" processes (many have heard of someone going to a psychoanalyst for 40 years!) is that any benefits obtained may be purely coincidental.

Scientific studies of psychological therapies have consistently shown that individuals with difficulties of mental and emotional confusion fared just as well OUT of therapy and in a low stress environment for 6 months or a year as those participating in active therapy. It is unrealistic to "empower" others by seeking to minimize, reduce, or avoid challenges. Doing so creates a synthetic insulated fantasy world in which choices and opportunities are avoided for fear of challenge.

Challenge is acknowledged as an opportunity in the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, ... to grow in awareness and to be motivated to enhance one's skills. By doing this, one may reach their potential. No attempt is made to introduce, define, or precondition one for these challenges. Whatever challenges are encountered, they are directly relevant to the participant. References that are personally significant are often explored in sessions and assist the client in reframing their experiences, increasing their awareness and understanding, and being introduced to and the development of new and constructive coping skills.

When a person releases Energy Blocks, she/he gains a freedom to be aware of more choices, the risks and benefits of each of those choices, and the benefit of Guidance from one's Higher Self. One always has choices, and must make choices --- whether to request, receive and follow such Spiritual Guidance, or, to deny it. They receive a personal experience of it. They are encouraged through a demonstrated reality, not a suggested or imposed institutional, cultural, or religious norm.

Without Spiritual Guidance or choice, one risks simply reacting according to the patterns instilled in one's Unconscious (Reptilian Structure) or according to the personal desires of the Ego, or, the cultural training of the Superego. Along with a growing awareness comes the realization of the inadequacies, tragedies and losses which dominate the unbalanced life given over to the direction of one's Ego, Unconscious, or Superego. The long-term results of one's actions consistently provide a reference point to the participant. By comparison, Spiritual Guidance, followed as provided by the Higher Self, consistently provides outcomes which far exceed, in positive, constructive terms, what was desired in the short-term by the self.

Such achievements and benefits do not come without a price.
Depending upon the person's Basic Personality, personal experiential history, skill development, degree of self-management (co-ordination of Unconscious pre-dispositions, predictive Ego desires, and Superego expectations) a release of one's Energy Blocks and access to one's Higher Self enables, and often results in the presentation of decision-making and life-altering challenges.

The arrival of such previously unexperienced challenges can represent opportunities previously considered as non-options, impossibilities, or improbabilities by the Ego-conscious rationality. The participant now has, and sometimes must now endure, the revelation of what can be. This can threaten to replace and conflict with past desires, pre-dispositions and expectations. Such decisions may be horribly torturous and stressful for the will if it insists on surrendering to its non-spiritual mentors.

Yet one's Higher Self is omnipresent, as the Christ (positive spirit) within each of us ... to guide us calmly, with certainty and hope, through the tempest to peace and empowerment.

The dramatics and intensity of one's challenges will be relevant to one's spiritual mission on Earth.

A seemingly smooth flowing development of one's spirituality and awareness and adoption of one's life mission is the result, for some persons, of their releasing energy blocks.

Rational and irrational consciousness will offer excuses, doubts and fears enough to break the spirit of many and force them to continue to live unfulfilled as spiritual failures. Remember, unless your cultural background has been extremely unusual ... your Ego or SuperEgo, or both ... will have been continually rewarded and empowered in every decision you have made until now.

The door always is open, should they wish to continue at a later time.

Courage will be summoned by others to find and grasp the truths provided by their Higher Self.

Possessed by a strong will and a weak ability for self-management, others will be allowed to progress through their Energy Block release sessions with few challenges and minimal awareness --- to arrive at a threshold. There, they will have the opportunity to take control of their future through aggressive self management and assertive spiritual quest.

Whichever scenario applies to the participant, choice is omnipresent as to how one approaches and receives her/his challenges and how the choice made is resolved.

In a truly compassionate manner, no participant encounters challenges/opportunities for which there is not an accessible constructive choice. For success, the level of achievement, empowerment, awareness, grace, and fulfillment parallels the apparent level of self-sacrifice required.

This should not be confused with self-denial, self-abuse, or self-persecution. The degree of self-sacrifice required is directly related to degree of self-management necessary to enable one to humbly request, and passionately follow the Spiritual Guidance of one's Higher Self. God has no wish for any of us to sustain challenges, pain, failure, or loss. These we bring upon ourselves by following influences which have us choose directions in conflict with those that would be best for us, and intended by God for us. The participation of others in our lives can further build and extend this conflict, or, provide positive influences for our experiences and outcomes.

IF one must be intimately aware of certain experiences, successes, and failures in order to be fruitful in one's mission --- such will be provided through the session details. The Ego (personal values of the client) will encourage the participant to concentrate on the potential emotional hurt or loss and the possible material loss of such challenges, rather than appreciate the spiritual benefits of awareness, confidence, and success to be gained. Choosing the latter, increases the spiritual empowerment of the individual ... for time and time again, doing so results in an undeniable positive result --- often, previously unimagined. Ultimately, their constructive contribution to the world around them may also be mythic.

A truly personalized grow-as-you-go process which automatically attunes itself to the personality, background, and capability of the participant, is seldom delivered by other forms of therapy and self-development.

3. Real empowerment is

growth from real challenges.

What is the PERSONA (Identity ideal/expectation/assumption) which your system of therapy seeks to mold your client into? The persona is the value system of the ego of the founder of your therapy. As he or she believed, is mirrored in what they taught as "balanced", acceptable, or correct? Such assumptions and expectations, regardless of their idealism or religious origin, are extensions of the Ego (dominant or managed) of the founder and/or yourself, UNLESS, they have been mediated by Spiritual Guidance.

When was the last time that you confidently acknowledged an apparently snap decision by your client to leave their job, take large quantities of nutritional supplements, discontinue a prescription, accept the likelihood that they were dying from an incurable disease, have an extramarital affair, convert to another religion, reject your advice? There are MANY decisions which may be highly beneficial to an individual at a particular time yet not a benefit to them at any other time, and seldom to anyone else. RELEVANCY can be the goal rather than authoritarian homogeneity.

Any of these decisions may be temporary and safe choices necessary for the provision of experiences necessary for the empowerment of your client. Yet any, or all of them may conflict with an ego-centered and elitist value system which forms assumptions within your practice. How can you decide and sincerely mentor to these clients whether their decision will be constructive, foolish, risky, or destructive?

Glitzy exciting seminars.
You've attended at least one of those high profile, high cost let's-get-going seminars. Remember how everything sounded so good and wonderful. Everyone was enthusiastic. The energy in the room was high and the sense of hope was ecstatic. Actions and strategies were played out like new roles to clothe oneself with. Yet did the dream materialize for most of those who were there?

Deprived of the supportive seminar environment, REALITY, many individuals later stand naked and alone in a wilderness of decision-making. Few of such attendees enact sustained positive changes. Indeed, the long-term result for some, after one or a series of such seminars ... is one of loss, feebleness, disorientation, frustration, hopelessness. To this is added toxic shame and guilt that oneself has not reached the level of lifelong euphoria publicized as automatically resulting from the seminar and its message.

The only big winners of this approach are those who share the same Thinking Style as the founder AND those with similar personal (Ego) or social (SuperEgo) value structures. That is, the winners are those who have the least and easiest distance to cross. Of course, the speakers and their support team make a very good income and a lot of effort is spent in promotion, not facilitation. For all the good intentions, most attendees are deceptively conditioned to FAILURE, not success. Improving 5% by worsening as many as 95%! Is there an alternative?

With the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, everyone has an equal opportunity for empowerment. Each person participates as an individual. The individuality of one's Personal Spirit, Basic Personality, one's Ego experiences, one's adopted and imposed and hereditarily received Unconscious (Reptilian Structure) behavioural patterns, one's body type and the level of one's culturally conditioned SuperEgo --- are all integrated in the resulting process.

This is done without ANY introductory interview or questionnaire. This is part of the attraction and power of the Higher Self Spiritually Guided process. By concentrating on releasing one's Energy Blocks first and foremost, the influences which robotize the behaviors of the participant into addictive reactive responses --- are reduced. This frees the participant to then appreciate the unbound freedom of spirituality which acts as a foundation to all forms of fulfillment.

Since Energy Blocks have the power to dominate one's degree of self-confidence, self-awareness, self-directedness, self-expectancy, self-motivation, self-image, self-control, self-esteem, self-dimension, self-projection and self-discipline ... they function as predictors of one's attitudes and apparent responses. Programmed to fail through an abuse of or misuse of one's capabilities, the contribution of one's life to harmony in the community and on the Earth is often minimal or negative.

Good intentions are often rationalized under such constraints by the spiritually weakened and unaware Ego-centered identity into actions which willfully deprive others of their dignity, freedom, health and joy. Most wars, exploitive business endeavours, and power-centered technology developments have resulted from good intentions yielding greater problems.

The long-term result of the majority of such efforts has been imbalances which disadvantage the majority of environmental factors and of humanity. The only consistent, dependable, always available source of constructive guidance freely offered to every human for constructive decision-making is each person's Higher Self.

The Higher Self of each person is like a lifeline to God and all that is in the Universe. Regardless of the desire or lack of within an individual to attain a spiritual sense and strength and to access their Higher Self, such ability is greatly diminished and interfered with by the presence of energy blocks. Removing those blocks automatically releases an awareness which is spiritual and a guiding force (balanced intuition) which is partly connected to one's Higher Self, for some participants.

For a more direct and conscious access to one's Higher Self, certain communication skills must be developed by the participant. These have often been repressed within us or denied development by cultural energy block imposition (imprinted irreverence), tragic unmediated experience (energy block creation), and social patterning supporting authoritarianism. Those participants who have stronger wills often have a sense of spiritual denial. Dominated by their Ego-Unconscious-Superego until all or most of their energy blocks are released, it is then that they reach a threshold of CHOICE. For them, a small minority, it is "use it or lose it" time.

One always has a choice to exert self-discipline and self-management to reap the benefits of real empowerment ... which others may have received with greater ease, or, to lack the courage and strength and allow their dominant Ego force to rebuild energy blocks and keep them enslaved. If they reach freedom, the struggle will have been harder than for some, and, the benefits will be greater than for many.

We expect to develop our physical dexterity as we grow so that we may dress and care for ourselves, participate in sports, and learn job skills. We are encouraged to develop our mental dexterity so we translate concepts and interactions into words and formulae, comfort our anxieties and fears with explanations and theories, negotiate, motivate and appease. We have no question of the contribution, necessity and reward for our self-sacrifice to develop these skills. Should there be any less expectation or commitment in developing our spiritual skills?
