The Higher Self System of Self-Balancing.
WHY include it in my practice?
Differences from other therapies, Part Two.
Consider how this system can provide a meaningful adjunct to what you are doing now. And remember, many individuals prefer to have a therapist guide them through the initial stages of their balancing.
- A Basic Requirement: the participant seeks improvement.
- The process is compassionate: challenges for growth not defeat.
- Real empowerment is growth from real challenges.
- Relevancy of session ingredients is unique.
- Individuals are not excluded by their needs.
- Competency of the process is direct: one's self.
- Enhanced Competency makes self-empowerment a reality.
4. Relevancy of session ingredients is unique.
Do you follow a sequential process of application, discussion, analysis, practice, judgement, correction, reinforcement, motivation, retuning --- or a composite of these? How would you like a simpler AND more relevant approach which would serve yourself and your clients better? The former system approach is encumbered by the personality, expectations, assumptions, and various levels of communication skills of yourself and/or your staff. There is an undeniable, even though perhaps unintentional, attempt to remodel the client into the image of some institutionalized ideal. These attempts are irrelevant to the participant whenever they are dissociated from the individual's capability.
It is most aggravating for a client who has serious concerns and high motivation to hear any of the elitist, unaware, ego-driven judgements, so often offered. They can't have a problem because YOU or the medical fraternity do not understand it! Or, to be told that THEIR problem has an answer that has worked for many other people, yet, they do not have access to it! Or, yet again, that THEIR problem must be resolved without consideration for others and even to a point of abuse or self-denail of themselves. And every chronically ill person can tell you that your professional associates have told them so.
Telling a person that they DON'T FIT into one of your treatment categories, or, that indeed they DO fit into a depersonalizing category --- suggests that you are foremost expressing your AUTHORITY, and secondly, are considering THEIR problem. If they have come to you with the belief that you are magically going to resolve their difficulties --- and you believe that you can --- and you can --- this approach may be acceptable. In reality, you know that without the teamwork required for them to provide you with details for you to evaluate, and, for them to follow the advice and instructions you provide to them --- your effectiveness will be nil. And, if we are talking about teamwork, then "their" problem becomes "our" problem.
Responses to the client are irrelevant if they do not involve the client in empowerment. Such authority-based responses de-motivate, lower self-esteem, diminish self-image, surrender self-control and self-directedness, deny self-awareness, and, twist self-projection. You may create a slave, a sick slave who comes to worship and beg at your door. And, in a materialistic society that rewards you with a steady stream of sessions and income. You become and feel POWER, extracted from those who look to you for help. Is that really WHY you entered the field of therapy?
We are talking about structure, aren't we?
If I take away the core structure of your therapeutic approach --- your Authority --- what do you have left? But, but, ... you say, aren't all therapies necessarily structured? Isn't the therapist supposed to know more than the client? How else can this interaction be approached? Isn't that what the client expects and demands? How can I justify my value without the power of acceptance offered to strangers by my academic degrees, certificates, professional affiliations and memberships, government acknowledgement, and mass educated passivity?
The individual's capability for self-empowerment is dissociated, in 95% of such cases, by whatever authoritarian therapeutic approach you choose. The capability of the participant is determined by their Basic Personality strengths and weaknesses, their Ego assumptions, their Superego expectations, and most of all --- the resident and presenting Energy Blocks which automate their behavior into addictive reactive habit patterns. Encouraging such persons, entreating them, forcing them, guiding them ... in an attempt to have them "get the message" is at best coercive and at worst, self-deceptive.
The result of authoritarian-biased therapies is often an overlay of new patterns over strongly rooted ones. These "work" fine until there is a true challenge. Then, all the "training" falls apart and the patient goes into "regression"! What has really happened is that the strongest resident pattern is accessed by the Unconscious (Reptilian Structure) during an instance of alarm --- exactly what is neurologically structured to take place. Yet no amount of force or overlaying is going to drive that pattern out regardless of its destructive consequences.
And if you cannot neurologically pinpoint the pattern, repatterning may prove difficult. Instead, many therapists are reported as getting either frustrated and angry with their "weak" and "ignorant" client, or, conciliatory towards their "childish" and "immature" subject. Yes they do tell others what you say about them --- because it hurts them! What can be done?
Why not dissolve such a neurochemical restraint away?
Yes, it can be done.
First, you have to pinpoint it.
In the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, the Higher Self of the participant provides the cross-references through details like age of trauma, nature of trauma, the associations connected to the event, and the details for dissolving it away.
Secondly, the person's Higher Self will instruct you as to how much detail the participant's Ego is strong enough to absorb --- so as not to produce another Energy Block --- and a most effective solution is at hand.
Once the offending block is released, discarding the old pattern is often automatic.
Openness to the development of better coping skills for future energy block avoidance also follows closely. If this opportunity is acted upon, the likelihood of a similar blocks being regenerated is slim. The result: even under a high degree of negative stress, the original behavior, which was destructive and limiting --- does not reappear. This is why energy block removal is central to the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing.
No therapy can be more relevant to the participant. Self-disclosure in response to revealed energy block particulars is entirely within the choice and discretion of the Ego (Personal values) and Basic Personality of the participant. Whether such is minimal or to any degree as far as complete becomes whatever is appropriate for the individual. The process succeeds and the participant increases in empowerment.
5. Individuals are not excluded by their needs.
In the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, no participant is required to be or to have the following in order to receive constructive personalized assistance:
- righteousness;
- morality or conscience;
- positive self-esteem;
- self-responsibility;
- an obvious need of assistance.
ASSUMPTIONS.
How many so-called self-improvement or problem resolving therapies or systems demand or assume one of the above factors as an admission requirement. Many of the people who want benefit from your assistance do NOT want, and may not even be aware of such a concept as self-empowerment. They come for help in resolving a personal problem.
Educated in an authority-based materialistic society, they expect YOU to do the work for them. They are so co-dependent upon other officials in their society that further surrender of independence is almost expected by the time they make their way to your door. As a caring professional, you would like to help them become more self-directed, self-aware, and self-responsible.
With government and personal budget restraints, your time and their time must be most efficiently used, and that means less time for diagnosis and support. For some patients, it is simply a question of "Give me the prescription" and "Goodbye." Some persons are entirely obnoxious, so you're associates remind you. They are poor, ill mannered, self-obsessed, irreverent, non-communicative, loud, passive, overly aggressive ... Do you really want or need this type of clientele? If you want to empower these persons, how can you do so without going broke, becoming depressed, losing your patience, or, only serving the well-to-do (who can be equally demanding)?
No such moral judgements are made in
The Higher Self System of Self-Balancing about the participants. No personal history need be taken. Providers who use the System know from their experience that many persons harboring large numbers of energy blocks remember little of their past and even less with accuracy or great detail. They know that from what seem like simplistic sessions, miracles can and often do occur.
Destructive "personality" characteristics can fade away.
Allergies and sensitivities can be reduced in their impact and even eliminated. Health difficulties can be alleviated and even cured together with the tendencies which promoted their development. And all of these may happen spontaneously from a person simply wanting to improve a relationship or increase their income.
And what of the pious intolerant individual who enters your office projecting the image of a saint, speaking in idealisms, while displaying gross judgementalism and self-deception. Released of some of their energy blocks, they tell you that they now feel a greater sense of reverence and closeness to their God --- something they thought they had but now, looking back, had no concept or experience of.
Transformed, they now empathize with others and freely seek to aid the less fortunate. Yet all they came to you for was to reduce an annoying swallowing problem for which they were taking 3 prescription drugs to no avail. Providers of this approach know from their experience that however little or much their client benefits, he/she will benefit not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. The need of the person becomes the door by which the spirit can be freed to expression.
Free of controlling Energy Blocks, the participant freely reveals positive core spiritual values that lies within every human. Increasingly, the becoming balanced participant demonstrates positive self-esteem, self-responsibility, and an increased capacity for coping and constructive interaction.
The Higher Self System of Self-Balancing confirms that all persons, stripped of their energy blocks are fundamentally good and capable of spiritual awareness and expression. Integrating this approach with your own gives you the flexibility to customize easily what you now offer --- so as to be optimally effective for each of your clients on a personal basis.
6. Competency of the process is direct:
one's self.
How is competency determined in your therapeutic approach? Do you promote your abilities and authority as an extension of any of these:
- educational degrees,
- hours or years in practice,
- number of clients, patients,
- size of practice, number of staff,
- number of journal articles published,
- frequency of media appearances,
- dramatic recovery of your clients,
- reputation of the founder,
- longevity of approach,
- acceptance by the community,
- strength of ethics/character,
- number of referrals.
If you promote your practice by any of these factors you have missed the most important and relevant authority of all: your client.
What does the Higher Self of your client know that neither the Ego (Personal values and expectations) consciousness of your client nor your own self knows? That is, what does the Guiding Spirit of your client know?
During the development of the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing it was found with EVERY participant that the Higher Self of that individual could be "interviewed". The results were always accurate where they could be confirmed. The information received was bounded only by the QUALITY of the QUESTIONS presented, the options available and the open-mindedness of the facilitator.
Information received from a qualified participant when tested by a skilled facilitator included these topic areas:
- number of currently presenting energy blocks ;
- remedy required to release each energy block;
- strength of each remedy required;
- age of participant at origin of block;
- conditions under which each block was formed;
- focus of influence of each block on one's attitudes;
- feelings involved with and controlled by each block;
- failures of health, relationships, opportunities;
- experiential history of one's parent's and ancestors;
- readings required for repatterning and awareness;
- affirmations required to catalyze the release process;
- activities and behaviors favourable to the desired result;
- use of which vitamins, minerals, herbs, drugs, foods;
- strength, dosage and duration of use of any supplement;
- selection of self-development courses for optimal personal benefit;
- optimal decision-making on almost any matter.
Can you presently determine the above in a manner which is uniquely sensitive to each person who comes to you? Can you do this without having your client complete extensive questionnaires and/or persevere through lengthy or repetitive interviews? Is the memory of your client complete and accurate? Are you always accurate in each detail and its assessment? Would it not enhance your practice and the health of your clients if you could facilitate this? Which identity is more intimately involved with each of the factors noted: the self of your client, or, your self?
7. Enhanced Competency makes
self-empowerment a reality.
By its sheer political mass, we live in a society that has found it most easy to provide an orderly and consistent level of service through the institutionalization of procedures and the standardization of skills. Institutionalization depends upon the power of politically and socially accepted (certified or sanctioned) authority.
We are taught by example and penalty at all levels of our society to accept politically sanctioned authorities --- without question --- and, whenever possible, to obey. In response to our toxic shame of never being good enough to direct our own lives and be responsible for our own health, we frequently contribute to and perpetuate such institutionalization-biased attitudes, expectations and assumptions. We sacrifice our resources and our individuality --- and often our morals --- to gain the privilege of such sanctions.
Social recognition, peer acceptance, material wealth, political power, economic stability, and authority over others ... all await us. It is easy for us to self-deny the spiritual restrictions, co-dependency, and moral enslavement which form the basis of the reverence we receive from others and which feeds the pride of our Ego. And so co-dependency has become easy and endemic:
- substance co-dependency (addiction),
- behavior co-dependency (compulsion),
- attitude co-dependency (prejudice),
- moral co-dependency (rationalization),
- relationship co-dependency (obsession),
- material co-dependency (commercialization),
- social co-dependency (lack of personal self-direction).
The legacy has been great:
- low self-esteem,
- meagre self-awareness,
- inadequate self-control,
- destructive lifestyle and health practices,
- destructive relationships,
- weak spirituality,
- inadequate contentment,
- loss of peace, and
- diminished self-direction.
As a therapist, you are charged with empowering the individual beyond these limitations.
To truly empower any individual, this structure of co-dependency must be broken. Are you truly empowering your clients or simply making co-dependency more comfortable? Are your clients coming in from the battlefield only to have you put on a bandaid, tell them that all will be Ok ... and then send them back to the battlefield, unprepared for the next challenge? Are you not rewarded for having your clients return time after time to you? If we really empowered our clients they would return less and less often until only for personal socializing. Is it possible to work towards and accomplish this goal in a practical way?
With the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, you can optimally empower each client in a uniquely personalized manner. With humility, you accept that the self which comes to you for help requires facilitation, not domination. You recognize that their inner Higher Self is a powerful resource with which you can work to accurately, quickly and optimally diagnose, prescribe and advise.
The self-esteem of your client is empowered by your acknowledgement of the gift of the Higher Self which is within them. The relevant, accurate and constructive ... and consistent results encourage their self-direction and provide them with a choice of expanding their self-awareness. Their self-control builds. Their levels of anxiety, tension and fear reduce. Their health improves --- often dramatically. Spiritually, they have the opportunity, increasing freedom and Higher Self mentoring to become stronger. Their contribution to society grows.
The Higher Self --- you're not sure what that means. An integral part of Edward Bach's Flower Essence writings is his definition of and focus on one's Higher Self. In the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing seminars, the self is presented as a union of:
- body (physical health),
- Ego (Personal values),
- Unconscious (Reptilian Structure),
- Superego (Social values, norms),
- Basic Personality (capabilities),
- Personal Spirit (energy), and
- Higher Self (Spiritual Guidance).
One's Personal Spirit is that formless, timeless, spiritual feature which brings the body to life. At death, it leaves the body.
One's Higher Self is that formless, timeless, spiritual feature which is ever present to spiritually guide the individual in whichever decision or option is optimal for the person to reach and remain in a spiritual lifestyle ... the benefit of which is contentment, happiness, and salvation --- through the carrying out of one's life mission. If everyone carried out their life's mission, living on the Earth would be heavenly for all --- according to the actions, achievements, choices and awareness of each participant.
In a Christian context, the Higher Self is one's personal ever present attachment to the Holy Spirit ... which itself is the communicating feature of God. In essence, one's Higher Self is the Christ image within each of us. The more aware of and in contact with it one is, the more spiritually capable one is.
One's Higher Self knows everything there is to know about you/yourself. It knows what your constructive mission in life is. It has the capability to guide you to and assist you to accomplish such a life mission --- the result of which is contentment, peace, and spiritual empowerment. It will NEVER direct you to something you are incapable of ... even though your Ego often believes you are incapable. It will NEVER advise you to disadvantage another person. Your Higher Self can also communicate with the Higher Selves of other persons.
You are encouraged to develop the skills to contact your Higher Self, in the Higher Self System of Self-Balancing, and, if desired, to contact the Higher Selves of others who ask you to facilitate them resolve problems, make decisions, be empowered, regain their health. In the non-abusive, reverent and respectful nature of spirituality, one's Higher Self NEVER interferes, dominates, ignores, or conflicts with the positive direction of one's life experience and contribution.
While you have a body, your Personal Spirit mediates your choices. If you have Energy Blocks, those choices are compromised ... even negated. From birth, that power of choice is assumed by the Ego until your Personal Spirit ... with awareness, freedom, and self-discipline, or, energy blocks --- determines which facet of your identity will be looked to for guidance. When it takes more responsibility for your success and health, your Personal Spirit looks to your Higher Self, manages the Ego, Superego, and Basic Personality, and, trains and re-educates the Unconscious. The Higher Self has one rule:
"Ask (a question), and it (the answer) shall be given/answered."
The corollary:
"If you don't ask, you don't get!"
ARE YOU ASKING?
